Chapter 21 - Tommy Tom Tom
Chapter 21 - Tommy Tom Tom
Sky stayed all Friday at mine's planning and sending last-minute texts to every single person on earth.
We made too many lists to count. Shopping lists, guest lists... it was too organized for my own taste.
We sent Loca and Ian to buy the supplies while we started with decorating every inch of the house. It
was going to be perfect! I asked mom and dad to hire people to do this but they were so convinced I
could do it. They left this morning to visit uncle Cody. Even though they could have just invited him
over. I mean c'mon he was living in literally next door!
"Does this look good enough?" I asked Sky when I was done with making a banner. She put her hands
on her hips and made a hmm while tilting her head a little.
"Perfect!" She beamed, but then her smile turned to a scowl when she checked her watch. "Where are
your siblings until now?" I shrugged. They were probably getting drinks or wasting time so they wouldn't
help. Speaking of not helping, Jason ditched us. "And where the hell is Jason till now? I'll chop his head
when I see him!" She said as if reading my thoughts. She chuckled darkly as if she made the best joke
ever and all of a sudden, I was scared!
We continued working and the house was looking pretty good with fairy lights and colourful banners.
We even went to the extent of getting a disco ball. It was all going perfectly, at least until the doorbell
rang. Loca and Ian would never ring the doorbell and neither would Jason because he said he would
come in at least two hours.
We still had four hours to finish before anyone should come. So why was the door ringing now? I
stomped to open it angrily. It was enough of a bummer Tom was nowhere to be seen. Or found. Or
anything. Maybe he ditched me! Noo, he wouldn't ditch my birthday, right?
"Is that a wrong address?" The boy at the door asked. Not any boy, my Tommy!
"Haha," I mocked in sarcasm. I was still angry. Okay, maybe not that much! "Come in," I said grabbing
him by his shirt and rolling my eyes. He chuckled. But my brain was going all like where did all these
muscles come from? Where was scrawny Thoams? The wonders time could do!
"You changed so much, twinkle!" Thomas said once we got in hugging me so hard that all the air in my
lungs was gone. I hated the nickname but I learnt very long time ago he wasn't letting it go. It was
because I used to sing a lot as a child.
"Look who's talking." He chuckled, my mood was growing brighter by the second. I headed over to Sky.
"So, Thomas, that's my bestie, Sky." I used his full name just to annoy him.
"Hey, Sky!" He waved and then turned to me. "How dare you call anyone else your bestie?" He said in
fake hurt. He even went to the extent of sniffing and removing a nonexistent tear.
"Yeah yeah!" I said nonchalantly. "Then why didn't you come here earlier?" I glared at him, sending
daggers.
"Because I was using my parents private jet to tour the world, and get you the perfect birthday gift." His
lips raised into a side smirk. I raised a brow at him.
"If you were predicting I would get you a present too, then you're miserably wrong." I grinned. That was
evil! It was both our birthdays. He was brought to the world three hours before me which was annoying
as hell! He always made a point of stating how he was older, ever since he could talk!
"Wait, I'm confused." Sky said abruptly.
"I'm older than miss twinkle here by three hours so yeah, it was my birthday first!" See, that was what I
was just talking about! "About my present?"
"No negotiations." I deadpanned.
"But, ugh! I hate you."
"No, you don't." I kissed his cheek. "Now we need help!" I said in the bossiest voice ever.
He groaned but then started working. When Loca and Ian finally showed up, Sky started grilling them to
get to work. Even Jason got early because Sky threatened his life. So, when the clock ticked seven, we
were done. It was perfect but we were all in desperate need of showering.
It was times like these that made me love our house. There was simply no need to fight over who
would shower first. We had enough bathrooms.
"Everyone, you have thirty minutes because I need to discuss urgent matters before the party." She
said in a business-like manner. "Now, chop chop chop." She clapped her hands earning groans from
everyone except me, I was hysterically laughing. She narrowed her eyes at me and I remembered how
she threatened Jason. My eyes widened and I raised my hands in surrender then ran to my room to
take my much-needed shower.
When I got out, I put on the dress mom made especially for my birthday and even though I didn't like to
dress up, I couldn't argue the dress was gorgeous. There was something charming about red firey
dresses that could show your legs. Matching it with red heels and an infinity gold chocker made me
look gorgeous if I say so myself.
The door to my room burst open when I was halfway through brushing my hair. The whole group were
ready and seated in different parts of the room.
"Ever heard of manners?" I rolled my eyes. No, the answer was no. They kept silent until I was done.
"Can someone tell me why the hell you broke into my room like a group of gangstas?"
