Wrong But Right
“What do we do next?” I asked him about feeling vulnerable even though I hated the feeling of vulnerability.
“Get a secured computer office and print out those documents” he said to me.
“Then what do we do next?” I asked him, feeling annoyed that I had to rely on him for every information.
“Keep it safe and wait. ” he said to me.
“OK” I said to him. Before I was done, he hung up the call on me.
I was truly angry because nobody hung the phone on me. I had to swallow the bitter pill waiting for my day of revenge when I would have gotten all I needed from him.
He will certainly not be expecting what is about to come for him.

I moved the documents to my drive and drove my car to a computer shop close to my house. I only had to go there because I had no other shop that is secure and which offers me security.
I could not trust such relevant information to get into the wrong hands. I entered the computer shop and met the owner of the shop. He was the only one that came to the shop today and I was glad because at least this information will still be a secret.
I was even more thankful that it was a do-it-yourself computer shop.
Once I was done printing, I dialed Michael’s number and I informed him that I was done with printing out the document.
“Okay. Let’s meet. Right now.” He said and dropped the call.
Typical of him to always be the one to drop the call first. I have to add this to my bucket list: to be the first to hang up the call when speaking with Michael on the phone.
Narrator’s pov
Michael dialed Damon’s number immediately he dropped the call with Alexander. Damon picked the call on the second ring.
“Yes Michael.”
“The document has been sent to Alexander sir. What should be our next line of action?”
“Meet up with him and make sure you get a hold of that document. The boss needs it.”
“Understood sir.”
“One more thing Matthew. Don’t ever let Alexander out of your sight so he does not tarnish the boss’ image before he arrives. Mr. Pierce will be back in a few months.”
“Okay.”
Michael dropped the phone and signaled to the guy standing before him to sit.
“What’s the update Bob”
“He is one reckless guy Michael. But we make sure to clean up after him.”
“Good. Make sure you keep every evidence of his mess. It might come in handy in the future when the boss is back.”This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
“Okay. Are you going to see him now?”
“Unfortunately, yes. They may look so much alike but I’m tired of seeing his own face. He is a douchebag. I will see you later.”
Michael stood up and strode out of the apartment to hail a cab.
Alexander Pierce POV
I arrived just in time. And not long after I settled down, I saw Michael approaching me. He must have left his car somewhere else in order to avoid being tracked down by anybody.
“We meet again,” he said to me, smiling like a toddler who just got an ice cream.
“Yes, we will meet again,” I said to him.
He sat down on one of the seat opposite me.
“Where are the documents?” He asked me to try to be as casual as possible even though he failed woefully at it.
“I am here with it” I said to him.
“Can I have it?” He requested
“Not yet. At least not until I know I can trust you” I said to him.
“Why do you not trust me?” He asked looking truly amazed
“I do not think I know you enough to trust you” I said to him.
“What do you want to know about me?” He asked, raising up his hands to the air in amazement.
“What if you only intend to use me as a pawn to achieve your selfish goal and try to do away with me after achieving your selfish interest?” I asked him
“If I truly needed those documents in your hands for my personal use, do you think I would wait for you before I get it?” He asked me.
“Maybe” I said, not wanting to be a prey to his trick.
“I will give you this document but I swear if you try to play any games with me, you will regret it forever.” I threatened him and from the look of realization in his eyes, he got the message.
Thornton POV
I was happy with the new development even though I still felt unsure about it.
This will definitely impact my business positively. I can only imagine the good things that will happen if we are able to get these huge amount.
I knew those documents were truly confidential but we needed to release them especially to a potential investor and Co owner of the company.
At that moment, I got a call from my lawyer
“Hello. To what do I owe this pleasant surprise” I said to him over the phone.
“This is no pleasant surprise because I do not know why you will give out such information as confidential as this” he said to me
I had totally forgotten that I informed him about the transaction even though I had refused to accept his advice on the matter.
This is the first time I ignored the advice of my lawyer in a financial decision but I know for sure he is being too protective of me and my business.
This is one of the reasons I maintained him for a long time though.
“What will you have me do? Sit down and watch my business crumble when I found a lifeline all because of some documents that will be useless when the business shut down?” I asked him.
At this point, my lawyer kept quiet. Obviously, he knew my mind was made up and he did not bother to argue with me
