Nelly looked at the screen with a grave expression and bated breath, her wolfish instincts on high alert. The mysterious symbol etched into her mind, a mark of an organization that struck fear into the hearts of all who crossed their path. She turned to Sam, her fellow lycanthrope, seeking answers.

“I’ve seen that tattoo’s design once when I was on a mission in Zaewora a few years back,” Sam answered, his voice tinged with trepidation. “It should be a symbol representing an organization. That organization is very mysterious. I don’t know what exactly they do, but I heard from the locals that members of that organization killed others without mercy. Everywhere they stepped foot, lives were lost. They don’t treat human life as an equal. Most importantly, they seem to receive protection from the local government. So, they are not rogues they are like us.”

Nelly narrowed her eyes at his reply, her lupine gaze piercing through the darkness. The pieces of the puzzle started to fit together in her mind, casting a shadow of doubt and grief. Zaewora? Mysterious organization? Not rogues!! If that design is the symbol of an organization, then was Father part of it?

Seeing no reply from Shadow Seeker, Sam continued, his voice laden with caution. “I don’t know why you’re asking about it, but I’m warning you to be careful about poking your nose where it shouldn’t be. If I’m not mistaken, a lot of organizations had conflicts with them over the years and didn’t end up well, let alone you. Even if you have exceptional ability, you’re fighting against an organization alone. You won’t have a chance at winning.”

Shadow Seeker’s heart grew heavy, the weight of the truth sinking in. “Darknetz never had any conflict with them?” she asked, her voice filled with a mix of desperation and determination.

“They’re involved in something different than us. What they’re doing is endangering nations. What we’re doing is for money. We’re not as crazy and heartless as they are, so we haven’t interacted with each other yet,” Sam explained, his words carrying the weight of the world.

But Shadow Seeker knew deep down that their paths would eventually cross. “Sure, you guys are fine now since you don’t have any conflict of interest with them, but that doesn’t mean you would stay out of each other’s ways forever,” she stated firmly, her words serving as both a warning and a plea for understanding.

“That’s why we’re strengthening ourselves. It’s not a definite loss on our side at the moment, but you’re on your own… It’s dangerous,” Sam warned, his voice laced with concern.

Thanking him for his suggestion, Shadow Seeker pressed on. “Do you still have any other information?” she asked, her resolve unyielding.

“That’s all I have. If you want to know more, I can help you ask around,” Sam offered, his loyalty shining through.

“I’ll wait for your news then,” Shadow Seeker replied, her determination unwavering.

With that, Sam went offline, leaving Nelly immersed in her thoughts as she stared at the computer screen. The gravity of the situation weighed heavily upon her shoulders. The truth was out there, waiting to be unraveled. What was Father’s relationship with that mysterious organization? Was he truly part of their cruel acts? The questions burned in her mind, and she vowed to find the answers, no matter the cost.

Lost in her contemplation, Nelly was interrupted by the arrival of Ross, another member of their pack. His nonchalant demeanor contrasted with her somber mood, causing her wolf instincts to bristle.

He leaned over to look at her computer screen, his casual demeanor masking his curiosity. “What are you doing, Ms. Wealthy? You have a serious look on your face right now. Are you secretly talking to your boyfriend during work?” he teased, unaware of the storm brewing within her.

Swiftly closing the webpage, Nelly lifted her gaze to meet his, maintaining an air of calmness. “It’s nothing,” she replied curtly, determined to keep her secrets hidden.

Ross curled his lips in amusement. “It’s okay. Nobody is going to say anything even if you’re secretly talking to Alpha Morris,” he quipped, alluding to their company’s powerful client. “We still need you to maintain a good relationship with him.”

Ignoring his words, Nelly stared at him, her eyes reflecting a silent challenge. “Can I help you?” she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of aggression.

Undeterred, Ross inched closer, his intentions unclear. “I do have a tiny matter I need to ask you about,” he began, his voice lowering conspiratorially. Nelly remained stoic, waiting for him to pose his question.

“I saw your daughter update her Instagram yesterday. It’s a photo of her with Sharon. Do they know each other?” Ross asked, his curiosity piqued.

“Something like that,” Nelly replied cryptically, her words laced with knowledge. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

Tongue-tied and nervous, Ross struggled to voice his request. “T-Then can you help me get an… autograph?” he stammered, the words barely escaping his lips.

Nelly furrowed her brow, her confusion evident. “What did you say?” she questioned, her fierce gaze demanding clarity.

Ross, desperate to be understood, repeated himself. “I said, can you help me… ask for an autograph?” he managed to say, his voice more assured this time.

Nelly’s disbelief was palpable, her disbelief evident. “You’re a fan of Sharon?” she questioned, unable to wrap her mind around the notion.

Without hesitation, Ross exclaimed, “She’s my goddess! I’ve been her fanboy for so many years!” Silence hung in the air as Nelly processed this unexpected revelation.

Finally finding her voice, she offered a solution. “Since you have Donna’s number, you can ask her. I’m sure she’ll be more than willing to help,” she suggested, her words laced with a hint of amusement.

Taking a moment to consider her proposal, Ross nodded, realizing the logic behind it. The world of fanboy admiration suddenly mingled with the darkness of their current situation, providing a brief respite from the weight of their reality.
