Chapter 22: Another Date

“What do you mean by I still hate you? I don’t hate you and I never did.” she said to Andre, defending herself.Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Maybe it was just my imagination, but you never gave me the opportunity go stand close to you.”

“What do you mean? You stand close to me every day.”

“But that is only when we are on duty.”

Tapping her head, she walked into the kitchen.

After setting up some items, she then remembered that she wasn’t the only ones in the house.

Coming out of the kitchen, she walked into the sitting room and towards where Andre was seated.

“What will you like to eat?” she asked him.

“Anything you can make.”

“Andre, I can make anything, just tell me and stop being dramatic.” she said to him.

Andre smirked.

“I meant to say, I have pretty good taste. If I am allowed to ask, I may request for something you probably do not have in your kitchen.”

Anita became dumbfounded.

What the hell does he mean?

“If you are that great, why are you working in Sass Media House? You should be somewhere more unique so as to stand out. In those high media homes, you can unleash your skills which will no doubt earn you bigger amount of money so that you can eat all the foods of high taste.” Anita blasted him and walked into the kitchen.

“You don’t have to say it that way, because situations do change.” he then said as he raised his voice so she could hear him.

“Situations don’t change until you make a move.” she replied from the kitchen.

Where they were, they ended up smiling.

Anita then prepared a larger amount of food and had them served on the dinning table.

“Why don’t we go for shopping?” Kate’s voice was heard.

In thirty minutes, they were already done with eating when Kate brought up the idea of them going out to shop together.

In actual fact, she preferred Andre to Thomas.

What she could not understand was why Anita hated him at first. Anyways, that was not her problem anymore. The fact that he could actually stepped feet in their house already showed that nothing was impossible.

She just hoped that Anita would be smart enough to see everything that was going on.

Anita wasn’t having it after Kate came up with her idea.

She didn’t want that to happen. Even though she no longer resent him, she just hoped they kept their distance.

To be frank with herself, she never really saw a reason to hate him so much, she just hoped that everything that concerns her life would work according to God’s plan and how she wanted in a very positive way.

She then thought about what Kate said. Why was she feeling like Kate wanted something to go on between her and Andre?

But how was that possible? She already had something with Thomas, plus how would Thomas feel hearing or seeing that she would be having an affair with Andre who was her co-worker? She did not think it was fair to so considering the fact that it would not be supported be Sass Media House due to their strict rules. She was not willing to risk her job. Not for him or anything else around her.

“Anita, are you even hearing me?” Kate asked, snapping her fingers. She had been watching Anita. Anita looked like she was already lost.

“Yes of course, I can hear you.” Anita replied as she stood up to leave, but was held back by Andre.

“Anita wait! Umm actually, Kate has a good idea. You have been sad for the past few days. Now that you are relieved a bit, why don’t we go out and have fun.”

“Huh?” Anita said.

“When I say fun, I meant, let’s go for shopping like your friend suggested. It makes sense.” Andre said to her.

“Please Anita, please!” Kate said, trying to make her friend accept the innocent offer.

“In that case, we will go. I will get ready, but who is the bill going to be on?” she accepted as she jokingly asked.

“Him!” without hesitation, Kate pointed towards Andre.

Anita was stunned at the sudden reaction.

“Why will you say that? If he is to pay for the both of our bills, who is going to pay his?” Anita defended Andre quickly.

Kate froze at the sudden defense.

“Why are you defending him all of a sudden? This is so interesting!” Kate said and started jumping in excitement. She then left them to prepare.

“Andre, I really don’t think we should do this.” she then told him. How much things were they going to get and how many?

Andre understood her concerns perfectly so he was calm enough to let her express herself before replying.

“I will handle it, don’t bother!” he told her and walked towards the sitting room to wait for them to get prepared.

Anita breathed in an out and then went to prepare.

Inside the room, both ladies looked at each other sneakily.

They had things to say but didn’t know where they should start from in talking.

“What if Thomas finds out that I am going out with another man.” Anita managed to be the first person to speak up.

“Who would tell him, besides, we will be three. And, you aren’t doing anything wrong, you are only going on an outing which he, Thomas finds hard to do on a weekend. Don’t even get me started.” Kate replied as she stood up to adjust Anita’s long hair.

“You have no idea Kate. The last time Thomas saw him here, it almost ended badly.” Anita said as she started telling Kate everything that played out the first time Thomas met Andre in her house.

“But nothing later happened. You see, he is strong. Come on now, we got this! Come, let’s go have fun!” Kate said aloud as she dragged Anita away from the room.
