Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

Even though Alpha Kilian didn’t want to interfere with their gang’s business, his wolfish gaze narrowed when he saw the necklace drop to the ground. He crouched down and picked it up, turning to the man on the floor. “Where did this come from?”

Blood dribbled from the man’s mouth as he scowled at Alpha Kilian. Eugene sensed something amiss and kicked the man’s body. “Alpha Morris wants an answer! Speak up!”

The man hurriedly spoke after receiving the blow. “The kid gave it to me. I lent him my phone ’cause the necklace looked valuable.”

Eugene’s anger pulsed through his temples. “We lost so much for something so small! You dimwit! Why did I ever take on such an idiot like you?” He continued to kick the man.

Begging for mercy, the man pleaded, “I didn’t know this was gonna happen! I’m sorry!”

“But it’s too late now. You know how important those goods are to the boss. We’ll see how he deals with you,” Eugene replied.

Fear widened the man’s eyes. “If the boss finds out, I’m as good as dead.”

Alpha Kilian watched the scene unfold with a smile. “You’re an impartial one, Alpha Yolk.”

Eugene looked at him. “We misjudged you before, Alpha Morris. I hope you’ll help us figure this out. I’ll remember your kindness and be at your service if you ever need me.” Alpha Kilian glanced at the necklace in his hand.

“I’m not one to shy away, Alpha Yolk. I’ll remember your promise,” Alpha Kilian replied.

“Thank you in advance, Alpha Morris,” Eugene said. Alpha Kilian pocketed the necklace and left.

Fabian had been waiting outside and hurried over when he saw Alpha Kilian emerge. “The guys were about to charge in if you didn’t show up, Alpha Morris.” He checked Alpha Kilian’s condition and breathed a sigh of relief to see him unharmed.

He asked, “What’s going on, Alpha Morris? How did the goods vanish? Could they have orchestrated this to avoid owing us a favor?”

“No, there’s no need for them to do that. They know the consequences of crossing me and they still depend on us to move the goods,” Alpha Kilian replied.

Fabian nodded. “That makes sense. But who could it be? Stealing the goods would anger both sides. Only someone daring would take such a risk.”

Alpha Kilian’s eyes narrowed, and he muttered, “Yeah, who could be so bold?”

Maybe they didn’t fear him, which is why they dared to do something like this.

Alpha Kilian tried not to overthink, but the evidence he found was too coincidental to ignore.

Febien noticed Alpha Kilian lost in thoughts and spoke up. “What’s troubling you, Alpha Morris?”

Alpha Kilian collected himself. After a moment of hesitation, he asked, “Have you checked the surveillance footage near the dock?”

“I sent someone to investigate as soon as you went in, but they found nothing. It looks like everything has been deleted,” Fabian said.

“Nothing at all?”

“I checked all possible angles. Even looked two hours before the incident, but there’s nothing. The other party must have a computer expert,” Fabian concluded.

A computer expert. Could it be… No! Impossible! She wouldn’t stoop that low.

Alpha Kilian’s eyes narrowed, tension filling his expression. After a long pause, a meaningful smile spread across his face, leaving Fabian puzzled.

“Why you smile, Alpha Morris?”

Alpha Kilian glanced at him. “Nothing important, just find this thing very interesting.” Eugene nodded. “If you say so, Alpha Morris.”

Without saying another word, Alpha Kilian put the necklace in his pocket and left. Fabian was waiting outside. He quickly approached when he saw Alpha Kilian.

“If you did not come out, the boys were going in, Alpha Morris,” Fabian said. As he spoke, he looked Alpha Kilian up and down and sighed with relief when he saw he was okay.

“What happened, Alpha Morris? How did the items disappear? Did they do it themselves because they did not accept the favor?” Fabian asked.

Alpha Kilian replied, “No, they do not need to do that. They know the consequences of offending me and would not take the risk. They need our help to move the items, so they would not steal them.”

Fabian agreed, “That’s true. So who could it be? Stealing the items would offend both parties. Who could be so bold?”

Alpha Kilian narrowed his eyes and muttered to himself, “That’s a good question. Who could be so bold?”

Maybe they don’t fear me at all, so they did something like that.

Although he tried not to think too much, the evidence he found made him feel like it was more than a coincidence.

Fabian watched Alpha Kilian. Even though he did not say anything, Fabian sensed something wrong.

“What’s wrong, Alpha Morris?” Fabian asked.All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

After a few seconds of hesitation, Alpha Kilian asked, “Have you looked at the surveillance footage near the dock?”

“I had someone check it as soon as you went in. But they found nothing. Maybe someone deleted it.” Fabian explained.

“Nothing at all?”

“I checked all possible routes, even two hours before the incident. I found nothing. The other party must have a computer expert,” Fabian said.

Computer expert. Could it be…No! Impossible! She would not do that kind of thing.

Alpha Kilian’s expression became tense, but then a meaningful smile spread across his face, which puzzled Fabian.

“Why are you smiling, Alpha Morris?” Fabian asked.

Alpha Kilian glanced at him and said, “It’s nothing. I find this incident very interesting.”

Fabian did not understand why this was interesting. He kept thinking about the lost items and said, “There’s another way, Alpha Morris.”

“What way?” Alpha Kilian asked.

Fabian suggested, “Can’t we restore the surveillance footage? Isn’t Mrs. Morris a computer expert? Maybe she can help.”

Alpha Kilian narrowed his eyes and thought for a moment. “That’s a good idea.”

The most important thing is that it may alert the thief. Who knows? We might even discover something.

Fabian felt encouraged. “The most important thing is that you can build a relationship with Mrs. Morris. That’s how everyone builds a relationship, right? After spending more time together, the two of you could become inseparable. It’s two birds with one stone!”

Alpha Kilian looked at Fabian and said, “Why aren’t you this clever when we’re working, Fabian?”

Fabian replied with flattery, “Because we have you at work, Boss!”

Alpha Kilian raised an eyebrow, and Fabian could not tell if his flattery was working or not. “Would you consider taking another position, Fabian?”

Fabian was excited but hid it. “I don’t want a promotion, Alpha Morris. I want to be by your side and help you. If you think I’m clever, there are other ways to show your appreciation, like giving me a raise or double my year-end bonus. It’s all good!”

“Are you finished?” Alpha Kilian asked.

Fabian nodded, and Alpha Kilian said, “I never said you were getting promoted.”

“You did?” Fabian was confused.

“No, I was thinking that the Public Relations Department would be better for you. It would be a waste of talent if you did not go there.” Alpha Kilian got into the car without another word.

Fabian was shocked but quickly got into the car. “Sorry, Alpha Morris.”
