In the midst of the intense battle, the outcome remained uncertain, with no clear winner emerging. Sam anxiously watched as Tony continued to defy expectations, exceeding even the legendary Shadow Seeker’s record. No one had ever survived against Shadow Seeker for more than five minutes, yet Tony was on the verge of achieving that feat.

“Stay focused, Tony!” Sam shouted, his voice filled with a mix of nervousness and excitement. “If you defeat Shadow Seeker, you’ll be hailed as the world’s greatest hacker!” Tony, however, brushed off Sam’s words, his mind solely focused on the battle at hand. “Quiet!” he snapped, his determination shining through.

Both Tony and Nelly were lightning-fast in their attacks. They skillfully defended themselves while launching powerful offensives against each other. However, as Nelly looked into Tony’s eyes, she could sense a shift in her admiration for him. She realized that he was no lesser opponent in terms of speed and skill. In fact, his abilities mirrored her own to an uncanny degree.

It felt as if there was a duplicate of herself in this world.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

Suddenly, Nelly’s movements halted, her gaze fixated on the screen. A serious expression crossed her face. It was at that moment when Tony seized the opportunity, launching a sudden attack. Simultaneously, Nelly discovered a weakness in his defense and infiltrated his computer.

But as she saw her opponent’s IP address, her eyebrows furrowed. It was not what she had expected. However, a thought began to take hold in her mind.

With determination fueling her, Nelly rose from her seat and left her room. Standing in front of Tony’s door, she hesitated for a moment. Yet, she couldn’t resist the possibility that had entered her mind. Pushing aside her doubts, she entered his room.

Tony, in the midst of shutting down his computer, was taken aback when he saw Nelly walking in. He quickly composed himself and flashed a smile. “Why are you still awake, Nelly? It’s late.”

A curious look danced in Nelly’s eyes as she locked her gaze with him. “Yes, I’m still awake.”

“What’s the matter, then?” Tony asked innocently.

There was a momentary silence as Nelly pondered her next move. Finally, she made her decision and stepped further into the room. “My computer is broken, so I need to use yours for a moment.”

Tony was left speechless.

If it were anyone else, they wouldn’t uncover anything significant upon turning on the computer. But Nelly was different. When it came to computers, nothing could escape her. Witnessing her about to power on the device, he uttered, “I was mistaken, Nelly!” Nelly glanced at Tony, her eyes filled with curiosity. “What did you do wrong?”

He hesitated for a moment before speaking through pursed lips. “I… I was the one you were fighting earlier.”

A question abruptly escaped Nelly’s mouth, catching Tony off guard. He raised his gaze to meet hers, realizing he couldn’t hide the truth. The air grew heavy with silence before he nodded. “Yes, it was me…”

Speechless, Nelly stared at her son, a mix of emotions crossing her face. “When did this happen?” she finally managed to ask.

“It was two years ago. Sam recruited me-”

“That’s not what I meant,” she interrupted, her voice firm. “I want to know how you acquired these skills.”

She knew Tony was intelligent, but he was still just a child. Watching them battle earlier, she could sense his abilities were on par with her own. He’s only a kid, yet he’s so capable! It’s hard to imagine how skilled he’ll be when he grows up.

Surprise filled Nelly’s eyes as she gazed at Tony.

And then he explained, “Back when we were living overseas, I saw you hacking a few times, and I remembered how to do it…”

Her eyebrows furrowed. Indeed, there were a few instances when she had hacked into systems to search for information about her father during their time abroad.

“But you were just a little kid back then…” she uttered, her voice filled with disbelief.

“When I saw those numbers and codes flashing before my eyes, it was as if they were etched into my mind. I don’t know how I remembered them…” Tony spoke, his innocence shining through.

Nelly was left speechless. No wonder there was a shadow of herself in his hacking techniques. So this is the reason. When I discovered my own hacking skills, I was already a teenager. Have our family’s genes become so potent that he has reached my level as a child?

Though astonished, Nelly quickly accepted the reality before her.

Whether it was due to natural talent or genetics, it didn’t matter. After all, she had always been able to embrace new truths and adapt to them effortlessly. Extraordinary events happening within her family had become commonplace. Taking a deep breath, Nelly looked at Tony and said, “Who else knows about this?” Tony thought for a moment before responding, “Ben and Donna! And also Thalia!”
