Chapter 1451 The Right Bet
Chapter 1451 The Right Bet
Lilly had completely exhausted her spirit energy, and she knew that even if she used up her own blood
essence, she would not stand a chance against the Black Dragon.
"Come at me, and I'll poke your eyes out!"
In her desperation, Lilly took out the pen of judgment and shouted at the Black Dragon.
It was an impulsive remark that came to her mind without thinking.
For some reason, the Black Dragon suddenly froze in its tracks!
In an instant, its eyes turned red!
Lilly silently cursed in her mind. Why did it look even more excited now?
She took advantage of its momentary pause and quickly gathered the spirit energy from her elixir field
and teleported again, appearing five hundred miles away.
"Squeak!" The small ghost beast's fur stood on end.
'It's catching up!'
Exhausted, Lilly suddenly remembered something and anxiously asked, "What about Matthan's hair?"
"Huh?" Speedy was confused.
Although she did not know what Lilly had in mind, she still took out the strands of hair.
Just as the Black Dragon opened its bloody mouth to devour her, Lilly closed her eyes and raised
Matthan's strands of hair!
The small ghost beast had already been frightened stiff, but the image of the Four Mythical Creatures
shone from behind it, occupying half the sky as if they were ready to perish together with the Black
Dragon.
Speedy also seemed ready to give up, prepared to face death.
One second passed, then two seconds...
Lilly opened one eye and saw that the Black Dragon had stopped, staring at her with a fierce gaze.
It worked?
It actually worked!
"What's going on?" Speedy's mind was currently experiencing a system crash.
The Black Dragon was still in front of her, so Lilly remained silent.
However, she recalled a few important facts. One, Emperor Greenbow was the guardian of the Nether,
and only he could open the Nether Door.
He had a private agreement with Emperor Eastmount to give her a back door entrance.
At that back door entrance, there was a giant dragon skeleton coiled around the gate.
Those three facts led her to speculate that the "dragons" were spirit beasts that Emperor Greenbow
had tamed or contracted to guard the back door. They must recognize Emperor Greenbow and the
back door that Emperor Eastmount and Emperor Greenbow had opened for her. Perhaps they knew
Emperor Eastmount as well.
It was just a random guess, but she had made the right bet.
"Do you recognize them? Since you do, then let me pass." Lilly tightly held onto Matthan's strands of
hair.
The Black Dragon stared coldly at her with its bloodshot eyes. Although it had stopped attacking, it
remained vigilant and had no intention of letting her pass.
"It's fine if you don't let me pass," Lilly said, pressing a hand over the bleeding wound on her arm. "You
just have to promise not to attack me again."
The Black Dragon sneered, and a buzzing sound filled the air. "Not kill you? Let's see if you're really
qualified…"
Lilly was shocked. "Wow, you can actually talk! Why didn't you say anything earlier? Can't we talk
peacefully?"
The Black Dragon remained silent.
Then, with a roar, it snapped at her and swiftly carried her away as if it were holding a precious gem in
its mouth.
Lilly was looking at a familiar sight. She looked down to find the area covered by swarms of crickets.
Great. She had wasted so much effort only to end up back where she started!
The Black Dragon wouldn't leave her here, right?
Lilly quickly held onto the Black Dragon's "fangs."
The Black Dragon let out a roar and ascended a tall cliff.
It was a very tall cliff and ended abruptly to become a stronghold guarded by the Black Dragon.
The bugs were afraid of the Black Dragon. While they surrounded the base of the cliff, they dared not
approach.
In the darkness, a black figure stared up at Lilly, who was on the top of the cliff, and quickly left in
frustration.
Lilly looked away and frowned. "Who was that person?"
The Black Dragon snorted, causing Lilly's world to shake. Còntens bel0ngs to Nô(v)elDr/a/ma.Org
"You are unworthy of speaking to me in that way!" it said.
"How did the hair of Emperor Eastmount end up in your hands?" It narrowed its eyes dangerously. "Did
you kill him, or did he give the hair to you?"
'It recognizes Emperor Eastmount after all,' she thought to herself.
That made things easier.
"Emperor Eastmount is my younger brother," Lilly said confidently. "He knew I was coming here, so he
pulled out a few strands of his hair and gave them to me!"
Speedy was puzzled.
Really?
The Black Dragon turned its head to look at Speedy. "Is that true?"
'It must be true!' Speedy replied.
The Black Dragon sneered. "Is that so? Don't think that I will spare you just because you know
Emperor Eastmount. No one can pass through here. In consideration of your acquaintance with
Emperor Eastmount, I won't kill you, but you must return to where you came from!"
With that said, the Black Dragon moved to throw her into the crack in the back door!
Lilly quickly held onto one of its whiskers. "Wait!"
Did it think she didn't want to go back? She was currently not strong enough to pass through this crack,
and she didn't have any defensive magical artifacts on her. Otherwise, she would have hurriedly
returned without waiting for the dragon to say anything.
The Black Dragon was caught off guard and became extremely annoyed.
In his eyes, she was extremely annoying, just like that woman from thousands of years ago!
That woman from thousands of years ago came to the Nether once, grabbed its dragon whiskers, and
said she wanted to ride it like a horse.
She also said she would poke its eyes out!
That woman also had the pen of judgment in her hand. Could it be possible that this little girl...
Could she be that woman's…
Child?
