Chapter 555
Frederick was shaken and he wanted to chase after her, but he simply couldn't move his feet as he was stunned for a few seconds. When he came to his senses, he hastily rushed towards the elevator as if he broke free from his own shackles. Unfortunately, the elevator had already gone down the moment he arrived, so he immediately began to smash the elevator's button!
It wasn't long before Chet and Carson caught up to him. They were shocked and they ran forwards to grab his hand. "Frederick, what do you think you're doing?"
Why was he behaving this way? Was he trying to dismantle the elevator?
"I saw her! I saw..."
Ally was still alive!
He saw her. He knew he wasn't dreaming nor was he drunk either! He definitely saw Alicia. She was dressed as stylishly and beautifully as always, and she was laughing as well.
Heart-warming tears welled up in his eyes as Frederick fervidly held onto Chet's sleeves. However, he didn't forget where he currently was and the plans that he'd prepared. As such, he decided not to call out her name.
His primary instinct was to protect her, but he was also afraid that someone was eavesdropping on him!
His sudden joy was like a tide that smashed through the gate; it drowned him in an instant.
Judging from the strength of Frederick's grip, Chet was able to grasp the meaning behind it while his eyes widened a little. However, at the same time, Carson was completely confused.
"Who did you see?"
Were they searching for someone? Did they see a ghost? Why was he so agitated?
At this moment, the door of the elevator opened and the three of them walked in. Carson raised his head as Chet handed him two strands of hair that had fallen.
"Run a DNA test on these and give me the results as soon as possible! This is the second reason Frederick invited you to accompany him tonight, so don't you ever lose it!"
"What? I doubt it is. This must be the main reason he did so. I'm here to watch something interesting. How is watching women fight over Mr. Clements's good? Ha, lame!"
Even though he complained, Carson still kept the sealed bag in his pocket and said, "Hey Chet, you've learned a lot from your master, haven't you? Or is it the other way around?"
Before he finished his words, he lowered his voice and whispered in Chet's ear. He was afraid that Frederick might be upset upon hearing his words. At this moment, Frederick instantly strode out right after the elevator's door opened.
Chet turned around and told him,
"Whatever it is, just step on it! Besides that, Master Vives, I have to remind you that you should avoid the woman whom Frederick isn't fond of at all cost. The more attractive a lady is, the deadlier she is as well!"
Chet gave Carson a deep look before he left to catch up with Frederick.
"Hey, what do you mean by that?" Who was the woman whom Frederick wasn't fond of?
Carson scratched his head as he walked out. He suddenly came to a stop while a thought flashed through his mind. "Was Chet referring to the beautiful lady at the party? Was it really that moment and did it even count as a commotion?"
"D*mn it!" It was useless to ask him about it, and it wasn't amusing at all!
Carson cussed with a low voice before he reluctantly walked out.
Outside the entrance, Frederick's forehead beaded with sweat as there was no one to be seen after he walked around a few times.
"Frederick... I think you miss Miss Blanchard too much." It was most likely the explanation behind his words.
"No, it's impossible! I saw her with my own eyes. I might be wrong about anyone else, but I'm absolutely certain about her! This isn't the first time I've seen her either!"
Undoubtedly, Frederick clearly saw her that day.Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
He wasn't dreaming the last time either; it was real as well!
As he pounded his own head, Frederick tried to recall what had happened that day. He vaguely remembered that it was a dance... at a nightclub! Misty? Could it have been... Misty?
In an instant, his enthusiasm diminished. "If that was Misty, then was I wrong about Alicia? But how can there be two people who look so similar?" He turned around and anxiously grabbed Chet's arm again.
"Bring me the hotel's surveillance
footage now specifically the one for tonight! Besides that, I also saw Alicia talking to a middle-aged earlier. They were laughing
they talked; their relations.
unquestionably strange. He must Know something, so I want you to find out what it is immediately!"
Frederick kept urging him without giving him a chance to speak at all. As soon as Chet turned around, Frederick instantly held him back.
"Be careful when you're going through the surveillance and don't let anyone notice you! If it's really her, I don't want anyone to find out about the truth before we do. I can't possibly jeopardize her..."
"Don't worry, I understand!"
That night, Frederick went home to watch the entire footage. A camera had clearly captured the figure of a familiar person. Although the facial appearance wasn't clear, it seemed to be Alicia.
He was unable to fall asleep again that night. However, it was the swiftest and most relaxing night he ever had in the past few days!
All of a sudden, he remembered
1
there was only one person's DNA found in the fire accident. Although the similarity was 99%, there was still a slim chance that it wasn't Alicia. Besides, she only entered the store later on. If someone did manage to escape the fire then it should've been her! She was closer to the exit after all.
Out of nowhere, Frederick had a deep feeling that Ally was alive!
She must be alive!
He took a quick nap as dawn was closing in. When he woke up, he immediately called Chet. Shortly, he brought over the required documents to him. "Did you find anything? Was that woman Ally and who's that man?"
Frederick eagerly flipped open the documents that were presented to him. At this moment, he paused and said, "Sebastian? The ex-husband of Lovely Scent's owner, who is also a singer?"
"What's going on? Why was Ally together with a man like him? If she wasn't Ally, then was it a coincidence that she was linked to Lovely Scent?" Frederick wondered curiously.
"The woman who had a meal with Sebastian last night was Heaven Star Clubhouse's celebrity... Misty Swift!"
Chet didn't want to upset Frederick, but he wasn't sure what else he could've said to him. After all, he brought a photo of Miss Blanchard and double checked it with the waiter that they looked very similar.
"Misty was Ally all along?" Chet became silent as he noticed Frederick's eagerness that was slowly engulfed by a dreadful hopelessness.
"Is that so?"
"I've cross-checked Misty's ID card. She lives in a small countryside under Bayton City; it's known as the Swift Village. It stated that she's in her early twenties. Other than having a similar appearance, her identity is completely different from Miss Blanchard's, and..."
"Don't keep me hanging, just tell me already!"
Frederick couldn't believe that Alicia had a doppelganger. To him, she was clearly Ally in his own eyes and he wasn't mistaken by it! No wonder the dancer from Heaven Star Clubhouse seemed familiar to him the last time.
He wasn't mistaken by it!
"She belongs to Mr. Nick. Heaven Star Clubhouse is under his territory and that's why she's known as 'Miss
Swift'. At Heaven Star Clubhouse
l
she's allowed to dance at any moment she pleases, and no one dares to order or question her. That's the reason why other nightclubs can't buy her out no matter how much they offer!"
"Mr. Nick?"
Was she another man's woman already?
Frederick felt like there was a real reason behind this, but at the moment, he was down in the dumps as he heard Chet's explanation.
