Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties

Chapter 18

Chapter 18

A SHIP!!!

“At last we did it.”

Damien sighed. Joy flushed his face. He was proud of himself. Of course it was a thing to be proud of. Even though it took extra two days to complete the mansion, yet it was a thing to be proud of.

He made sure to build a fire place in the sitting room. He built a water dispenser also, and made his kitchen as trendy as he could. He was lucky to find three foam boards when he strolled to the sea a day before yesterday after the tiring work. He had seen something interesting and followed the track, but then eventually got nearer to the ocean. Since he was close to the ocean, he’d decided to feel its coziness and awe its majestic gaits. He also noticed that the reefs were swelling, and if the girls were to make a rescue sign, they would need more of physical strength to move the reefs and some consumables which were difficult to be decomposed by the sea.

He shook his head. He couldn’t believe that he was still worried about the girls. He had more things to worry about. He hadn’t built the watchtower yet. He remembered the conditions.

Though the conditions wasn’t really why he wanted to build it. He needed a watchtower to see what was going on around him. He needed to be alert at all times. If the balls of red gold of the cannibals were really valuable, it’s a matter of time before men would find out and make their way there. He had to plan and prepare for such a day if it ever came. Also, having a watchtower would also grant him a chance to see the ocean view from wherever he was.

He had planned to construct the watchtower at the top of three connecting high trees. It would be quite a strenuous job, but it would be useful at the end of the day. After all, all good things do have a speck of trouble which discourages. He of all people, knew that best. (Ping! Constructed a castle out of ruins and gained 30000 experience points.) “Woah… what the fuck!! Thirty thousand!”

Damien screamed on top of his voice. It felt really ridiculous to him how he could had made so much points at one time.

He flipped the window out and saw several other skills he had unlocked. He couldn’t find any features yet. He started to exchange as many points as possible for whatever skill the tip of his index finger tapped.

He got tired of exchanging. He tapped on one more skill called the STURDY CEDAR skill. Obtaining it, he felt a sudden surge travel through his body.

(Ping! System notification: Host has claimed the Sturdy cedar skill. Hint: Unusual strength which lasts for three minutes and can be refilled every three hours has been activated.] NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.

“Unusual strength.”

Damien smiled to himself.

“Who are you talking to?”

Damien fixed his expression before turning to Allison. It was just yesterday that she started to come back to life. She was becoming her old self gradually.

“To myself?”

Damien defended. She smiled. Her smile was beautiful, but not compared to Ayisha’s. He couldn’t believe that he’d just thought about Ayisha again.

“You amaze me. To think that a man singlehandedly built something so huge as this. I don’t know what to say.”

“Maybe don’t say anything.”

He dismissed. Damien couldn’t help but recall what she had done to him in the past. She was the coldest of the girls. Unlike Claire, she had really subtle and cunny ways to make you feel miserable.

“Damien, I’m sorry for all I’ve done to you.”

Damien was shocked. She was like the only person who had said that to him. Genuinely. Other girls he had come in contact with, only gave things in exchange for his favor.

Hearing that also made him uneasy. He wasn’t used to it. He was only used to being derided and been made fun off. There probably were a million things he would have to get used to.

“Why are you sorry?” He quizzed. She twitched the corners of face into pimples.

“Do people really ask that question.”

“If you don’t have a reason to be sorry, don’t say it.”

He walked away from her. She hurried to him and grabbed his left shoulder. He shook himself free, taking a step back. She was moved by that reaction.

“Don’t push it any further. Let’s go eat something. At night, we would celebrate the construction of this castle.”

He forced a smile then kept walking. She caught up and walked side by side. As they walked on, she kept her gaze on him. He could feel her bulky eyes scorching his cheek.

If there was one thing that he had noticed, dealing with the girls. It was that if he wanted to get their attention, he should be cold to them.

Throwing himself at Ayisha really taught him quite the lessons. But now he would play it wisely. After all it was a game with cunny rules.

Plus there were other reasons to be cold to this one. She deserved every cold treatment. But he won’t starve her of shelter, warmth and food. He refused to be that petty.

He stopped thinking about her. He needed to concentrate on the next big thing. Building a watchtower. He remembered that the system promised him a hidden task if he could build it in two days’ time.

THE

At the beach, the eight girls were busy moving the reefs. They had successfully tied a small flat plan to the top of a long pole to create an SOS sign. All they had to do was find a place to plant

it.

After several unsuccessful attempts, they stopped trying and sat on the shore. The sun was up and high, burning against their delicate skins. “We can’t even get a single thing done.” “Neither can we provide a good meal for ourselves.” “Can we just admit that we are spoilt brats who aren’t tough enough for this situation?” Mira stood up suddenly and walked to stand at the front of the girls. Her back to the ocean.

“Listen girls. It’s a fact that we haven’t been able to do anything tangible since four days now. But the truth is, we wouldn’t be able to do anything if we continue with this attitude. We have to be intentional about this survival thing.”

“Didn’t you also say that we can’t survive without Damien?” Laurette attacked Mira. Sisterly bond was thinner at the face of hardship’s scorching flames “Yes, maybe I was wrong. Maybe not. But now, if we really want to survive, we must believe we can. We must. Else we are not different from kids struggling

to catch a fallen crumb. We already found ourselves a safe cave and the cannibals are not in sight anymore. So, we got this. Let’s do it!” “Yes!! Let’s do it!!!”

The girls chorused more determinedly. “Let’s prove to that loser that we can survive without him!” Claire gritted her teeth. Some of the girls chuckled. “Sometimes, I really do think that you have feelings for him.” Mira shot at Claire whose eyes widened. “Damien? Over my dead body. He’s not even my type. I’ve never even being on good terms with him let alone –”

“I bet you’ll kiss his soft thick lips.” Jada bit her lower lips, seeking trouble. Claire gagged at the thought of it, shrugging her shoulder.

“Ew… kiss??? Are you really insulting me? Kiss that piece of trash. I’m certain that he’s up to no good. He has some skeleton in his cupb–” “A ship!!!”

Ayisha interrupted suddenly.

“What?”

Claire quizzed. The girls looked at Ayisha and then traced her eyes to the far end of the ocean.

Towards the horizon.

“A ship!!!”

The all screamed and jumped on their feet.

“Help…! Help!!”

They started screaming, jumping… doing all they could to gain attention.
