Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

“Do you all think I’m incapable of finding myself a mate?” Nelly snarled, her eyes flashing with defiance as she noticed they nosily gazing at her.

“No way! While there’s no shame in being single, you should give it a shot if you encounter a suitable male! I’m not getting any younger, so it would benefit you to have someone who can protect and provide for you,” Alpha Wade growled.

“But I prefer having your company, Grandpa!” Nelly protested, her voice laced with the savage echo of a beast, as she continued tearing into her prey. She adamantly refused to acknowledge the inevitable day when Alpha Wade would no longer be by her side.

Knowing her fear of separation all too well, Alpha Wade wisely chose not to dwell on the subject for too long. “I understand, but I would prefer for you to have one more being to keep you company.”

Nelly comprehended his hidden meaning completely. “Don’t worry, Grandpa. If the opportunity presents itself, I will seize it.”

Although she didn’t reveal the truth about her relationship with Alpha Zachary Lucas, Alpha Wade felt reassured by her promise. He feared his own mistakes would crush Nelly’s hope of finding a lifelong mate. As he knew he wouldn’t be around forever, he yearned for someone who could watch over her in his absence.

“Now, now… Cease being so nosy, you three! I’ll inform you if anything significant happens, understood?” Nelly snapped.

“Okay!” Donna exclaimed, her lupine eyes narrowing in determination. “Fine! If Mommy won’t disclose the truth, I’ll interrogate Mr. Alpha Zachary Lucas tomorrow!”

The following day, Nelly had scarcely arrived in the Programming Department when Ross bellowed, “Let’s go. We have a meeting.”

A meeting? This early in the moonlight?

Nelly felt a flicker of confusion, but she quickly dismissed it from her mind and followed Ross with a pen and notebook in hand.

Her brows furrowed as she caught sight of Alpha Kilian perched at the head of the conference room the moment she entered.

After everyone settled into their seats, Nelson glanced at Chris and growled, “Alpha Morris has given you this opportunity, Chris. Present your ideas to the pack.”

Aware of Alpha Kilian’s ulterior motives, Chris chose not to raise his hopes as he showcased his revamped project.

The pack members frowned, puzzled by the stark differences from the previous version, but Nelly remained unfazed. She had anticipated this maneuver from Alpha Kilian.

“If I’m not mistaken, this looks significantly distinct from your previous work,” Alpha Kilian remarked in a calculating tone.

“You are correct. I negligently overlooked certain details before, so I included them to enhance its completion,” Chris replied confidently.

Chris had indeed made alterations to his project after hearing Nelly’s input. Though he never anticipated presenting it again, he understood that, as a skilled programmer, it was vital to ensure the project’s success.

Alpha Kilian nodded, his piercing gaze shifting toward Nelson as he declared, “Very well. We shall proceed with this version. Prepare to sign the contract.”

The rest of the pack involved in the project were dumbfounded, but Nelly maintained her poker face as she observed it all.

She had prepared herself for any trickery Alpha Kilian might attempt.

I don’t know if Alpha Kilian is merely striving to make things difficult or if he’s doing it for Nelly, but I’m relieved it worked out in our favor!

Taking a moment to regain his composure, Nelson swiftly arranged for the contract signing.

“By the way, I have another proposition,” Alpha Kilian suddenly interjected.

The manager regarded him warily. “Please, go on, Alpha Morris.”

“We could establish a long-term strategic alliance. Your company will oversee our future projects,” Alpha Kilian suggested, a hint of power resonating in his voice.

The manager nearly froze in shock at the notion. Collaborating with a powerful entity like Morris Corporation was an extraordinary opportunity few could ever dream of, let alone forging a lasting partnership.

“What? You don’t like the idea?” Alpha Kilian queried, his voice laced with authority.

“Of course not! It would be a great honor to work with you, Alpha Morris!” Nelson exclaimed, tears of joy shimmering in his eyes.

“In that case, let us proceed with signing all the contracts at once,” Alpha Kilian replied calmly.

“Absolutely! I’ll have everything prepared immediately! It’ll only take a minute, Alpha Morris!” Nelson called out, hurrying off to complete the task.Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.

“Take your time,” Alpha Kilian retorted with composure, his gaze lingering on Nelly.

Nelson cared little for anything else as he scurried to finalize the contracts.

It’s evident he’s only interested in seeing her! He truly will do anything for the girl he desires…

With that in mind, Nelson uttered, “Very well. Just inform us when you wish to arrange the meeting, Alpha Morris.”

The entire group returned to their tasks thereafter.

As Nelly was merely present to occupy an empty seat, the contract signing held no direct impact on her.

Yet, it was clear that Alpha Kilian orchestrated this arrangement for her sake.

Exiting the conference room, Nelly headed toward the restroom when Alpha Kilian pursued her, pressing her against the wall with a primal intensity.

“Is there something specific you require, Alpha Morris?” Nelly inquired nonchalantly, leaning against the wall. She had no qualms about his advances, for his handsome countenance held its own allure.

“Aren’t you going to comment on today’s events?” Alpha Kilian probed, his voice laden with desire.

“You are undeniably a wealthy male, Alpha Morris!” Nelly replied, flashing a sarcastic smile.

Alpha Kilian locked his gaze with hers, his eyes delving into her very being as he uttered, “Entering a long-term strategic alliance means you will be the one to liaise with me from now on.”

Nelly peered back, a challenging glimmer gleaming in her eyes as she answered, “We shall see if our paths align, Alpha Morris.”
