Fabian’s cries reverberated through the hospital, filling the sterile halls with his despair. The female doctor, with a look of disdain on her face, held a cotton swab and listened to his hysterical yells. “Never have I witnessed a man so dramatic,” she murmured under her breath.
“Are you quite finished with all the noise?” she asked calmly, her voice laced with impatience.
“It hurts!” Fabian protested, his voice drenched in agony.
A smirk played on the doctor’s lips as she replied, “I haven’t even touched you yet.”
Confused, Fabian glanced at the doctor’s hand, which was oddly far away from him. “Um… I’m scared it’ll hurt,” he muttered, feeling both embarrassed and honest.
Just then, Alpha Kilian, the Alpha of the pack, entered the doctor’s office. He shot a disapproving look at Fabian’s dramatic display.
The doctor cast a disdainful glance at Fabian as she began to dress his wound. Before Fabian could even let out a sound, Alpha Kilian stepped forward and covered his mouth, silencing him. “Mmph, mmph!” Fabian muffled, as Alpha Kilian spoke to the doctor. “Please continue.”
Without another word, the doctor sterilized the wound, applied medication, and skillfully bandaged Fabian’s injury. A few minutes later, she completed her task, seemingly unaffected by Fabian’s pitiful expression. How could they do this to him?
The doctor turned her attention to the computer screen, ignoring Fabian’s presence. “What caused this wound?” she inquired, her tone dismissive.
“An alloy object,” Alpha Kilian responded calmly, his voice unwavering.
The doctor glanced at Fabian, who nodded eagerly in agreement. She then typed a few keys on the keyboard. “The wound appears to be fine. You should receive a tetanus shot and change the dressing regularly. Keep it dry,” she instructed.
Shock washed over Fabian as his eyes widened. “I need a shot?” he exclaimed, his voice filled with panic.
“Do you have an issue with that?” the doctor asked, her demeanor unyielding.
Before Fabian could respond, Alpha Kilian intervened, “No, it’s not a problem at all. You can find the injection room on your right.”
Fabian opened his mouth to protest, but Alpha Kilian grabbed him and swiftly guided him out of the doctor’s office before he could utter a word. The corridor swallowed Fabian as he wore a sorrowful expression. “Alpha Kilian, can’t you be gentler with me?” he pleaded, his voice desperate.
“Gentler?” Alpha Kilian raised an eyebrow, a silent question hanging in the air. Fabian knew his request was unreasonable.
He added, defeat evident in his words, “Never mind about being gentle. Alpha Kilian, I won’t be taking the shot. I’m fine, there’s no need to waste resources on me.”
“If you’re truly fine, then why did you cry out back there?” Fabian found himself at a loss for words, unable to come up with a proper response.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
Ignoring his protests, Alpha Kilian walked away, leaving Fabian alone in his predicament.
Outside the injection room, Fabian watched in apprehension as a child received their shot and wailed in pain. A nervous gulp slipped past Fabian’s lips. He absolutely despised getting shots.
As it finally became his turn, fear consumed him. He longed to faint at the sight of the long, slender needle piercing his skin. “Next!” the nurse called out, signaling that it was his turn.
His heart raced in terror as he felt his feet glued to the floor, unable to summon the courage to step into the injection room. Panic surged within him as a child emerged from the room, tears streaming down their face.
Desperately, he turned to Alpha Kilian, ready to voice his objections. However, the Alpha’s stern gaze silenced him, leaving him with no choice but to proceed.
With trembling steps, Fabian entered the injection room. Yet, at the sight of the nurse’s startled yell and the words “Are you all right? Hey, wake up!” panic overtook him. “What happened?” he heard someone ask.
“I don’t know. I hadn’t even administered the shot yet,” came the response. “Perhaps he’s afraid of injections.”
Intrigued by the commotion, Alpha Kilian entered the room, only to discover Fabian slumped unconscious in the chair.
