Chapter 370 Endearing Words
Sierra wasn't going to go easy on Janice either. She retorted, "Well, that's because I have a boyfriend, and you don't!"noveldrama
Cayden and the other students who were single were at a loss for words.
Janice was stumped. She glared at Sierra for a long time before she turned around in a huff.
Sierra also turned around. It was as if she didn't want to talk to Janice either.
They looked so childish that Theo reached out and gently pinched her cheek. "We're here to buy presents. Let's go."
The crowd was forced to witness the lovey-dovey moment earlier. So, they tacitly stepped away from the couple and started discussing what presents they wanted to buy for their respective families.
As they strolled through the mall, everyone saw that all Sierra had to do was purchase anything she liked, while Theo followed behind and carried all her shopping bags.
At first, the sight stunned them. Then, they gradually got used to it, and their perception of his character slowly changed as well.
It was afternoon when everyone put their stuff back in the hotel. After a break until over 7:00 pm, they went to the street fairs and enjoyed the fireworks.
After an exhilarating trip to Vellmont City, Theo took Sierra back to Oceanea City. When their plane touched down, she immediately gave Madison a call, asking her to come get her gift at Southridge Heights.
"Cee, I can't believe you still think of me when you went to the competition." Madison gave Sierra a big hug the moment she saw her.
Sierra pushed Madison away disdainfully before letting her in.
"That reminds me. How was the wedding present-" Madison spoke as she changed into a pair of indoor slippers, but she was cut off when Sierra suddenly covered her mouth.
She was squirming when she saw Theo, who was tidying up something in the living room. She immediately put on a serious expression, winked at Sierra, and patted her hand.
"Think before you speak." Sierra's cheeks grew warm as she thought about the "gift".
She didn't release her grip until after Madison nodded.
"Hi, Mr. Gray." Madison waved and greeted him.
Sierra turned around, walked over to the couch, and sorted through the various shopping bags before she finally gave Madison a bag that was filled to the brim. "Here you go. All yours."
Madison grinned from ear to ear. The moment she got her presents, she couldn't wait to open them on the spot.
"This is the perfume that I have always meant to buy. Also, this is the lipstick I've wanted for a long time."
Sierra was sensitive, but that also meant she was thoughtful and considerate. She had always been good at accurately determining what the people around her liked.
Madison was screaming out of pure joy while she held her presents. Sierra felt both helpless and secretly happy as she stood and let Madison merrily shake her.
"Alright. Go upstairs, guys. I'll pack everything up." Theo offered a much-needed helping hand just in time.
Sierra felt a little embarrassed and responded softly, "I appreciate it."
He rubbed her head before he lowered his and got more stuff out of the leather suitcase.
Once they were on the second floor, Madison looped her arms around Sierra's and said softly, "Mr. Gray is turning out to be a keeper."
"Hey, mind your words. What do you mean by keeper?" Sierra smiled helplessly, intending to pry Madison's arm off.
However, Madison tightened her grip and asked Sierra about everything that had happened during the latter's trip to Vellmont City for the competition.
After a two-day break, Sierra and Theo brought the presents to Gray Manor. Before they left, they bumped into Janet and Sophie, and a verbal fight ensued.
Ever since Sierra fell out of love with Benson, she had never let these two get the better of her again.
Once they were in the car, Theo noticed she was staring out the window, her mind wandering off. He assumed she was upset because of the previous encounter.
"We can avoid going back to Gray Manor that frequently if you don't like seeing them. We can always go to a restaurant when Grandpa misses you."
"Huh?" Sierra turned around, feeling somewhat surprised. She mentioned gently, "I-I was just thinking about the next competition."
Theo stared at her emotionlessly for several seconds. Once he was sure she wasn't lying, he calmly turned his gaze ahead.
What do you think?
