Chapter 1462
Would you really hand it over to a transfer student instead of him? Seriously?
Nash leaned against the wall, arms crossed, looking as stormy as a thundercloud. "Hey, Nash..."noveldrama
A guy nervously opened his bag of chips and held it out to Nash. "Want some?"
Nash shot him a frosty glare. What was that supposed to mean? Was he trying to flaunt the fact that Fiona had given him those chips?
Nash's stare was so intense that the guy nearly dropped the chips out of sheer panic.
What was Nash's deal?! The guy hadn't done anything to tick him off, so why was he so mad?

The second period was study hall, and Keaton came over to Tyler with a test in hand.
He instructed Tyler to finish it without using any notes or cheating, and to drop it off at his office by tomorrow morning. Keaton was always on top of things like this, giving a diagnostic test to every new student, so the kids in class 19 were pretty much used to it by now.
Tyler started working on the test, focused and unfazed by the noise around him.
Meanwhile, Fiona pulled out her phone from the desk and texted Jackson. He was still asking her about lunch plans, offering to pick her up.
A smile spread across Fiona's face as she thought for a moment, then sent back a list of Southern dishes. Nash, still stewing in his annoyance, noticed Fiona engrossed in her phone and couldn't help but sneak a peek. He didn't see the messages, just a black avatar. Was Fiona chatting with her uncle?
Nash quickly whipped out his own phone to message Jackson.
Ha! Jackson was his uncle too, and surely, he'd reply to Nash first!
Nash: [Hey, Uncle...]
The message wouldn't send.
Nash glared at the red exclamation mark next to the message, his face darkening with frustration. This was too much! Everyone was treating Fiona tike she was royalty, and what about him? Was he just some stray they picked up?
...
During lunch, Fiona invited Tyler along, but Tyler was determined to finish the test, so he skipped lunch. Fiona didn't push it and headed off to eat with Jackson.
After wrapping up all the tests, Tyler walked into the office and placed the test on Keaton's desk, anchoring it with a pen before leaving.
1:30 PM.
Keaton arrived at the office right on time, being the first one there. Spotting the test on his desk, he was surprised to see it completed so soon. With seven subjects to tackle, he figured Tyler turning it in by the next morning would be impressive.
Curious about Tyler's skills, he picked up a red pen and started grading.
"Hey, Mr. Keaton, burning the midnight oil already?"
Teachers started trickling in, some with a hint of sarcasm in their voices. Especially Megan.
She glanced at Keaton and smirked, "Mr. Keaton here isn't like the rest of us. He's the epitome of integrity, the savior of all the troubled students, so naturally, he has to put in some extra effort." "Megan, just say what you mean, why the snark?"
The teacher next to Keaton couldn't

help but chime in, "I heard Mr. Garcia tried to place someone in your class, but you turned them down and pushed them into Mr. Liu's class instead. Now you're acting at high and mighty?"
"That was his call to accept, not mine." Megan retorted with a sneer, "Besides, class 19's basically a dumping ground anyway, one more student won't make a difference."
Keaton could handle them taking shots at him, but he wouldn't stand for them badmouthing his students. His expression turned steely.
What do you think?
