Chapter 1034
Aurora collapsed onto the bed and gripped the sheets tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"What do you want from me? What do you want?"
"Welcome to my game, Aurora. What I want is random, based on my mood. Before this, all of you were players in my game. The rules are set by me."
Aurora lifted her head, finally realizing that she had walked straight into a trap. Yet now, she had no choice. If she told Theodore, it would prove that she had been lying to him. She had saved Theodore not by accident, but by deliberate design.
Aurora wiped the tears from her face. "Are you going to hurt Theodore?"
"That depends on how cooperative you are. When the game's over, if you listen well, maybe I'll let you both grow old together. After all, I was the one who made you two go from strangers to being acquainted, to being in bed together. My abilities are greater than you think."
Yerick's eyes gleamed with confident amusement. Aurora knew she was no match for him, so she could only resign herself and nod.
No matter what happened, she couldn't lose Theodore. So, she had to comply.
"Good. That's more like it," Yerick said, gently stroking the back of her head. His touch seemed tender, but his eyes held a ruthless gleam. "Do you want to know what Theodore is doing right now?"
"He... Didn't he already go back?"
"That's what you think," Yerick said, pinching her face. "He's still in the hospital. Do you believe me?"
Aurora gritted her teeth. "Why would he be in the hospital? Are you saying he's with Rosalie? I don't believe it."
Yerick sneered. "Looks like you really won't believe it until you see it."
He yanked her off the bed. "Come with me."
Yerick took Aurora to Rosalie's ward. Before Aurora could speak, the door to the room suddenly opened, and Theodore walked out.
Aurora was stunned. She immediately hid in the corner with Yerick.
After Theodore left, Aurora and Yerick entered the room. Rosalie was lying in bed, fast asleep. Aurora covered her mouth, utterly shocked, tears flowing down her cheeks.
How could this happen?
Theodore had gone back, right? So why was he in Rosalie's room? And why was Rosalie here? What was going on?
"Did you see that?" Yerick whispered in her ear. "I wasn't lying, was I? Theodore never went back."
Rosalie was still sound asleep in bed.
Aurora gritted her teeth; she was about to go forward, but Yerick grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the ward. Just as they left the ward, Theodore returned with a cup of hot coffee.
Aurora hid not far away. Tears kept sliding down her face. This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
"Why is this happening? Why?" she said, anguished.
"Because she's the woman
Theodore loves the most. As for you, you're just a substitute. Don't you get it? Why else would he stay to
take care of his ex-wife, but noto care for you?" Yerick pointed out.
"I told him to go back, and he agreed. Why is his ex-wife...that woman, Rosalie...lying in the hospital bed? What's going on?" "She's not feeling well. Theodore took her for a check-up. That's why he's staying in the hospital with her," Yerick explained. Aurora wiped the tears from her face. "What should I do?"
She had almost rushed over to grab Rosalie by the collar and demand why the latter was taking Theodore from her.
