Chapter 1036
Chapter 1036
"You'll...you'll help me get a new heart? How will you do that?" Aurora asked.
"Why not? You can choose not to believe me, but once you miss this chance, it's gone," Yerick said. "The pill is right here. Eat it when you feel like it. If you really don't want it, you can throw it away-but that's akin to throwing away an opportunity."
Yerick released his hand. "It's late. Go to sleep."
Aurora looked coldly at the pill in her hand. "How can I possibly fall asleep?"
She couldn't eat or sleep knowing that Theodore was with Rosalie. Hatred filled her heart right now.
Suddenly, a pocket watch appeared before her and started swinging. Yerick's voice drifted into her ears as he fixed his gaze upon her.
"Go to sleep."
The pocket watch swung before her for around ten seconds. Aurora suddenly felt dizzy; she then collapsed on the bed, falling into a deep sleep.
Yerick looked coldly at her as he kept the pocket watch away. He reached out to pull the sheets over her.
"Good night, Ms. Payne."
Cynthia's body with Rosalie's face. How exciting.
Yerick turned to leave, a proud smirk on his face.
I'm getting more characters in my game. There's even a Justin who accidentally barged in. Interesting."
At dawn, gentle sunlight shone into the ward.
Rosalie opened her eyes slowly. The sunlight shining in through the windows was making her eyes sore. She lifted an arm to block it.
Then, she suddenly remembered something. She turned around, only to find a man on the couch. A magazine lay flat on his stomach. He was still fast asleep.
Rosalie opened her mouth to wake Theodore up, but upon seeing how deep asleep he was, she fell silent. She flipped to her side and simply looked at him, feeling as though an entire lifetime had passed between them.
Why did Theodore do what he did?
He was Aurora's man, but he stayed the night here with her. What was going on? If Aurora found out, trouble would come her way again.
Rosalie threw off the sheets, got out of bed, and headed to the washroom. She tried to be as quiet as possible so she wouldn't wake Theodore up.
Despite her efforts, her footsteps still woke Theodore up even before she reached the door of the washroom.
He opened his eyes. Upon seeing Rosalie out of bed, and immediately sat up on the couch.
"You're up. How do you feel?" he asked.
Rosalie still didn't look too good, but at least she seemed better than yesterday.
"I'm fine," she said. "Thanks for staying with me through the night. Go get some breakfast and head back for some proper rest.
He probably didn't get much sleep last night.NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
With that, Rosalie entered the washroom.
Theodore sighed.
When Rosalie was done washing up and left the washroom, she realized that Theodore was gone.
She smirked.
Good that he was gone. He should have left long ago.
Rosalie returned to the bed and laid back down, staring blankly at the ceiling.
She felt exhausted. Why were so many things happening? It had barely been a year.
She knew that as time passed, everything would be history and not even worthy of mention. But when looking at the world from her own micro-perspective, she also realized that sometimes, love, grudges, and hatred that tore at one's heart weren't possible to get over.
Could she ever have peace in this life?
Aurora woke up very early.
She felt dizzy and wanted to take a stroll in the hospital, so she left her ward. As she walked, she found herself near Rosalie's ward.
It wasn't unintentional, but a deliberate move.
