With one hand in his pocket, Sheldon headed over to the café in the office building with Skylar and
ordered two cups of hot chocolate.
Tobias often ordered a black coffee to stay energized at work, so it wasn't uncommon for him to have
four to five cups a day. On top of that, he insisted on having his coffee without any milk or sugar.
Sheldon, on the other hand, added two cubes of sugar to his hot chocolate as he loved his beverages
sweet.
“Man, Tobias sure has been busy with work lately. It's been quite a while since I last saw him.”
That was when Skylar realized that Sheldon was quite dependent on Tobias. He rebelled once after
being pressured too much, but didn't manage to achieve any success on his own. In the end, Sheldon

“I haven't seen him in a while too. I wonder when he'll be back. Do you think this incident is serious?”

“You severely underestimate Ford Group's power and influence. How hard can it be for us to deal with
a few deaths?” Sheldon replied with a smile.
His casual attitude when talking about the deaths of those employees matched that of Tobias' perfectly.
It was as if the two of them didn't value human lives in the slightest.
“Is that girl a friend of yours?” Skylar asked as she recalled Judy's cold attitude from earlier.
Hmm, I wonder if I offended her in any way. After all, people tend to at least show some basic courtesy
when dealing with strangers.
“I only befriended her a while back. We hang out pretty often. She started working in a nightclub before
she even turned twenty,” Sheldon replied.
Not wanting to comment much on his choice of friends, Skylar ended the conversation with him shortly
after and decided to go see Kate.
“You'd better pick up the pace. Mom seems eager to have a grandchild lately, and it has to be a boy
too. She won't be satisfied with having a granddaughter. Now that she has finally accepted you, you
should try your best to conceive a son as soon as possible to secure your position in this household,”
Sheldon reminded her as she stood up.
Skylar froze upon hearing that. Why is Claudia so obsessed with this? That woman never takes no for
an answer!
“It takes two to tango. I can't just get pregnant on my own, you know? Besides, I'm still building my
career here. Motion Picture Association might ban me for being a bad influence on the youth if I get
pregnant before marriage!” she said.
Sheldon twiddled his fingers as he continued, “I'm sure you're well aware that there are tons of women
out there who are more than willing to bear Tobias' child. If I were you, I'd poke holes in his condoms
and get myself pregnant as soon as possible. Once you get pregnant, there's no way Tobias will have
you abort the baby!”
Skylar highly doubted his statement, especially after the two occasions when she thought she was
pregnant. Tobias' attitude had been very cold on both occasions. Although he never asked her to go for
an abortion, she could tell he didn't want her to keep the baby either.
Sheldon breathed a sigh of relief after ending the conversation with her. Mom will finally stop nagging at
me once Skylar gets pregnant!
