Chapter 603
At the tip of her tongue, Victoria was about to say, 'no, we don't', but she merely kept these words to herself. Instead, Anthony's eyes were blazing. She really wanted to know what he had to say!
He fixed his eyes on her interminably while he remained completely still. He was extremely agitated as he continuously rolled his Adam's apple up and down, yet not a single word came out from his mouth.
Her heart gradually sank to the bottom with every second that he held his tongue.
On one side, Isabella noticed the odd glance that was exchanged between the two. The smile on her face slowly faded, "Anthony?"
She hesitantly shifted her sight to Victoria, "Miss, would you care... to join us? Let's take a seat and have a chat!"Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
As soon as Isabella spoke, Victoria snorted immediately with a side glance towards Anthony, "There's no need for that. We aren't that close anyways!"
Raising her feet, she quickly strode past them. All of a sudden, Anthony instinctively grabbed her by her wrist and said, "Kimmy!"
Victoria flicked his hands off and gave him a cold stare, "Don't you ever call me that again!"
She proudly turned around and elegantly walked away from them. At this moment, there were already tears rolling down her eyes.
Victoria's good spirits were completely diminished the second she left the hotel. She quickly entered her car and immediately drove off with a harsh stomp on the gas pedal. Shortly after, she pulled over to an open space and cried her lungs out.
Why was Anthony so ungrateful?! He was the one whom Victoria deeply loved for years, the person whom she wanted to be with for the rest of her life!
Leaning against the seat, she shed tears in silence while flashbacks of the past came rushing across her mind. It was the summer vacation where she lost her purse while she was paying for her bus ticket. Being all alone at that moment without a cell phone, she was helpless and she was almost kicked out by the bus driver. She cried in despair as she needed some money for the ride as she had lost all her valuable belongings.
The bus attendant was incapable of helping her as ten dollars was a huge amount of money at that time. In the blink of an eye, the people around her accused her of a fraud who was trying to repudiate the fees at a young age. Right then, Anthony was the only one who was willing to lend her the money that she desperately needed. When they got off the bus, Victoria burst into tears. Looking at the poor girl who was crying in front of him, he went to the extent of finding a transit for her and even bought her some bread.
She wasn't sure if he still remembered it, butthat was actually the first time they had met. Such a warm-hearted and kind young man had since left a deep impression on her! At that very second, he was like Victoria's prince charming who sneaked into her life and imprinted a fond memory in her mind...
As time passed by, she transferred to a new school where the both met each other again. Unfortunately, it seemed like he had forgotten about their previous encounter. Thus, she merely kept quiet about it ever since. It wasn't long before she had a crush on him. He always stood up for her whenever she was bullied by her classmates and she felt safe every time he was by her side. He wasn't like any other boys who liked to grab her clothes and touch her face with their dirty hands, or even come close to her with their sweaty odor around them. He was always elegant, unblemished, and virtuous. He wouldn't raise his voice to anyone randomly or get into any fights.
Therefore, she always appreciated and looked up to him!
What happened to the brave and responsible man who sought justice? Why was he a completely different person now?
Without thinking twice, Victoria recalled how she had swooped in to rescue him. She wasn't afraid of death, nor afraid that she would be injured. As long they were together, she had nothing to fear...
Nheless, her reality was merciless towards her. Why was everything back-firing on her?
Why was Anthony so selfish? Why did he abandon her when she had gone to extreme lengths for him? That night was a complete turnover of her life.
She was frantically pulling her own hair as her mind was drowned in multiple thoughts. She experienced countless sleepless nights, awakened in the middle of the night, and was tormented by her miserable tragedy. She had no choice but to run far away, keeping herself busy to get rid of the shadow that was hanging over her, yet Anthony had already started a new relationship?
Why... Why did she have to face the consequences by herself for this misfortune that she had suffered!
Her hatred! She hated...
Her repulsion once again arose in her heart like countless protruding thorns. It was an unbearable pain that turned her emotions into the worst...
It was long before she calmed
herself down and the tears by the corner of her eyes had completely dried off. Shortly, Victoria knocked herself in the forehead to gather her thoughts before she started the engine,
If she could turn back time, she never would've done anything this silly!
It was a pity that there wasn't any cure for her resentment in this world. She could never bring back whatever she had lost!
At that very moment, her heart sank to the bottom of the ocean.
As soon as she arrived at the entrance of the Green Lux Garden, out of nowhere, a shadow suddenly leaped in front of her car. Victoria immediately stepped on the brakes in fear of driving into him,
"Who's there?! Are you out of your mind?"
While she rolled down her window, she was shocked to see the person before her, it was Anthony! Her mind splintered momentarily as their eyes were fixed on each other.
"Come out, Kimmy! Let's talk for a while."
"Get out of my way, I'm not in the mood to see you!"
As the two were quarreling across her car window, the driver behind her impatiently flashed his headlights and honked a few times. She had no choice but to pull aside to the edge of the entrance.
Anthony quickly rushed up to her as soon as she got down from the car.
"Kimmy, hear me out! Isabella... Miss Grint is merely the daughter of my father's friend. I was just having a casual dinner with her and it was just the first time! There's nothing going on between us!"
She halted and gave him a squinted glare as she sneered, "Are you done yet? If you are then get lost already! Your lies disgust me as much as you do!"
She flung his hands off her as she welled up in anger once again, "Wasn't he ashamed of himself at all?!" She asked herself.
"Kimmy, I'm telling you the truth!" Anthony yelled as his grip around her wrist became tighter than before.
"So you gave her a bouquet of red
roses even though it was the 'first time'? You two were extremely casual to one another too! Even
calling each other Anthony
Isabella? Anthony, do you honestly take me as a fool or do you think I'm blind?!
Shortly after her outburst of rage, Victoria finally took a long deep breath before she continued,
"It's none of my business to be involved with whatever you're up to and I shouldn't be bothered by whoever you date as well! But, do not contaminate my ears with your filthy lies and please stay out of my life!"
She was fuming with anger, she wanted nothing more than him to leave.
"Don't look at me with those teary innocent eyes! Your guilt can't make up for any of my pain. It'll only remind me how silly I was back then! Anthony, it's impossible for you to compensate for the things you owe me in this life! Remember well, all of my sufferings, the miseries and my pain, they're solely because of you! It was you who pushed me into this wretched hell and it was you who tore me into pieces! I will never forgive you in my entire life. This debt will be clinging onto you until your death! I hate you, I hope that you'll be struck by lightning and chopped into pieces... Now get out of my sight, I never want to see you again, so stop pestering me!
"Kimmy!"
The both of them were arguing at the entrance right as a sudden flash interrupted their conversation. In a split second, a deep frigid voice that
brought a sense of warning cut in,
"Victoria..."