"Are you dating Ron?" Loca asked. No, not again!
"I knew it!" Tom exclaimed. "I mean you wouldn't date without even mentioning the guy to me first."
Look who was talking. Mr-I-wouldn't-reply-to-any-of-your-emails-even-though-we're-bestfriends!
"That's why we're here. You have too many options, Eli." Sky said while I rolled my eyes. Yeah, right!
Like anyone would want to date me. They might like Cinnamon. Speaking of her, I didn't have time to
date!
"Then you're wasting your time." I shrugged debating whether I should apply light makeup or not.
"Elena, I know I'm your brother and you don't want to date and what I'm about to say is gross, but
you're cute," Ian whispered only for me to hear. Aww... "And it's about time you lived your normal life for
once and forget everything else." Maybe.
"C'mon, Eli!" Tom said. Why was he even in this stupid thing. He just met Sky and he became a replica!
"I can't even believe that guys are interested in you while you're rejecting them. That's pretty badass!"
Thank you? I decided to apply a little mascara and some lipstick. Maybe a hint of blush too?
"The greatest candidates right now are Louis and Ron. So choose one and kiss him tonight." What the
eff? Was she serious? How could this be my own sister?
They kept going like this for a while, it got pretty messy so I tuned them out. All I could hear was their
bla blah blah. So I was good. Until people started showing up.
I went downstairs with Tommy, we literally put a red carpet especially for this. I knew how much he
loved being in the spotlight so what was better than a red carpet?
As I got down, I spotted mom, dad, uncle Cody and his wife aunt Rose. Myelin, Tom's sister was
nowhere to be found which suited me. She was never friendly. Her exact words were 'I don't like to play
with children'. Her loss, I guess.
I headed over to greet them but they kept telling me not to get drunk and stuff like these. I didn't even
drink! I didn't like the idea of losing control over your brain so, no, thanks.
When I was done with hearing advice, I decided to actually try to enjoy my time. Maybe even try to
dance and loosen up a bit. But first I needed a coke. I headed over to where we put the drinks. I made
sure to specifically put nonalcoholic drinks on this table so people with good sense could find
something to drink.
"So, I leave my fake girlfriend for a day and she turns into a Cinderella?" I turned around at his voice. I
almost smiled but unfortunately, it irritated me when he said I was his girlfriend when obviously I wasn't.
"Hoodies looked great but dresses are awesome too." He winked and flashed me his dimple. No, I was
immune to that.
"I thought we were done with that silly joke." I rolled my eyes and took a sip from my drink enjoying the
coolness.
"Your mom still believes it, even if you said I'm not, she's not gonna stop believing it." He grinned. This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Well, unless you get a real boyfriend." He shrugged and took a coke from the table.
"Just watch me, I can get any boy I want, any moment I want," I said in a challenging voice. No, no, no,
wait! What was I doing? I didn't need a boy or whatever!
"You're going to cheat on your fake boyfriend, shame on you, Shana, I'm hurt." He wiped off a fake
tear.
"Stop the nickname already," I said in a whiny voice. Dammit, where did that voice even come from?
"So would you like to dance?" He offered me his hand. But the strong independent woman in me didn't
like guys like him.
"No, thanks. I'll go find Tom." I looked around as if trying to spot him.
"Who's that?"
"My real boyfriend," I said sticking my tongue out at him. I knew that was an obvious lie but it could stop
him from annoying me with pretending to be my boyfriend and with the nickname. Ugh!
I decided it would be great to spend some time with Tommy but guess who he was talking to. Louis!
Could my life get any better? Yes! It was obviously a disaster!
"Twinkle!" He shouted. I couldn't turn around and just leave now, right? Too late, Elena. Too late. When
I reached him, he pulled me into a bear hug. Classic Tommy, always a hugger! "Wow El, you're just
looking soo cute." He said not letting go, I smiled at him when we finally broke away. His brows were
furrowed like he was in deep thought. "What was I about to say? Ooh, right. That Louis." He pointed at
him. "He's a model. Is that amazing not?" His eyes widen in admiration and that was how I knew he
was already drunk. If the smell wasn't proof enough, this was. But wow! Thirty minutes in a party and
he was already drunk! That was a record even for Tommy.
"Tom, are you drunk?" I asked just to tease him.
"Nope, I'm not drank." He blinked. "Is it drank or drunk?" He cocked his head.
"Never mind, Tommy. Also, I already know that asshole." I grinned at him. His surprise was yet to
come. Jason didn't get the chance to break the news to him so it looked like I would sadly have to do
it!
