Chapter 677
Ever since Ariana had made her move against Chloe, Michael had taken it upon himself to dig into her background.
Ariana didn't have much of a pedigree; she had clawed her way up from the bottom.
However, the methods she used to get there were anything but honorable. The kind of underhanded tactics she employed against Chloe were just another day at the office for her. If Ariana wanted to keep using those sleazy tricks to steal business, that was her choice.
But not all hackers were as shameless as she was.
Most of them still had some pride, and if her dirty deeds ever came to light, she'd be scorned in the industry.
Ariana glared at Michael, her frustration palpable, but she felt utterly powerless against him.
"Are you still here?" Michael shot her a look, one that suggested he was merely tolerating her presence.
Ariana's gaze flitted between them, her anger boiling over. She shot Chloe a final glare before storming off in defeat.
James, who had been standing quietly to the side, finally spoke up, "Aren't you worried she might retaliate against Chloe?" He thought to himself, "Michael really knows how to make enemies."
"She'd better have the guts to try," Michael replied coolly, already having instructed his assistant to handle the situation.
Ariana wouldn't be a problem for Chloe anymore.
She could sulk all she wanted, but it was high time she figured out how to make a living.
James shrugged, following Michael into the house.
They kicked off their shoes and flopped onto the couch. After exchanging a knowing glance, James quipped, "So, you wanna challenge me again, rookie?"
Michael shot him a silent look, and they both instinctively reached for the remote, turning the TV back on and pulling up their favorite game.
Candy, curious about their antics, stood behind them, watching intently.
When they logged in, her eyes widened in disbelief.
"You named yourself 'Universe Super Invincible Spinny Pineapple Head Handsome Guy'?!"
Candy stared at Michael, feeling as if her entire worldview had been rocked.
She never imagined this reserved guy would pick such a ridiculous name for himself in a game.
Michael remained unfazed. "What's wrong with that?"
"Nothing, nothing at all! Totally fine!" Candy mered, glancing at

It made her feel better to know she wasn't the only one taken aback.
"Hey, Candy, are you staying for dinner?"
"Is that a problem?" Candy shot back, slightly annoyed.
She was here to support Chloe, after all.
"Not at all, but could you do me a
favor and hit the restroom?" Jameel
replied, his request seemingly out of
"Why on earth would I do that?"

"Because I want to have a private chat with Chloe without you eavesdropping."
Candy was taken aback. "Seriously, James? You're so blunt!"
Chloe had already figured out what they were about to discuss. From
the moment they walked in, their expressions had given it all away.
"Candy already knows. No need to hide it from her," Chloe said.
James and Michael exchanged glances and put down their controllers.Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
They hadn't really been interested in gaming; they were just passing the time until Candy left.
Now that she was staying, they felt a bit foolish for pretending.
"Chloe, we found William's brother today," Michael announced, his tone serious.
The moment those words left his mouth, both Candy and Chloe were all ears, their attention fully captured.
Mentioning William's brother drained the color from Chloe's face, her anxiety palpable.
