Lauren tried to feel it, and she felt that her stomach was empty and all of a sudden, she burst into tears, then starting throwing punches at Willy. "It's all your fault, it's all because of you! If you hadn't chased me away, I wouldn't have had to run around..." she said.

Lauren glared at him, then slapped his hand away and protected her tummy, but her pursed lips slowly spread into a smile. At that instant, Willy was captivated by her pure smile, and was left in a daze.

Just then, the sound of a phone vibrating came from aside. Lauren seemed to have remembered something, and wanted to get down the bed. However, at the next second, her handbag was already placed in her hands.

"Sharon, it's me! Yeah, I'm fine..." she said.

"I'm so sorry for making you worried..." she continued.

Hearing that it was a call from her roommate, Willy didn't say anything about it. Instead, he turned around and walked out the door.

Willy drove to the nearest restaurant, and bought some delicious food and desserts for her. He even bought a bouquet of roses at the entrance. As he walked back to the car with flowers in his arms, people around him stared at him like he was a rare animal, and he started to blush. As soon as he arrived at the door of the ward, he loosened his tie and he mumbled, "Why is it so hot in here, didn't they turn on the air conditioner?" He arranged the flowers a little, then cleared his throat and knocked on the door with a smile on his face.

Just as Willy pushed the door open and looked up, Willy felt like time has just paused, and the smile on his face froze too.

The huge ward was empty, and there was only a nurse in there, arranging the bed sheets.

Their gazes met, and they stared at each other in confusion.

"Who are you looking for, sir?" the nurse asked.

"Where's the patient of this ward?" he asked.

The nurse was dumbfounded, and turned around to take a look. She said in shock, "I didn't see anyone when I came here!"

She thought that no one was staying in the ward, so she changed the bed sheets and blanket in the ward. Could it be that the patient hadn't been discharged yet? The nurse took a look at the records hurriedly to check if there was anyone staying there.

Willy's face darkened with awkwardness, and he walked out of the room. D*mn it, could she have run away? Was she trying to avoid him or avoid the fees of staying in the hospital?

She prepared a few necessities, and

placed a few packs of biscuits and some fruit into a lunchbox. Then, Lauren left the house slowly. She first went to the lab to take a look at

Lexx picked up the cell phone, then started the car. All of a sudden, he came to a realization that he was probably overthinking. If she was really scheming or was a cunning woman, how could she be so badly conned by a man to the extent that she lost everything?

Lauren turned around, and caught sight of the familiar black Maybach driving past her. At the sight of that, she couldn't help smiling!
