Ex-Husband Goes Money Comes By Yvone Zabielski Chapter 175
Chapter 175 He Bleeds to Protect Her
Why is he here?
And the toast he mentioned happened a long time ago.
He's remembering it very well, Viola thought.
She glanced behind him from the corner of her eye.
Orlando wasn't the only one who came. Todd, Jimmy, Tyler, Toby, and Vincent all came with him.
Viola subconsciously looked up at the railing on the second floor. Jerry was still leaning against the same spot. Although she could not see his expression because of the light, she could sense that he was looking over.
"Miss, I mean no harm. It's just a glass of wine. I don't know why this gentleman would insult me." The man felt wronged at Orlando's scolding and looked at Viola innocently.
"You're right. It's just a glass of wine."
Viola pursed her lips and smiled. Her slender fingers reached out to take the wine in Orlando's hands.
Orlando refused to give it to her. His eyes were dark and his face was full of displeasure.
"Be good, let go. I'll also drink your toast next time," she said in a frivolous tone.
Orlando was instantly cheered up.
Viola got to take back that glass of wine. She gracefully sniffed it, then gently pressed her red lips against the edge of the glass and was about to drink.
The man who gave Viola the wine couldn't hide his excitement when he saw Viola's move.
However, Viola stopped when her lips were about to touch the wine.
"You really want me to drink it, don't you?" she asked, looking at the man with a teasing smile.
That man was stunned and nodded with expectation in his eyes.
The next second, Viola's smiling eyes suddenly turned cold. She splashed the wine on that man's face. "You know what's in it. I guess it tastes good. Have a good drink yourself."
Viola didn't notice it at first. She started to feel wrong because the man said that he came from the booth on the other side, but when Orlando appeared to obstruct him, the man's so-called friends didn't make a move at all. And the man was acting too attentive to Viola.
The man's face and body were covered in wine stains. He got angry. "Just don't drink it if you don't want to. Why are you accusing me? What a bummer!"
He wiped his face and lowered his head, reaching for the tissue in his suit pocket.
Orlando observed the man closely and found his expression cold when he looked down. It was not a good sign.
The man took advantage of the time when Viola wasn't paying attention and suddenly took out a small glass bottle from his pocket. He splashed it viciously at Viola's face.
"Watch out!"
Orlando wrapped Viola in his arms almost instinctively. All the liquid was splashed on the back of Orlando's suit, and soon smoke came out.
"Ah..."
A burning feeling came. Orlando was in so much pain that his eyebrows were tightly furrowed. His face was pale, but his arms were still tightly around Viola, firmly protecting her in his arms.
"Ms. Zumthor, it's sulfuric acid!"
Jimmy shouted in horror.
His words were like a bomb, blowing up the crowd who were dancing on the dance floor, screaming and fleeing in all directions.
The room fell into chaos.
The man who splashed sulfuric acid took advantage of the chaos to run away.
Viola was furious. "Toby, Vincent, go get that insidious bastard back here!"
Then she quickly went to check on Orlando and quickly removed his suit and shirt.
Orlando had only caught a cold last night and was weak. He took two cold pills and did housework in the afternoon. He was exhausted.
Orlando couldn't stand steadily out of pain. He collapsed and rested his chin on Viola's shoulder. He gently hugged her little waist, cold sweat dripping from his forehead. He just let Viola tear off his clothes and throw them away.
Fortunately, the clothes absorbed most of the acid. Only a palm-sized spot on his back skin was penetrated by the acid and burned into a bloody mess. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
However, it was still very painful!
Orlando felt lucky that he was the one injured. If Viola got hurt, he would be heartbroken to death!
In the pain, Orlando raised his eyelids, his eyelashes trembled, and his nose gently sniffed the fragrance of Viola. Only this way could he manage to keep himself awake.
Out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly noticed that Nell, who was also behind Viola, had disappeared!
Orlando instantly signaled Todd with his eyes.
Todd got the point at once and quietly left to find Nell.
Jennifer was nearly run down by the rushing crowd in the center of the dancing floor. She ran back for Viola and saw the bloody wound on Orlando's back when she found them. She was so scared that her little face turned pale.
"Viola, what's going on? How did he get injured so badly?"
Viola had no time to explain. She said, "It's too chaotic here. I can't take care of you. Let's go find Jerry."
Then she asked Jimmy to drive and had Tyler carry Orlando.
Orlando refused when Tyler came to carry him. His black eyes were weak but stubborn. He gritted his teeth and said, Viola, I... I don't want to go out naked."
Viola understood him and ripped Tyler's clothes off.
She used the shirt to wipe off the residual sulfuric acid and blood on Orlando's back, and then carefully wrapped him in the suit.
Tyler folded his arms and felt a chill on his body. He felt a little embarrassed.
It wasn't until Viola called for him that he hurriedly went to carry Orlando out of the Color World.
Toby and Vincent caught that man very quickly. The man was unlucky. He didn't even make it out of the bar.
Viola was about to get in the car when she thought of the man Toby had just caught. She looked at Orlando, who had fainted in pain in the back seat and hesitated for a few seconds with the hand holding the car door.
In the end, she said to Jimmy and Tyler, "Hurry to get him to the nearest hospital."
"What about you, Ms. Zumthor?" asked Jimmy.
"I will come later."
Viola closed the car door and her eyes instantly turned cold, killing intent surging.
When she got back into the Color World, she first went to the bar counter and threw a black gold card on the table.
"Clear out the people. I need your bar. I'll pay for all the bills, and damage, if there is any."
The receptionist was stunned by Viola's sharp eyes. She looked down and saw the black gold card. She didn't expect to see it with her own eyes because she had only seen this kind of card on TV. She quickly reported it to her boss.
Her boss instantly agreed.
The man was kneeling on the dance floor under the pressure of Toby and Vincent, struggling and shouting.
Viola walked over, picked up the empty wine bottle next to her, and slammed it against the edge of the table. The bottle shattered, making a sharp sound.
Viola held the broken, sharp half of the bottle walking toward him with a horrifying look on her face. That man instantly withered when he saw that.
"What do you want to do? You... Ouch!"
There was a shrill scream.
Half of the man's face was cut by the broken wine bottle. His face immediately became a mass of blood, and the pain in his eyeballs made him look ghastly.
Viola's cold eyes were cruel. She pressed the broken tip of the bottle against the man's neck and said in a cold voice, "Who sent you here?"
He must have planned this beforehand, otherwise, he wouldn't have carried the acid around.
The man endured the pain and refused to say a word.
"Did this hand do it?" Viola looked at the man's right arm expressionlessly.
Toby and Vincent got her point and pressed the man down. His leather shoes stepped on his intact half face and forcefully pulled out his right hand and pressed it to the ground.
Viola slowly squatted down. Her eyes suddenly turned fierce as she stabbed the wine bottle into the man's hand.
A heart-wrenching scream broke through the sky.
The staff of the bar trembled in fear and huddled together.
"It doesn't matter if you don't tell me. I won't kill you. I have a hundred ways to torture you until you open your mouth," Viola said coldly.
As soon as she finished speaking, she held firmly the bottle stabbed into the man's hand and twisted it.
"Ouch!"
The man was in so much pain that his entire body spasmed, and he almost fainted on the spot several times.
"The next one will be your left hand. And if you don't tell me now, then go to your right foot and left foot. You really should think carefully!"
The man was forced to take out his left hand.
Viola's eyes were fierce, but just as she was about to pierce his skin, someone grabbed her wrist from behind.
