Chapter 363 Three-Way Confrontation
Chloe looked at the face in front of her. The more she looked at it, the more familiar it became.
She felt as if she had seen him somewhere before.
After thinking for a long time, she suddenly thought of something. "It's you!"
Wesley looked at her and smiled, "Ms. Nelson, your umbrella is still in my car."
Chloe thought, "He's the guy injured in the last car accident with a Patek Philippe watch!"
Richard, not realizing they had met before, was a little puzzled and said, "Did you know Ms. Nelson?"
"We met once. Ms. Nelson did me a favor."
That day, the rain had gotten heavier and heavier. He indeed needed an umbrella to keep from getting drenched.
James didn't expect Chloe to know Wesley either.
His eyes were filled with other emotions.
He thought, "Chloe must be hiding a lot of secrets!"
Michael stood on the lawn and kept drinking champagne.
He was keeping his eyes on the direction Chloe had just disappeared in.
The air pressure all around him was several degrees lower than elsewhere.
It wasn't until he saw Chloe, James, and Richard appear together that he slowly relaxed.
Michael put down the glass in his hand and walked toward her.
Seeing Richard, he politely said, "Hello, Mr. Jenkins."
"Mr. Shawn, it's such an honor to have you here today!"This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
"Mr. Jenkins, you're too polite."
Michael wrapped his arm quite naturally around Chloe's waist and pulled her away from James.
"I'm sure Mr. Jenkins has already met my wife. But I have to introduce her. This is my wife, Chloe."
Richard had been out of the country before and hadn't known about Michael's marriage.
He was surprised to hear that Chloe was his wife at this point.
"Ms. Nelson is a perfect match for Mr. Shawn."
Both of them were capable and looked stunning, and they did match up well.
Chloe's smile stiffened a bit.
But she tried to maintain it as best she could.
"Honey, you're done with your business, right? Can I have the rest of your time?"
Chloe smiled stiffly and said, "Of course!"
They were about to leave when Wesley stopped Chloe. "Ms. Nelson, may I ask if you know the daughter of the Parker family?"
Chloe thought, "The Parker family? Candy?"
"Mr. Wesley Jenkins, did you mean Candy?"
Wesley nodded.
"She's my good friend, but she doesn't seem to be here today."
Chloe realized at this point that Candy wasn't here. She felt a little strange.
"Mr. Wesley Jenkins, what do you want with Candy?"
Chloe was a little puzzled and thought, "Why didn't I know Candy knew anyone from the Jenkins family?"
Wesley chuckled, "It's okay. I was just casually asking. Ms. Nelson, go about your business."
Chloe turned to follow Michael away.
The official start time for the press conference was at seven o'clock in the evening.
It was about three hours from now.
Chloe followed Michael's lead, trying to find a place to sit down and rest.
"What did you just talk about when James took you to see Richard?"
Chloe rubbed her calves. Her heels were a little uncomfortable today. Her calves hurt after walking for a while.
"Nothing, just getting to know each other."
She didn't tell him that she was going to be a spokesperson. After all, they were getting a divorce. She didn't need to say it.
Michael was about to say something else when he saw Lucy appear on the lawn as well, holding Owen's hand.
Lucy seemed like she was searching for something. When she saw Michael, she immediately smiled.
She pulled Owen along with her.
And on the other side, Asher came over with champagne.
This three-way confrontation actually made Chloe feel like she was watching a big show.
If you were to ask her what she felt, it would be...
A triangle had stability.
