Chapter 586
Everyone agreed immediately as no one had any better ideas. Shortly, everyone left to arrange everything. In the room, Sebastian's assistant returned with medicine while Alicia poured him a glass of water.
"Sebastian, is it because you've lost a lot of money to gambling that you haven't been resting well? Money is merely worldly possession! They will come back to you eventually. You need to take it easy and overcome this obstacle first!"
A thought flashed across Sebastian's mind as he hopelessly sighed,
"Sigh, my luck has been against me lately! I honestly don't know what's wrong with me, I just couldn't help myself every time I was on a winning spree. Moreover, I even borrowed some money from a loan shark. I have no idea how far the debt has gone... and I have to pay it back within a month!"Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
"Sebastian, why on earth did you borrow money from them?! Didn't I say to play in moderation and not be too greedy?!"
Alicia shouted in feigned shock before she quickly covered her mouth and said,
"All right, calm down, everything will be fine! I'm certain that a lot of money will flow in if this concert is a success! You need to return the money to the loan sharks as soon as possible, no matter what it takes! Sebastian, please don't hate me for saying this, but if I were you, I would immediately call Kianna and tell her about it! Besides, you both are family, it should be easier to discuss your problems with her. Once the loan sharks start meddling with your life, your reputation will definitely be ruined! Gambling small amounts of money is fine, but things will get chaotic if you get greedy. You should really get it under control!"
While advising him, Alicia thought, "It's best to scrape every last penny from her. This way, they'll definitely regret it in the future!"
Sebastian already felt perturbed while his mind was in shambles. He nodded in a daze after listening to Alicia's words. Coincidentally, a beep could be heard coming from his phone. It was a message reminding him of his impending debt. He nervously gulped,
"Three million dollars?!"
Sebastian clearly remembered the money he borrowed had started with the figure "one". Although he doubted deep down, Sebastian simply wasn't in the mood to argue. The scene of him signing and stamping his fingerprint flashed across his mind. Right then, his heart skipped a beat.
As Alicia turned around, Sebastian carefully took another look at his phone. In an instant, his back was nearly drenched in sweat. Apparently, the interest of his loan was expected to increase at a rate of three hundred thousand dollars a day! They also charged him fees for getting their money at his doorstep. At the end of the message, the address of several properties he had purchased and the name of his son were stated as well.
Sebastian held the phone in his hands and went to the bathroom. He called the loan sharks before calling Kianna with the excuse that the concert needed a deposit. Sebastian told her to gather all the money she had in hand and transfer it into one account!
At nightfall, the illuminated concert hall under the starry sky together with surrounding vendors and small merchants made the atmosphere riproaring. Frederick and the others arrived at the concert with a significant amount of luxurious cars. With the idea of being the center of attention, he deliberately brought some bodyguards along. As so, there was a great commotion as soon as he stepped out of the car; the entire crowd started to surround him. Even the security guards who were maintaining order had to run over to his side and stir off the crowd. At one corner, the media desperately approached him with cameras in their hands.
Chet was utterly speechless as he walked in front of Frederick. "Excuse me, please make way..."
Behind him, Wyatt and Willy cluelessly stared at each other while Carson was even more puzzled by the sight of the commotion. He started circling the area with his toes tipped.
"Frederick, this is a man's concert!"
An elder man at that. What was there for them to see? Not only did Frederick drag them to the concert, but they also had to make a scene. What on earth was going on?
"Is Trevor not coming tonight? What a friend. He's the only one not here!" Carson muttered. Frederick looked at him and said, "I'm treating you to a concert, yet you're complaining! Trevor left half a month ago, he can't come back at a moment's notice. I'll get him to treat us once he's back!" "Frederick, the reason you brought us here..."
Before Carson could finish his sentence, the crowd surrounded them, and in an instance, several mini microphones stretched out while a reporter asked, "Mr. Clements, Four Great Masters, are you all fans of Mr. Forbes?"
"Mr. Clements, is it purely coincidental that the Four Great Masters are gathered here tonight? Are you all here to see Mr. Forbes or are you here for another agenda? I heard that Mr. Forbes has organized a concert previously, so why were the Four Great Masters absent back then?"
"Master Vives, are you fond of any other stars besides Sebastian?"
"Mr. Johnson, how about you?"
Wyatt held his forehead as he was overwhelmed by the reporters' questions. On the other hand, Carson tried his very best to evade the media. They looked at each other with a bitter smile on their faces.
Frankly, they had no idea who Sebastian was at all! They were there simply because Frederick wanted them to.
Willy lowered his head as a nervous
smile appeared on his face.
Frederick was the only one who displayed great interest, he showed no displeasure of being surrounded at all. Frederick raised his hand and said, "Everyone, the concert's about to begin. We shouldn't obstruct the entrance and ruin everyone's mood! We're here to listen to the music, but..."
He deliberately paused for silence before he continued aloud, "More importantly, I'm here tonight to see my woman!"
As soon as Frederick said that, he
immediately strode into the concert hall. However, it was as if he had dropped a bomb, not only did the crowd burst into an uproar but even Carson and the others were taken aback for a few seconds. As they
entered the hall, they were much happier now that they knew the reason.
Seated on high ground, Carson immediately leaned over and asked, "Frederick, what woman were you talking about?" Frederick pushed Carson aside, turned around, and glanced at him, "Just see for yourself later!"
Just then, a waiter came over with some tea and desserts. Wyatt and Willy looked at each other and shook their heads. Shortly, Carson headed over to their side. The three of them muttered for a while before they stared at each other with their eyes wide open and shook their heads.
It wasn't long before everyone took their seats. About half an hour later, the lights grew dim, and the concert commenced.
The stage lights flickered on and off for a moment before the opening act. Sebastian, who was dressed in black; Alicia, who was dressed in red, slowly walked towards the center of the stage with Latin dance.
Alicia's profile flashed across the big screen. The three of them were flabbergasted seeing her face as they finally understood who Frederick was referring to.
"Misty?"
"Alicia?"
Carson and Wyatt exclaimed at the same time as they turned to each other. Right then, Willy immediately understood, "No wonder Frederick asked him to look for this Luther guy at Eighth Casino to help some girl named Misty!" He wondered why back then!
It turned out that Misty and Alicia were very much alike!
The three of them exchanged glances before they subconsciously directed their gaze at Frederick. It was then that they came to the same conclusion.
Frederick fell for someone else again!
But this time, the woman was a carbon copy of Alicia. Not only that, this time was far worse than ever before!
