With that, the bald guy threw another punch. Liam was barely hanging on, gasping for more air than he was getting.

Finally, Peyton caught on to what was happening. Henrik was here to settle the score for Cecelia. Her head was throbbing from all the bowing and pleading: "Mr. Raul, please, I'm begging you, spare us. We did raise Cecelia, after all!" Henrik remained unfazed, only speaking when Liam was nearly out cold.

He fished out a document from his pocket. "Give this to him."

The bald guy quickly handed it to Liam. Liam, bloodied and barely able to see through the red haze, struggled to make out the words.

Signing it meant he'd have nothing to do with Cecelia ever again.

He'd raised Cecelia all these years, and now that she was earning money, they wanted him to cut all ties? Ridiculous!

Henrik wasn't about to argue. He gestured, and the bald guy's knuckles cracked menacingly.

Liam, trembling with fear, caved in: "Okay, okay, I'll sign!"

Even with the signature, he figured he could still find Cecelia. After all those years, a piece of paper couldn't just erase everything.

Henrik knew what Liam was thinking. He wasn't counting on the paper to do anything.

Liam was already too scared to utter a word, his lips trembling.

"Mr. Raul, you can head back," the bald guy said, eager to please. "We'll wrap things up here. Don't worry, I know how to handle it."

Henrik nodded, striding out the door.

Just then, the wailing of sirens filled the air.

Liam felt a surge of joy! With the police here, Henrik's arrogance would finally meet its end! After the damage he'd caused, surely Henrik would have to pay him millions! And maybe the bald guy and his crew would get locked up, saving Liam from his debts!

Liam's excitement bubbled over, and he hollered, "Officers, over here, I'm right here!"

Despite his age, he shamelessly called out to them like a child.

"Henrik, you're done for! The cops are here!" he taunted with a grin. Henrik turned and looked at him, saying nothing.

The bald guy shot Liam a pitying look. Henrik was the CEO of Florik Entertainment, and he thought Henrik was finished?

He had no clue who'd really be finished when this was over.

The bald guy had always been wary

of the police, given his shady dealings. But with Henrik backing him, he wasn't worried anymore, watching Liam dig his own grave with casual ease.
