Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1556

Fiona wasn't even slightly interested in the gossip swirling around her. Honestly, she couldn't care less, and arguing about it felt like a total waste of time. She figured she'd be better off focusing on how to get a good night's sleep instead.

After dropping Fiona and Nash off at school, Jackson headed back to the office. Sifting through a stack of proposals, he casually picked out a nondescript one and tossed it to his assistant. "Just go ahead and acquire it," he said, with the kind of cool authority that left no room for discussion.

His assistant didn't linger, nodding quickly before rushing off to get the job done. Jackson wasn't often seen this riled up. He swiftly made a call to acquire all of Janet's family assets. Known for her lavish spending, Janet soon found her family bankrupt, her dreams of a princess lifestyle crumbling.

Back at school, no one dared to speak to Fiona directly. Even whispers were kept to a minimum, and Patricia, usually so vocal, had fallen silent. Whenever someone spotted Fiona, they made a wide berth, terrified of ending up like Janet.

Though they didn't know what strings Fiona had pulled, it was enough to keep everyone's lips sealed. Just then, Fiona's phone buzzed with a message from an unknown number: "This is Christina. I'm waiting for you by the red sports car at the school gate."

Her eyes lit up, and she eagerly glanced out the window, spotting a red sports car parked outside. Then she remembered-Christina was Allen's manager. What could she possibly want with her? Despite her confusion, the thrill made her grin from ear to ear.

"Did you hit the jackpot or something? You're way too happy," her seatmate teased, raising an eyebrow. "Your smile is kinda unnerving."

"You just wouldn't get it," Patricia chuckled, hugging her phone. The idea of meeting Christina—and maybe even Allen-was more exciting than any lottery win.

Meanwhile, Tyler caught a glimpse of Fiona and tightened his grip on his phone, deep in thought. After mulling it over, he found himself heading straight to Keaton's office.

Fiona noticed a notification on her phone-Allen had held his first press conference, setting the record

"So Allen and Fiona are just friends? Makes sense now why there were pictures from the concert."

"Wow, we really misjudged Fiona. I feel awful. She's younger than me and handled all that online hate like a champ. I'm a fan for life now!"

"Thinking about it, Allen's so famous,

Fiona put her phone down, surprised as a few girls from her class approached, leaving snacks on her desk. They exchanged sheepish glances before one of them, a fall, slender girl, spoke up first, "Fiona, we're really sorry for how we treated you before. We had no idea you and Allen were so close and said some pretty nasty stuff. Please don't hold it against us."
