Chapter 11: 11 - Happiness
Chapter 11: 11 - Happiness
Autumn's Point of View
“Autumn!” A voice of a girl shouted, she looked like me, but we had a bit of differences.
I smiled at her and she hugged me.
“I missed you, Spring.” I said happily.
“I missed you too, sister.” She then pulled me towards a house that felt familiar, but didn't look familiar.
You get what I mean?
“Mom and Dad! She's back!” The girl named Spring, who is also currently pulling me, shouted. I looked
down once we got to where they are.
“Where did you go?” My mother asked.
“Somewhere.” I simply answered, but of course, they'd never buy it.
“Somewhere for a week?” My father asked with a brow raised.
I clenched my fists.
“Yeah, so what?” I answered, trying hard to not go berserk in front of them.
Mother rolled her eyes, “Let's get in. All she'd ever done was to make trouble anyway, I don't really care
where she'd gone to.”
With that, my father nodded and they walked inside the house without ever looking back at me.
Ever since, I always shouldered the mistakes of my sister. She mostly had faults and was prone to
making wrong decisions. I was always there to back her up and blame all the wrong things she'd done
to myself.
She's fragile, she doesn't know how to defend herself, she's a princess and as for me.... I'm a sister
who never really had a chance to do something for myself, add the fact that she doesn't even defend
me.
I broke away from my sister's grasp which made her look at me with confusion, “What? What's wrong?”
“Nothing. I just thought that you'd somehow defend me to our own parents, but nevermind, you can't do
it.”
She's the favourite child, she's the one they praise, all because I don't excel much on the subjects that
they chose for us both to take.
Yep, like a college thingy in highschool. Only rich people could do.
I walked inside and headed upstairs, to our room, everything's so pretty and I'm the opposite.
Oh, did I mention that we're twins? Yeah, twins, but we still had features that are of course, not the
same. Oh, taste of style as well.
She ran after me and then hugged me once again, this time, I pushed her away which made her frown,
“What's wrong with you?”
“I'm dirty, you shouldn't hug me, I'd only ruin the look of what you're wearing right now.” I coldly told her.
She then made me face her, “But you were just hugging me earlier.”
I clicked my tongue at her and headed to our bathroom.
“I'm sorry,” She looked down, “for being the favourite child.”
I faced her with tears streaming down my cheeks, shocked at what she said.
“It's all because of the course that they gave us.” She explained, “I had the skills they liked, but they
never considered where and what type of thing that you're really suited for.”
I then smiled at her, “It's fine. I'm sorry for being rude to you, but I'm tired of this life.”
Then everything slowly faded and my vision turned black, feeling a pair of hands on my mine.
So it's all just a dream?
“Please wake up, the twins will miss their cosplayer nanny, you know?” A very familiar voice said.
I slowly opened my eyes and smiled when Jaxon, my boss came into view, “Cosplayer nanny? That's
funny.”
His face lit up and he immediately gave me a glass of water for my voice wasn't good it was rather
croaky.
“How are you feeling?” He asked smiling and as if he just realized that he was holding me, he
awkwardly let my hand go.
I then gave him a forced smile, “Fine.”
Right then, he frowned which made me have jumbled feelings inside.
“For now, don't treat me like your boss, it's fine.” He gently whispered and then a tear slowly slid down
my cheek as the memories of yesterday came flashing back.
“It's alright now, you're safe, you're safe.” He assured me which made me unconsciously hold his hand
and then I sobbed, trying my best to keep it down.
He then suddenly hugged me, his body heat is relaxing that I hugged him back.
Like he wanted to, I'ma treat him as a friend... even just for a little while.

After those crying sessions, I fell asleep after, it was like the sleep that I had was still not enough.
The dream was still the same, no cut outs, no difference, still me and the person named Spring.
I then woke up and the curtains are opened and the sun was shining on, Sir Jaxon's face this time. NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.
He looks...cute.
I lightly slapped my cheeks.
What the hell Autumn?
“Oh, you're awake.” My friend Lea whispered.
“You okay? This boss of yours had been sleeping for quite a while beside you.” She smirked and
wriggled her eyebrows.
“Shut up, Lea.” I rolled my eyes and clicked my tongue at her.
She chuckled and then did I only realized that behind her, is the twins.
“They're here?”
“Yeah, ever since yesterday. They didn't really leave the room, especially that man beside you, what's
his name?”
“Jaxon Parker.”
“Oh, the one with the hotel company thingy?”
“Yes.”
Again, she smirked, “Do you... um.. you know, ki—”
Before she could say anything more, I glared at her which made her shut her mouth.
“Are they the only one here? Then how about his house...” I thought of things deeply, the way the
woman that strangled me looked like, this and that.
“Oh, nah, Mr. Jaxon Parker had an assistant with him, someone a bit younger? But they seem to be
casual together.” Lea explained which made me collect my thoughts once again.
Oh right, maybe it was the one who...
The door suddenly opened and a very familiar face came into view. I blushed and looked away as Lea
tilted her head in confusion.
