Chapter 96
After what had happened over the weekend she had not called Jaxton at all the entire weekend she needed time to think of what to do.
As she got to the office on Monday, grudgingly by the way as she had not had perfect sleep all through the weekend she walked to her office just to be informed by her secretary that she had been chosen to go get a deal with Sophies Agency for their product advert.
“Why does he always choose me for this huge task?” she asked herself as she carried her bag and everything she would be needing out of the office to her car so she could discuss it with Sophie.
As she got to the office she began a conversation with Sophies Manager.
“From the look of it, everything looks great and u are certain my boss would approve of this” the manager assured Sydney was excited to hear that because she could not wait to have a connection with Sophie.
“Ms Sophie would like to see you now” the manager informed her when she got up and made her way to the CEO of the Agency’s office.
“After a few introductions were made she finally pitch her idea and reasons why she had been waiting on Sophie but then she received shocking news.
” We would not be able to use your product for advertisement,” Sophie said in a boring tone as though what she had just explained and smiled over was the worst thing she had ever heard.
“What!!! Why? Is there a reason for that?” Sydney asked confused as to why the idea was refuted she knew they were good ideas she pitched.
The money involved in the job was no joke so what was Sophie on about?
As she walked out of Sophie’s office she thought of what she just might have done wrong.NôvelDrama.Org © content.
She went to her car and sat there going through the portfolio in hand and then she took out her pink marker.
Maybe she had to highlight the places which consisted of the things she needed them to see about their products.
Without thinking twice she rushed back into the building startling the manager who had been nothing but nice to her as she had entered the first time before she went Sophie.
“Please one last chance to meet your boss, I have something to explain to her,” Sydney said with an awkward grin on her face.
One of the qualities Sydeny had was never to back down she felt like she was being defeated and that was why she was exceptional at what she did in the company.
She treated the company like it was hers.
As she sat there and waited for the manager to finish his discussion with the manager who was seemingly not wanting to meet Sydney again but when she heard what her manager said she told him to send her in.
“Thanks for accepting to see me again,” she said while taking her seat.
“I only hope what you wish to tell me would wow the heck out of me right now if not it would beat you take the door,” Sophie said.
Seems she was having a bad day because the Sophie she had heard of was quite different from who she was looking at right now.
“Okay, I would make sure to be fast about it” She responded.
After saying something’s still Sophie was still bent on rejecting the entire proposal she was being given even when the amount called was humorous and irresistible.
Sydney felt defeated after Sophie, the CEO of the advertising agency, rejected their product at the White company for advertisement.
She had put a lot of time and effort into convincing Sophie about the quality of their products, but all her efforts had gone in vain.
Sydney felt like she had failed and that her hard work had gone unnoticed.
Despite the rejection, Sydney tried to convince Sophie that their products were the best in the furniture industry.
She thought maybe Sophie had missed something in their presentation and that there was still hope to get the contract.
Sydney prepared a detailed report highlighting the unique features of their products and how they stood out in the crowded furniture industry.
Sydney believed that it was only a matter of time before Sophie would be convinced and sign the contract.
“But I could consider some parts of the proposal” Sophie stopped in her tracks as she was about to leave.
“Really?” Sydney asked.
“Well your resilience in trying to make me believe in your company has earned you that spot,” Sophie said this time with a smile.
Her smile was radiant and it seemed to illuminate the room they were in.
Now Sydney, understood, Sophie simply wanted to know what it was that could make herbrwak and since she had not given her the satisfaction of that, she had happily accepted the deal and they signed the contract
In the end, Sydney’s efforts paid off, and Sophie was finally convinced about the quality of their products.
It was a moment of triumph for Sydney, and she felt proud of herself for not giving up. She learned that perseverance and hard work was the best thing which could ever happen to anyone who wanted to achieve something in life.
“I hope to continue seeing you,” Sophie said as she walked Sydney out.
“Likewise”
Sydney was excited and the only thing which occupied her mind was for her to go tell Paxton and the team of their success.
She would have called but she didn’t want to miss the happiness on each person’s face.
“How did it go?” she asked as she entered the room and she looked gloomy at first.
“You didn’t get it?” Paxton asked her his face void as it wasn’t easy to read his facial expressions.
“Well, everything was going well then all of a sudden she took out her pen and decided to sign it”.
She said jumping.
