Chapter 28 Suffocated
Louis thought he must be bewitched. This woman was so vicious that she wanted to haunt him after she died.
As they both remained silent, the moonlight shone in and landed on Blanche's face. The smell of shampoo from her body was pleasant and hypnotizing.
Blanche felt a wave of melancholy as the man's fingertips caressed the smooth skin of her wrist.
"What kind of body wash do you use? It smells quite pleasant."
Louis tried to recall the various pink bottles and jars in the bathroom, but he couldn't remember the brand, as he had never bothered to pick them up and examine them closely.
Blanche was bewildered. The man held onto her, unwilling to let go, simply because he found the scent of her shower gel appealing.
"It's papaya-scented. I always use that kind of body wash. You can use it too if you like. There's plenty in the big bottle."
Blanche loved the papaya body wash, not only for its cleansing properties but also for its emollient effect and refreshing fragrance.
"What else do you want? It's time to sleep." She wondered why he was still holding onto her.
Suddenly, Louis pulled her closer, and even in the darkness, Blanche could sense the intensity of his gaze. It made her feel uneasy.
Louis' free hand slowly moved from her ear to the base of her earlobe, causing her to feel ticklish and weak in her knees.
There was something off about him tonight, and it made her feel as if she were in danger. Was he seeking revenge because she had turned on the lamp and disturbed his sleep?
As the potent masculine scent enveloped her, Blanche tried to turn her head away, but he forcefully held her in place with one hand.
With a gentle tug, he removed her mask.
"Can you breeze normally behind this thing every day? What if you're suffocated?"
Blanche was at a loss for words.
Feeling the cool air on her face, she was bewildered by the sudden removal of her mask. Her ear was still gently pinched, but fortunately, the darkness concealed her face from his view.
"How so? You just don't understand. It's quite breathable, and wearing two wouldn't even be a problem."
As Blanche tried to swat away the hand that was caressing her ear, he skillfully evaded her and proceeded to let his large palm explore her face. Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
His palm was hot, but his touch was gentle, as if he were handling a precious treasure. In the dead of night, this tender gesture made her feel as though she were being loved.
She felt like a cat, and he was her owner.
Blanche shivered slightly, attempting to tear the hand off her face. However, his grip was too strong for her to handle.
"Stop touching me."
Frustrated and anxious, she grabbed his arm, causing Louis to feel a sharp pain.
He quickly withdrew his hand, examining his palm for a moment before his expression turned serious.
"Don't you have an ugly scar on your face? Why didn't I feel the slightest bump or roughness of a scar?"
Not only was there no bump or rough texture, but her skin was smooth and tender. How could that possibly be the touch of a scar?
Louis' fingers had traced from her left cheek to the right. It was all tender skin.
Blanche tensed up and clenched her fists, realizing that she had forgotten that part. She wondered if he had discovered the truth.
"Where's your scar?" Louis asked sternly.
Blanche's heart skipped a beat.
"Ah... didn't you see it? I've been applying the moisturizer every day, and the scar... has faded a lot. That's why it doesn't feel bumpy."
She lied through her hat, but the man didn't seem to believe her.
"Can moisturizer really do that much?"
"Of course. I've been taking care of it since I was little, and the quantity has produced a qualitative change. It may feel different to the touch, but the ugly scar is still there."
Blanche's heart was racing as she tried to escape while Louis was distracted.
But she had underestimated his reaction speed.
He quickly grabbed her and pulled her back.
"What are you running for? I won't eat you, or are you playing hard to get?"
His words gave Blanche a headache.
While they were grappling, her chest was suddenly gripped. Louis didn't know what it was, but it felt special. He squeezed the softness and felt a tingle.
"What is this thing? It's so soft."
Blanche looked down and saw his hand still there. Her mind was instantly blown away.
"Get your dirty hand off me, you rascal!"
She blushed with shame and knocked the hand off.
Her overreaction bedazzled Louis, and then he realized what he had touched. No wonder she was so thin yet had such a fleshy part.
The air grew still and awkward, so quiet that even the sound of a pin dropping could be heard.
It turned out the girls' breasts were so soft.
Blanche trembled with anger and bellowed again. "Rascal!"
Louis didn't respond as Blanche ran back to the sofa in the dark, pulled up the quilt, and covered her head in frustration.
In the darkness of the night, Louis looked at the hand that had just touched her and frowned.
