99 Bloody Lashes And A Bullet To His Hear

Chapter 30

One week later, the century wedding between the Foster family and the Adams family was held as scheduled.

Considering Emily's pregnancy, the wedding ceremony was simplified.

Despite the reduced proceedings, the luxury of the event still amazed the attending guests.

The room was filled with Juliet roses, which Daniel had specially planted for Emily

ten years ago.

The entire ceiling was adorned with diamond crystals, custom-designed and ordered by Daniel for Emily.

Even the dishes served to the guests were specially ordered by a master chef, designed according to Emily's preferences.

Every detail of the wedding reflected Daniel's deep affection for Emily.

The guests couldn't help but marvel, their words full of envy.

"Mr. Foster and Ms. Adams really have a great relationship. I heard they've been childhood sweethearts."

"Exactly, I heard Mr. Foster almost lost his life to save Ms. Adams back then."

"If I could marry someone like Mr. Foster, my life would be worth it..."

No matter how much the guests discussed Daniel and Emily's love, Daniel paid no attention.

He was focused on his phone, his eyes full of hesitation.noveldrama

Checking the time, Sarah should have arrived at the hotel last night.

But from last night until now, he hadn't received a single call or message from Sarah.

After all, Sarah was someone her father had specifically entrusted him to look after before going abroad. If anything happened to Sarah, he wouldn't know how to explain it to her father.

With that thought, Daniel sent Sarah a message. "How are you doing now?" Just as the message was sent, the wedding manager knocked on his door.

"Mr. Foster, the wedding is about to begin. You can start your entrance preparation now."

Daniel quickly placed his phone on the table and responded, "I'll be right there."

As Daniel closed the door, his phone, which hadn't been turned off, suddenly lit up.

A bright red exclamation mark appeared next to the message he had sent.

Meanwhile, the sound of a soft piano filled the air.

At the end of the flower-lined aisle, Daniel stood, his eyes filled with deep affection, watching Emily, dressed in white, walking slowly toward him.

She held up the long train of her dress, stepping gracefully toward him.

It should have been an exciting moment, but Daniel's heart felt strangely calm.

As he watched Emily's steps, for some reason, Sarah's image suddenly flashed before his eyes.

She, too, had been in a white wedding gown, joyfully walking toward him with love in her eyes, calling his name sweetly.

"Daniel."

"Daniel."

The image of Sarah blurred with the figure of Emily as Emily waved her hand and called out to him, concerned.

"Daniel, what's wrong?"

Snapping out of his thoughts, Daniel instinctively shook his head to rid himself of the image of Sarah.

A soft smile curved his lips as he replied, "It's nothing. You look beautiful today."

The sweet words made Emily blush ever so slightly, her ears tinged with pink.

The ceremony continued, and the priest began to read the vows, asking Daniel if he would take the woman before him as his wife.

It should have been an instant response, but Daniel paused for a moment, his gaze wandering from Emily's expectant face to the guests, all waiting eagerly.

Finally, his eyes drifted toward the empty doorway.

A long time ago, Sarah had said that if he ever dared to marry another woman, she would show up and stop the wedding.

Daniel knew she wasn't joking, which is why he had stationed many bodyguards at the door today to prevent her from crashing the wedding.

But now, halfway through the ceremony, the girl who had promised to interrupt the wedding still hadn't shown up.

It should have been a relief, but Daniel couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right.

Could it be that Sarah, like she said, truly didn't have feelings for him anymore?
