After Divorcing my Captain Husband (Chloe and Michael)

Quinn's eyes locked onto hers, and as they stared at each other, Chloe didn't look away. She looked confused, unsure of what he wanted to say. After a long silence, it was Quinn who finally gave in.

"Chloe, is there nothing you want to tell me?"

After Chloe and Michael had left earlier, he had been standing with Jessica and Candy when Candy accidentally let something slip, so now he knew everything. That was why, after dropping Jessica off, he rushed back here.

He even ran up the stairs.

Chloe hesitated, suddenly remembering that she had planned to tell him about her plans to leave the country after the fireworks display.

Quinn sighed in exasperation. "Chloe, have you never considered me as one of your own?"

Chloe grew a bit agitated. She hadn't told him because she didn't know how to say it.

Although her plans to leave the country were set, whether she would return or when was still undecided.

And now that Chloe knew about his feelings for her, she was even more at a loss for how to bring it up.

They both fell into silence, the air between them heavy.

Chloe took a deep breath to gather her thoughts, then spoke first, "Quinn, it was wrong of me not to tell you sooner, and I apologize for that. But you and Candy have always been my closest friends, my support system!"

But then Quinn interrupted her, "But I don't want to be just your friend."
