Chapter 21
Chapter 21

I walked quite a long distance while Velma led me. Just how big was that house? From the room where
I remained locked up to Anthonio's room was such a distance.
At a point, we finally stopped and to my surprise, Velma took my blindfold off. I was in front of a huge
door. I didn't bother looking around because there was darkness. I couldn't even make out Velma's face
is dark. I just knew I was in a hallway, in front of one of the doors.
"Enter..." Velma whispered. I took a deep breath and knocked.
"Come in, Velma." I heard Anthonio reply.
Slowly, I opened the door and went in. His room wasn't at all like mine. It was huge and beautiful. The
bed was as large as mine though. There was a TV with cable, and a balcony, and the windows were
exactly where they ought to be. Unlike my room which looked more like a VIP prison cell.
I closed the door behind me and turned to where he was. He was backing me, shirtless and looking at Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
his reflection in a mirror. He didn't see me. But when I looked in the mirror to see what he was doing,
shock took over me. br He had a pair of medical sharp scissors in his hand. I watched with horror as he
dug the pair of scissors deep into the wound in his shoulder. He closed his eyes, trying to support the
pain. Blood just kept oozing out!
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I screamed in shock. Surprised, Anthonio turned to me angrily.
"What are you doing here??" he growled.
"Stop! That's dangerous!" I screamed and tried to approach him but he took a gun from his table and
pointed it at me.
"Don't move!" he groaned out in pain as he sent the scissors further into his wound. I screamed for him
to stop but he ignored me. br I watched with horror as he pulled the bullet out of his wound with the pair
of scissors before letting both bloody objects drop on the floor. His gun dropped too.
"Are you mad?!" I panicked and ran towards him. My first reaction was to try and stop the oozing blood
with my nightgown. br "What the hell is wrong with you?" I couldn't believe he was this sick. br "Come
here!" I ordered courageously, not caring about the fact that he might hurt or kill me.
I pulled him along and made him sit. His eyes were bloody red and I could tell he was in great pain. He
was strong but still human. If I had been shot, I'd cry to death! He didn't cry nor did he show any
emotion that he was in pain. He just stared at me, red-eyed. br I took cotton and soaked it in alcohol. I
was about to clean his wound when he caught my wrist. I looked him straight in the eyes.
"What's that?" he asked in a deep voice.
"Cotton soaked in alcohol," I replied.
He eyed the cotton as if I'd soaked it in poison.
"Don't touch me with that."
I didn't understand him.
"D...do you think I'm trying to poison you?" I asked, annoyed. He stared silently.
"Think twice. Why would I take that risk? Huh? Now allow me."
Without further ado, I cleaned the wound. It was deep. He closed his eyes and I knew he was in terrible
pain. br I took my time and cleaned his wound. I got the needle and thread on the tray. Gathering all
possible courage, I began to sow the wound. He didn't move throughout but just kept his eyes tightly
shut. br After that, I wrapped his shoulder tight so blood would stop oozing out. br After about thirty
minutes, I was done.
"There. I'm sure you feel better." I said after cleaning my hands "Avoid moving that arm too much."
I didn't expect a reply or thank you and so I turned to leave. I was halfway across the room when he
grabbed my arm. I turned, surprised. He was taller than me. I stared into his odd kind of blue eyes. So
bright. I'd never stared into them for that long. My heartbeat increased wildly as I was stuck in between
fear, surprise, and wonder.
"Thank you." his firm sentence got me out of my thoughts. br I blinked in confusion and stared at him,
lost.
"W...what?"
"You heard," he replied as coldly as usual before letting go of my arm. I couldn't believe my ears.
"Uh...uh you're...welcome..."
There was suddenly a knock at the door and Velma came in and proposed to take me back to my
room.
"Velma," Anthonio called firmly. I turned to him immediately.
"It's not her fault! I...I'm the one who insisted to come to help you. If you have to scold or punish
anyone, then let it be me." I stammered. He completely ignored me and continued to talk to Velma.
"It should be the last time she leaves that room under any stupid pretext. Do I make myself clear?" he
asked, more than seriously.
"Y..yes sir..." Velma stammered, coming over to blindfold me.
"G...goodnight Anthonio." I quickly said while Velma blindfolded me. As expected, he didn't reply and I
was led out of the room.
