Chapter 629 The Man In The Picture
Tobias didn't want to get involved, for it was what Sheldon deserved after promising Winnie the moon.
Hence, he simply nodded in acknowledgment. In the past, he would remind Sheldon to not stay up too
late.
However, he soon realized that it was futile to do so because Sheldon would come back in the morning
instead.
Worried about Judy, Sheldon requested, “Tobias, can you send her home? She has had too much to
drink, and it's hard to get a cab at this hour.”
At that moment, Judy was leaning against the wall, as that was the only thing she could do to steady
herself.
Tobias approached her and asked in a deep voice, “Can you still walk?”
“Not only can I walk, but I can also jump and spin on my feet.” Judy burped as she stumbled toward
Tobias.
After calmly staring at her, he added, “Give me your address. I'll send you home.”
Before she could reply, Judy covered her mouth while retching twice. She then fiddled with her phone
and found her address. “Just drop me off here.”
Tobias snorted. “You are a truly experienced party girl. You even have your address ready for times like
this.”
Tilting her head at Tobias, Judy broke out a drunken smile. “That's because I've been partying since I
was a teenager.”
Despite being drunk, she listened intently to Tobias' deep voice.
Since Tobias couldn't drive after consuming alcohol, he called for his driver to pick him up. While both
of them were waiting by the roadside, Judy squatted down with a cigarette between her fingers. Due to
how hot the bar was, her makeup had already melted, causing her heavy mascara to smear.
Consequently, her face looked dirty with black rings around her eyes, similar to a panda. This content © Nôv/elDr(a)m/a.Org.
Finally, a Porsche pulled up in front of the bar. The moment Judy saw it, she sprang to her feet in
excitement. After taking a puff from her cigarette, she looked at Tobias admiringly. “I have never ridden
in such an expensive car before. Can I ride in it more often in the future?”
Tobias was standing tall right beside the car.
The neighborhood that Judy stayed in was an old one. In fact, the driver had to drive around for a long
time before locating the entrance. After entering the neighborhood, they saw both sides of the road
filled with garbage. In fact, they could even smell the stench from inside the car.
When the car finally stopped in front of her apartment building, Judy felt reluctant to leave as she ran
her hand over the leather car seat.
Meanwhile, Pete would sneak an intermittent glance in the rearview mirror at the girl. Instinctively, he
would make comparisons between Judy and Skylar. What's wrong with Mr. Ford's taste? Has he grown
bored of the pretty Skylar that he chooses to go out with this skank?
“Do you want to come up and have a seat? Since you sent me home, the least I can do is offer you a
drink.”
Tobias gave her the side-eye. “You should head back up, as I'm in a rush.”
Suddenly, Judy's smile widened. This was the first time she took the initiative to invite someone up but
didn't expect to be rejected. Nevertheless, she remembered Sheldon telling her that Tobias was
attached. What a shame for such a perfect specimen to have been taken!
Judy took out her pink wallet and pulled two red notes out of it. When she handed it over, she pinched
her wallet in between her fingers.
Suddenly, Tobias grabbed her wrist. Now that she had sobered up significantly, she thought Tobias had
changed his mind. Just as I thought, once the mind games between guys and gals are set aside,
nature will be allowed to take its course.
Just when she wanted to invite him up, Tobias' attention remained fixated on the picture in her wallet.
After taking it from her hands, he took a closer look at the picture and saw a girl in school uniform
standing beside a middle-aged man in a suit.
When Judy noticed how intently he was staring at the picture of her and her dad, she asked him
curiously, “Do you think I'm prettier in my school uniform or now?”
In spite of that, Tobias' attention remained focused on the picture. “What's your relationship with the
man in the picture?”
