Chapter 22
Unice’s PoV
When I was completed getting dressed, I exited my room and went to the living room, where I rearranged the items that had become jumbled. There was also trash they left behind; I only saw three bottles of wine they used; it appears that Ace didn’t drink much because he was forced to.
When I finished dumping all of their garbage in the middle, I went to the kitchen to get a large plastic bag. Still, as I left the kitchen, I noticed a police officer outside, and I became terrified. What brings them here? Did they discover Ace’s whereabouts?
But I was even more surprised when I saw Rence’s mother get out of the car, so I prepared myself, hoping Ace wouldn’t come out so I could defend him. The cops looked at me when I walked out, and Rence’s mother approached me right away.
“Tell me, Unice, what happened to Rence! I saw where his phone is near this location!” Rence mother said to me, and I slowly removed her hand from my shoulder.
“Yes, Rence came here and tried to get back at me, but I rejected him; I’m not sure what happened next,” I explained, and Rence’s mother pondered it.
“Perhaps your son committed suicide, madam,” the cops told Rence’s mother.
“I’m sorry, Unice, if you were hurt; I, too, had no idea what was going on with my son,” Rence mother explained.
“Rence also doesn’t understand me; I told him to go home, and I’m not going back to him no matter what,” I explained to Rence mother.
“I’ll give you my phone number in case you find out and run into him again,” the police said, handing me a piece of paper with his phone number written on it.
With the speed of my heartbeat now, I know Ace is watching because there is CCTV here right in front of his house’s exit; I turned around to go back inside. When I saw Ace come out, he smiled at me.
“Where did you bury Rence?” I inquired Ace.
“Far away where no one can find him, I purposely leave his phone near our house,” Ace said, looking at the paper I was holding.
“What’s in your hand?” Ace inquired, and I quickly hid it.
“I just picked up trash outside,” I explained to Ace, and his expression changed abruptly.
“I don’t like it when people hide from me; do you want to be hurt again?” I backed away when Ace asked.
“Hurt me if you can; now that I’ve had sex with you, I’m sure you’re obsessed with me, and you can’t hurt me,” I told Ace, and I smirk.
“Even if I won’t hurt you, I can punish you with the BDSM items I have,” Ace said, surprising me.
I couldn’t move, and Ace suddenly grabbed my chin, and he was about to kiss me when I blocked him with the small piece of paper I was holding.
“The cops just gave me Rence’s mother number and said I’d call her when I found out about what you did,” I explained to Ace, and he took the paper I was holding.
“Do you understand that when they come back here, I’ll finish them?” Ace said to me, and all I did was nod.
“Good girl,” Ace said to me as he kissed me on the lips and left.
I don’t understand Ace’s emotions sometimes; he’s such a psycho and obsessed with me that I’m not sure if he feels love for me or if he genuinely wants me as I am; it appears that he only wants sex with me and that’s all that will satisfy him.
I took a deep breath and went to the living room to continue what I was doing cleaning up their clutter; when I finished putting the mess in the big plastic bag, I went outside to put it in the trash can that is located outside the house.
I went over to the side where there was a tree and looked at it. It’s good that it grew up healthy, I noticed a grave on my side that it was alone in, so I approached it, and my eyes widened when I read the name there.
Ace Shelton
2016-2022
He will be remember
I’m curious why Ace has a grave here, and what makes me curious is that 2022 is listed when he assumes his death. I’m not sure what happened, but why did he put 2022 here? Does that mean something happened in 2022? Perhaps this is what he hasn’t told me.
I went back inside and wondered if I should talk to Ace about it or not because he also didn’t say anything when I asked him, I know it’s difficult to say what had happened in the past, but I just wanted to know.
I’m also willing to talk about what happened to my real family because what happened to my family was very traumatic for me. Our house caught fire, and while Dad saved me, he did not survive because the fire was burning behind him, and his life was in danger.
Mom died because she took me to the cabinet where I was hiding and handed me over to dad; I was surprised when tears welled up in my eyes. I remember what happened that day, but I don’t want to remember it, and when Ace learns that my family died in this manner, perhaps he will understand as well.
I was afraid of fire, so when I saw it burning, I was terrified, as it had happened before at the orphanage where I was staying.
Flashback
“Sister Unice is paralyzed!” I heard my friend say, but I couldn’t move because of the fire in front of me.
“Please assist Unice! Please hurry!” Sister yelled, and I felt her lift me and support my head.
I remember mom smiling at me as she said goodbye, and dad telling me, ‘everything will be fine, be strong, and train yourself to be alone and live.’ My tears dripped.
“Unice, don’t worry, don’t think about what happened before,” Sister said as she hugged me while I cried.
I also recall seeing Mom’s entire body covered in blood and burning in the fire; I hugged my sister while crying and didn’t know what to do.
“I miss my mom and dad so much! I wish I had died instead of them,” I said this while feeling my sister caress my back.
“Your life is valuable, so they saved you; you still have a lot to do in the future, so you survived,” Sister Shane explained.
End of Flashback
“Are you all right, Unice?” I heard Ace’s voice and looked at him, not realizing I was sitting on the floor. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.
I wiped my eyes because I was crying, and Ace suddenly touched my cheek and looked at me.
“I just remember my family,” I explained, and Ace sat down in front of me, ready to listen.
“I’ll listen to your story, and when you’re done, maybe I’ll tell you about myself,” Ace said, his smile was forced.
“I’ll tell you so that I won’t remember it in the next few days, but what happened to my family was very traumatic for me,” I said to Ace, looking at my hands.
“My house burned down, but my mom and dad saved me; dad was taken to the hospital, and his life was in danger,” I explained to Ace.
“I didn’t know it was his last day, and he even talked to me before he disappeared. He told me to be strong and live long,” I said, and as I was stuttering by what I was saying, Ace hugged me.
“I understand how you feel about what happened to your family because what happened to mine was so traumatic also,” Ace said as he hugged me.
“What happened?” I inquired Ace.
“They were killed by someone. I saw the man how he killed them, but I did nothing because I was only six years old. And it was because of that traumatic experience that I killed people.” I couldn’t believe it when Ace told me.
“Who did it?” I asked Ace, and he didn’t respond; perhaps he’s not ready to reveal who murdered his family yet, so I’ll have to wait.
I hugged Ace as well because he had previously hugged me.
