Chapter 224
Chapter 224
Looking at how Alicia acted like a child, Frederick removed the bear from her hands and pulled her to his legs. Simultaneously, she grabbed a pillow and hugged it between her arms. Although they were physically close to each other, she could feel a gap between them!
Rubbing her fluffy hair, Frederick said, "Danica is a part of my past. I can't change that. But, she will not affect us now, nor will she affect our future!"
Frederick's words were actually giving Alicia a promise. Upon hearing his words, Alicia smiled. It was normal for women to be angry and jealous. Even so, as long as men are willing to comfort them, nine out of ten women could be coaxed for sure.
"I didn't know you were there. She insisted on going to visit Grandma. I was afraid that she might cause a conflict with Grandma if she spoke nonsense, therefore I had to go with her! You saw what happened too. But, it's already over now. Thus, don't worry about it, okay?"
Listening to how Danica talked about the past, Alicia can actually imagine how intimate Danica and Frederick were back then. However, she was the one that Frederick had chosen at present.
She was uncomfortable about Frederick's past but she had no reason to be jealous about it!
What she cared about at this moment was how Frederick treated her. At this instant, she knew that she cherished and wanted this marriage. She wanted this relationship and she wanted this man!
Pressing her lips, Alicia wrapped her hands around Frederick's neck. Looking at him, she started to speak in a soft tone, "Hubby, does that mean you... you choose me over her?"
Looking at Alicia, Frederick leaned in and gave her a lingering kiss.
At that moment, Alicia's heart bloomed again. She smiled at Frederick and laid down on his chest. As long as he still cared about her, she felt that this relationship was worth fighting for!
Caressing her pink cheeks, Frederick hugged her intuitively.
He liked her temper the most. Her emotions came and faded away quickly, making her easy to coax. After all, not everyone had ample patience and energy to comfort people!
In fact, most of the break- ups were not caused by not loving the other half anymore but it was because of them getting tired of their relationship!
He lowered his head and kissed her forehead lightly. Then, he carried her and made their way to the bed.
That night, they had a sensual session. It was another beautiful, warm, yet fiery night...
Meanwhile, in Danica's room, she squatted on the ground while holding some old photos from the past. She tore and cut all the photos before throwing them all into the fire. Her hair was messy and her face was inexplicably angry.
The next morning, Alicia woke up in a jolly mood. Looking at the handsome face beside her, she was deeply captivated. He had a beautiful face, thick eyebrows, enchanting eyes, and a sharp nose. To Alicia, he was a masterpiece. Frederick's long and thick eyelashes were a dream for most women. Alicia slightly propped up her body and blew at his feather-like eyelashes:
"Tickle-time! Wake up! Wake up!"
Frederick blinked in a daze. Apparently, Alicia had a great time teasing him.
"Why haven't you woke up yet? It's rare for me to wake up this early!" Alicia muttered.
Alicia leaned closer and just before she could say anything, she was stopped by Frederick. The next second, she was rolled over and pressed down as his soft lips touched hers.
A few kisses later, Alicia unconsciously wrapped her hands around Frederick's neck.
Early in the morning, the sun shined and Alicia's heart bloomed again...
They lingered in bed for a while before Frederick reluctantly got out of bed. Squinting her eyes, Alicia spoke in a sweet tone.
"Good morning, Hubby!"
"Good morning!"
Hearing her voice, Fredrick pinched her in the jaw and laid back down again. He closed his eyes for a while and said, "You're getting naughtier!"
Every morning, he always felt reluctant to get off the bed. He even felt that he was getting lazier! But, it felt wonderful staying with her this way. NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
"Tee-hee!"
Alicia slipped into his arms again with a sweet smile on her face. Feeling his warmth, she felt wonderful and satisfied.
As he was hugging her, the both of them laid in bed for a little longer before getting up.
A simple breakfast later, they went back to the room to change their clothes.
As Frederick picked up his coat, he saw Alicia combing her hair. She was wearing a formal blouse paired with trousers and exquisite makeup on her face. She looked the same in his memory, except there were no earrings on her.
It seemed that Frederick hadn't seen Alicia wear those earrings for a while now.
Feeling joy in his heart, Frederick turned around. Suddenly, he stopped. "I thought she liked it! Hold on, those earrings... Were they given by him?"
A hypothesis flashed through Frederick's mind and his heartbeat accelerated for a while. Did he get it wrong before? Could that be the reason that she liked those earrings?
Since when did she stop wearing those earrings?
After the divorce agreement!
The sudden recognition made Frederick tremble for a moment.
Meanwhile, Alicia saw Frederick standing there in the middle of tying his tie. She stepped forward and helped him. "Are you okay? You look like you've spaced out."
Alicia walked toward the mirror after getting ready and looked at herself in the mirror. "How do I look? Beautiful, right?"
The next second, Frederick wrapped his hands around her waist and asked her, "Why did you stop wearing those earrings?"
"Huh?"
Alicia subconsciously touched her ears. There were no earrings on them. She was getting used to not wearing earrings already.
"Why did you stop wearing the butterfly earrings?"
Turning her body unwillingly, Alicia lowered her head. Then, she started to mutter, "You didn't want me anymore. Why should I wear them? It just makes me sad."
Upon hearing her words, Frederick was excited as if he had won a jackpot. She didn't wear those earrings because of Jeremy, nor was it because of the design of the earrings. It was not because of the price either. It was because of him.
Lifting her head, Frederick gave her another deep kiss passionately.
"Such a fool! I won't leave you again, I promise! Wear them if you like them. From now on, we'll go with the Clements' house rules. If you make any mistake in the future, we'll punish you according to the rules!"
Settle it in bed!
Why didn't Frederick think of it before? This punishment suited him. No matter how angry he was, the penalty would calm him down for sure!
Alicia blushed. She bit her lips and said, "Why do I feel tricked? Hubby, you're bullying me! It's bad to bully a cute and innocent person like me."
What kind of house rule was that? Obviously, Frederick just wanted to get her into bed for the inevitable couple routine.
"Well, now that you are clear about the punishment, be nice to me. Don't make any mistakes anymore!" Frederick sternly said.
Rolling her eyes, Alicia stopped arguing with him. She knew she was just going in circles if she continued!
Realizing that the clock was ticking, Alicia turned around and grabbed her bag. "Hubby, I'm leaving! I'm going to be late!"
Rushing to the door, Alicia remembered something. She went back in and rummaged through her accessory box for the butterfly earrings. Then, she ran to the door while putting on the earrings.
"Goodbye, Hubby! See you tonight!"
Before leaving the house, Alicia blew a kiss at Frederick. Watching the rushing figure disappearing from his sight, Frederick's eyes were filled with love. It made him whisper in a soft tone.
"See you tonight."
