Falling For My Mysterious Wife

Falling For My Mysterious Wife By Cassidy Alfaro Free Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Elaina and Saul seemed to enjoy their chat. Elaina found Saul quite interesting. And she didn’t hate the latter.

As the dinner party ended, Elaina left with Theodore. Before leaving, Saul said to Elaina with a reluctant expression, “Dr. Gainsford. Goodbye.”

“Goodbye.” Elaina waved at Saul, then she got into the car and left.

Only when the car disappeared in the dark did Saul stop smiling. He reached out and rubbed his cheek to restore his numb facial muscles to normal.

He turned around and saw Jalen standing behind him. He was surprised.

“Jalen, it’s late at night. I’m scared of you,” he said unhappily and took a few steps back.

After all, he couldn’t beat the man in front of him.

Jalen stared at him with a dark expression. “Don’t involve unrelated people in our matters.”

Saul smiled, rubbed his ears, and asked in disbelief, “What did you say? Did I hear it wrong? You care about a woman?”

“Saul, I didn’t care about your childish behavior in the past, but it doesn’t mean that I won’t do anything to you,” Jalen said in a deep voice. In these years, Saul had caused a lot of trouble for him.

Jalen did not want to blame Saul for that. After all, Saul was also one of the victims in that incident.

But there was a limit to Jalen’s patience.

Jalen’s words made Saul’s expression ugly. Saul said, “What? What are you talking about? I won repeatedly just because you didn’t do anything to me?” NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

“What do you think?” Jalen looked at Saul as if he was looking at an idiot.

Saul was successfully angered by Jalen. He pointed at Jalen and said, “Jalen, stop pretending. Do you think

you are good? Kill me if you are.

“Otherwise, I will kill you and the entire Halton family someday.”

After Saul finished speaking, Jalen said indifferently with disdain on his face, “Is that so? I’m afraid you can’t.”

“You’ll see if I can.”

Saul turned around in anger. He had just taken two steps when he turned back to Jalen and said, “By the way,

are you interested in Dr. Gainsford?”

Jalen answered, “No.”

“No?” Saul smiled coldly. “Is that so? Good. I’m going to make her my girlfriend. What do you think about

that?”

After that, Saul felt that the atmosphere became strange quickly, but he laughed even more happily.

“Up to you,” after a while, Jalen finally spoke. He did not say anything more to Saul and got up to leave.

Saul looked at Jalen’s back. His hands clenched into fists, and he said with gritted teeth, “Up to me? I want to see if you pretend that you don’t care.”

In Theodore’s car…

Elaina rubbed the space between her eyebrows. She was a little tired. It seemed that attending a banquet was not suitable for her.

“How did you meet Saul?” Theodore, who was driving, suddenly asked. His expression was not very good.

“We met at the banquet just now,” Elaina replied. And then she asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. It’s just that he has a strange character. You should stay away from him,” Theodore said with a

frown.

Elaina nodded. She did not plan to have much to do with Saul.

“The Judson family had bad days in the past few years. After seeing that they were about to go bankrupt,

Saul suddenly killed his father and successfully ascended the throne. Then, the Judson family developed into

what it is today,” Theodore continued to speak because he was afraid that Elaina would not take it seriously.

Today, the Judson family could be considered a great force in New York and was only inferior to the Halton

family. It shouldn’t be underestimated.

“He killed his father?” Elaina showed a lot of disbelief.

“It is said to be so. It’s probably true,” Theodore replied. And he continued, “He is very dangerous. He is not as

simple as he looks on the surface.”

Elaina nodded to show that she understood.

Not long after, the car stopped at the entrance of the community. Elaina and Theodore waved goodbye. It was

not until the car disappeared that Elaina walked to the convenience store across the street. She bought some

food and walked back.

To Elaina’s surprise, Jalen was standing in front of the elevator, as if he was waiting for her.

Elaina shook her head. She thought that it should be a coincidence because Jalen also lived here.

She walked over and did not look at Jalen while ignoring the latter.

But Jalen did not seem to intend to do so. From the moment Elaina appeared, Jalen’s gaze had never left her.

That deep and direct gaze made Elaina uncomfortable. Elaina was just about to ask Jalen, but Jalen spoke

first.

“Do you accept all the other men except me?” Jalen’s voice was indifferent, and it sounded emotionless.
