Chapter 4
Chapter 4
A startling discovery
The deep growl and approaching paws of the wild animal suddenly waned out. After a few seconds of silence, a struggle was heard in the pilot’s cave: like something was fighting for survival. Then after the struggle followed whimpering and then a thud. The system came on.
[Ping! Trapped down a cougar and gained 600 experience points.]
Damien gently slid his palm off her mouth.
“Is it gone? What happened to it?”
Ayisha asked in a whisper.
“Return to sleep. We are safe now.”
He urged her. He didn’t want to tell her what secret he had for her. He wanted her to see for herself come morrow. He wouldn’t risk ruining the surprise.
He’s kinda worried that she might also figure out his situation. No way she didn’t notice it, right? But she didn’t say a word. Damien didn’t know that if he should feel relief or disappointment.
“Tomorrow will be here soon. You don’t have to be scared, I’m here.”
He promised but there was no sound from her.
“Did she sleep already?”
He wanted to turn her to face himself but he decided not to. He remembered what happened earlier. He didn’t want such embarrassment again. And by the way, he could get caught this time.
“Damien… Damien…”
The gentle but demanding call came again and again. Then there was the gentle shaking of his arms. He slowly opened his eyes.
Ayisha was leaning towards him, she had changed into a bikini. Damien vision became extraordinarily sharp at that sight. He pushed his frame up to seat up. He traced down her neck to her titties. They seem fuller than he’d thought they were. He couldn’t but fantasize about putting his mouth to her nipples.
“The wild cat. It died. Did you know that it would come?”
Ayisha obviously didn’t know what was going through his mind. Damien knocked himself back to the present.
“Oh, you saw it. Yea, I made a trap yesterday. I figured out that something like that was bound to happen. So, I took the preventive measures to avoid trouble.”
She looked really impressed. She smiled sheepishly at him. It felt like Damien was floating in the air. He tried to be manly.
“Where are you going all changed?”
Ayisha looked down at herself, getting what he meant.
“Oh, this. I woke up a little early because of yesterday’s trouble. I was quite sleepless overnight. But I didn’t want to wake you, so I wanted to go take a bath in the ocean.”
Damien realized that he was mistaking about her. He’d thought that she was the scared to the pants type. Giving by what happened overnight, she should be asking him to go with her, but she wanted to go the ocean alone. That made him like her more.
“Okay. Be careful out there. Take this.”
He dipped his fingers in his back pocket and brought out a whistle.
“Blow on it, when you see anything strange. I’ll be there in a second. Stay safe out there.”
“Thank you, Damien.”
She leaned forward and hugged him. He was slow! He couldn’t get the best of the hug. Well, he didn’t see it coming in the first place.
He watched her walk away. His eyes tracing her fine ass.
HOW LUCKY THE PANTIES ARE, ENJOYING IT ALL.
What a crazy thought to nurse. He suddenly realized that there was a lot to do that day. It was the second day of being on the uninhibited island? uninhibited? He wasn’t sure yet.
He rushed to the pilot’s cave and saw the dead cougar.
THIS SOLVES A GREAT PROBLEM. WE WON’T HAVE TO CONTINUALLY EAT COCONUT. THIS MEAT WILL DO. AT LEAST FOR THE TIME BEING.
He helped the carcass off the sharp cut from the jet which had driven through its belly, guts out. That made the job easier. He wouldn’t have to go through the stress of cutting it open.
“Let’s see. How many experience points do I have now?”
The system window popped up,

He was tempted to exchange points for skills to prepare the meat sumptuously. But he knew that there were still a lot to do if he would survive on that island. He still had to build a house, a watchtower etc. The jet can’t keep being their hideout. It can’t hold them in for long.
He walked back into the jet to retrieve the lighter. He wandered off into the woods to gather as many dried woods as possible.
On his search, he suddenly tripped over a large trunk which had been camouflaged as earth.
“Oh shit.”
He cussed, standing up. And when he looked up, he saw a plain.
“How strange. Such a place in a forest.”
He gaped, walking closer. The plain was disguised and people could hardly see it. It was hide away perfectly. If he hadn’t tripped, he wouldn’t had found it out.
He wanted to walk into it but then had a change of mind. He threw one of the woods he’d picked into the centre. Suddenly, traps grew out of the earth.
“Woah, I could had just died!”
Fear chilled through his spines. But instead of dwelling on the ugly feeling, he had a better idea.
“This place will be useful. It’ll be.”
He turned to leave not certain of what he would do with the newly found space. But one thing was for sure which he couldn’t deny…
THERE WERE OTHER HUMANOID CREATURES ON THE ISLAND. THEY WEREN’T ALONE. OBVIOUSLY SOMEONE SET THOSE TRAPS!
He got to the jet and assembled the twigs. He found few stones to support the dead animal. He knew that putting the flames of the lighter to the twig alone would be futile.
He looked around and noticed dried weeds growing off the green ones at the foot of a neighboring hickory tree. He plucked the dried weeds and put them in the twigs.
The fragile flame glowed weakly. Turning the twigs here and there helped the flame and it became strong and fierce.
[Ping! Made fire out of nothing and gained 100 experience points.]
The experience point he gained on the fire making helped him keep the fire going till he was able to finish the roasting. He cut out some part and prepared them for Brunch.
Ayisha returned from the beach, looking more beautifully. Twas just point in time.
“Hey, you prepared the meal already?”
She joined him, seating opposite him. He handed her her portion and they started eating.
“Did you see anything strange outside there during bathing?”
She shook her head.
“Couldn’t find the other girls. Do you think they all died?”
“That’s hard to tell. But since we are alive, they should be somewhere out there too. It’s just a matter of time before they find us.”
She was silent for another while then added.
“They’ll come with trouble. They’ll make things worse. I’m worried. Claire and Lisa don’t go easy on you.”
DON’T GO EASY ON ME? LET’S SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO NOW.
He thought. On the physical, he smiled instead.
“Let’s worry about the present. There’s still a lot of work to do.”
A sudden movement came from behind a tree not far from the jet, their position.
“What was that?”
Ayisha was very concerned. She could tell that she heard something just run away.
“Whatever it is is probably scared. But don’t worry, as far as I know we are safe.”
He loved the fact that she never doubted him nor questioned his promises. That made him even fond of her. He wanted to kiss her at that moment.
And on the other hand, why should he be scared? The revolver was always not far from his reach: in his back pocket.
