Samuel was in the study, and Fawn was lounging in the rooftop garden on the third floor.

Upon spotting Dominic, she stood up, her face lighting up with a wide grin. "What brings you here today? Did your dad ask you to bring Nancy back? That's why you're so excited, huh?"

She picked up a slice of honeydew from the platter in front of her and offered it to

"Mom, I've fallen for someone. You must have figured it out by now, right?" Dominic suddenly said.

Fawn's hand paused in mid-air.

A few moments of silence passed before Fawn nodded and smiled. "I heard your father mention it. He said you and Ms. Gildon are seeing each other. I told him not to spread rumors-she just got divorced, and rumors like that could damage her reputation."

"You're right," Dominic said. "If I care for her and decide to pursue her, I can't just walk away without taking responsibility. So, I'll marry her."

Dominic turned slightly, lowering his head. He picked up a piece of honeydew with his fork and offered it to Fawn. "So, you don't approve?"