“Well, that's his assistant, Luke.” She then smiled and turned her attention to the twins.
Luke gave me a small smile as he placed the box of donuts and 3 hot coffees on the table, “Well, good
morning, miss Autumn.”
I smiled back and tried to stop myself from hiding under the sheets because of embarrassment.
Sir Jaxon then woke up and stared at me for like 30 seconds.
“Oh, you're alive.” He mumbled which I quickly caught and I rolled my eyes at him.
“Just kidding, chill.” He chuckled and stretched his arms upwards.
“You just woke up?” He asked.
“Yes, sir Jaxon.” I answered and for some reason, he looked like he didn't want me to call him that, but
I kept my mouth shut instead of pointing random things out.
To have a conversation, I cleared my throat, “Sir... Who was that woman?”
His features became hard, did I trigger a switch?
“My supposed to be wife and the mother of the two.” He coldly answered.
“I see... what's her name?” I asked, my heart pounding heavily.
“The Spring of a Devil.” Luke butted as he filled his mouth with donuts, not making Sir Jaxon to have a
chance to answer.
“Spring, Spring Saunders.” Sir Jaxon corrected chuckling.
“Sir—” Before I could speak, he raised a hand.
“Only Jaxon.” He then stood up and went to get his coffee on the table where Luke is currently eating.
For some reason, I blushed, calling my boss with only his first name without any honorifics?
Luke and Lea looked at each other for a split second and then they smiled at me with such
mischievous expressions, “Hey guys, I wanna get these two cuties more milk. Could you come with
me Luke? I don't really know my way throughout this part of the city.”
I rolled my eyes at them and Luke simply smiled as he ate the last share of his donut, “Shurr, my
fweasure.”
“Do you mean, 'sure, my pleasure?'” I corrected and he grinned at me, showing his mouth filled with
donuts.
Such a pig.
They then left us and the kids behind, but before the door could close, I saw them giving me a peace
and finger heart signs.
Such weirdos. How could they ship me and my boss? That's such an absurd idea!
“Autumn?” Jaxon, my boss, called me out.
I guess he noticed that I'm clenching my fists so hard.
I relaxed my hands and then sighed as I averted my gaze from my boss.
Those two are really a pain in the ass.
“Mr. Par—”
“What did I tell you?”
“But, sir, you're my boss, I can't possibly be casual with you...”
“Then I order you to speak casually with me whenever we are with friends that we can trust. Is that
cool? 'Cause it's pretty uncomfortable to be called as Sir and Mister when eyes aren't really on me.” He
explained, “Plus it makes me feel really old.”
“Fine,” I giggled and rolled my eyes in a playful manner, “Jaxon it is.”
He smiled and walked to my side, patting my head.
What the hell is he up to?
“Well, you're safe now. I won't let that woman come close to you again.” He said, looking outside the
window, his cheerful demeanor disappering, turning to something more cold as he moved away from
me.
Silence then came which made me uncomfortable, he sat on the sofa that's on my right and the twins
were at the sofa on the left, looking at me.
They're so cute! I wanna pinch them!
I planned to stand up and then carry them, but I remembered the dextrose on my hand.
I frowned, then an idea came into mind, since Mr. Parker who is also Sir Jaxon, wanted me to be
casual, I might just use this chance for a bit.
I cleared my throat which made him look up from the magazine that he's currently scanning.
“H-hey, Jaxon. Will you please bring Summer and Winter to me? I can't... you know— stand up.” I
sheepishly smiled.
His eyes lit up, probably from me calling him by his name without any honorifics, childish, but cute.
“Of course.” He smiled, letting the magazine fall onto the sofa as he stood up and took the kids to me.
“Look you two, cosplayer nanny wanted to play with you too.” He teased which made me giggle.
“Geez.” I said, responding to his silly words.
I took the two and hugged them, I closed my eyes and savored their warm and cute bodies that's
currently warming my body and heart up.
When I opened my eyes, Jaxon was still staring at me.
His ears instantly became a pinkish color.
I guess no one really hugs his children like this.
A few hours passed until the two people who are partners in crime came back. They had milk, snacks,
drinks and fruits.
A doctor came to check on me afterwards and I got his permission to eat food that isn't really from the
hospital.
We had like a family bonding thing, I'm actually shipping the crime masters now.
Lea x Luke!
My heart then warmed up, the twins on my lap, my boss casually talking to me, the schemers I never
knew that would be fun to be with, it was like we had known each other for so long.
“Autumn? You okay?” Jaxon asked, making me snap out of my thoughts.
“Yeah, I'm just happy that you're all here.” I smiled and Jaxon gave me back the same smile.
“Or is it because sir—” I glared at Lea which made her giggle, “Nevermind, tee-hee!”
“Are you an anime or something?” Luke then covered filled his mouth with cookies .
“Shut up, you pig.” Lea rolled her eyes.
“Mean!” Luke acted anime-ish this time which made us all laugh.
I'm so happy with them.
