“Are you really going out?” Harvey asked once again. Scanning the figure of the girl who was still preparing with her cardigan and hairdo.
“Yes. I should thank him in person for his kindness this week. You know, he’s our biggest supplier of snacks.” Giselle giggled amusedly at the thought of a delivery from a man who still made her act wary. She also needed to confirm directly, what the man’s intentions were with this gift that Giselle could still enjoy.
Including a bouquet of flowers that changes almost every day.
“But aren’t you too conspicuous looking like that?” Harvey was still giving him a questioning look because of his friend’s appearance. Without Harvey realizing it, their relationship was developing rapidly. No one could resist their closeness, which had developed in a strange way.
“What’s wrong with me wearing a wig? It’s a good thing Daisy lent it to me,” Giselle said proudly. She gently shook her short, straight, neatly styled hair. It made Giselle’s face somewhat camouflaged. Also the box-framed glasses she got from Harvey.
“You look weird.” Harvey sighed softly. He savored his cup of coffee again as he sat on the edge of the bed. He had intended to spend the evening watching the rest of the drama with Giselle. But unfortunately, his friend had some business for a while. Instead of going back to the room, Harvey would rather watch another movie while waiting. It’s nothing, their hour-long meeting outside has made Harvey’s heart beat a little harder.
The organizers were quite strict in keeping the models from leaving the building. Except for the very urgent business that required them to leave the hotel. As far as Harvey knew, no one had left the hotel lobby just to enjoy an evening with a cup of coffee at the cafe opposite.
For the first time, it was Giselle who did just that.
Acting like any other hotel guest-outside of the contestants, she disguised herself so as not to be easily recognized. It was a brilliant idea, but what she chose to do was very conspicuous. It’s notoriously tacky and makes others take notice. Not Giselle for once when it comes to choosing the color of her clothes.
“It’s better to be weird than to be in the news for coming out of quarantine and meeting Andrew Kingston.”
Harvey choked violently. His chest hurt and his nose stung. He had to pull out a lot of tissues to wipe the coffee from his mouth. It looked so disgusting that Giselle frowned in surprise.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“You want to meet Andrew? Andrew Kingston, owner of The Collage?”
Without hesitation Giselle nodded. “Do you know him?”This text is © NôvelDrama/.Org.
Harvey immediately stood up and looked at Giselle with a look of disbelief. “So all this time the one sending you gifts was that guy? Andrew?”
“What’s wrong with you?” giselle chuckled. “How many of Andrew’s names have you mentioned. And if you know him, yes… I am indeed going to see him tonight.”
Harvey is clearly shocked! Who doesn’t know Andrew Kingston. Apart from his family name, he has a huge influence on the news of big figures. He owns a TV channel that contains both national news, broadcasting rights to several important events, including online media that has a sword-like edge. Sharp and blunt. When news about a person’s scandal goes viral in the media in Andrew’s hands, you can be sure that the news will reach all corners. It could be that the person becomes the bully of the country.
And the opposite. If it goes viral due to kindness and positive activities, the figure’s name becomes more famous and gets its own benefits.
“I think he’s just a casual fan.”
“I don’t consider myself a fan.” Giselle sighed softly. “She’s quite troublesome and annoying just so you know.”
“But it fits the rumors, right? His face is handsome? Has a certain charm?” Harvey asked with curious blinking eyes. He got closer to Giselle who was now preparing to put on her shoes. The look was no longer Giselle at all but no matter, Giselle could last for an hour. After all, she feels confident in what she’s wearing.
“I see.” Giselle grabbed the small bag attached to the bag hanger nearby. She checked her luggage once more and prepared to leave. “I’ll leave first. Let me know if Daisy comes. I won’t be long, I won’t spend an hour with her anyway.”
“You make me jealous,” Harvey said in a dramatic tone. “Andrew is one of those men that many women long for affection like me.”
“What are you, anyway?” Giselle chuckled in annoyance. “Should we exchange? You want to meet her, right?”
“Don’t make crazy ideas like that!” Harvey immediately pushed Giselle’s shoulder to quickly leave this room. “Go finish your business. And tell me the details of your date. I approve of your relationship. I’m one hundred percent supportive so that you’ll always be smooth sailing without any obstacles in the future.”
“I reject your hopes outright. I just want to talk, not a date like what you have in your crusty brain.” Giselle held back her steps a little in order to give an exasperated look to Harvey who was talking recklessly.
“Yeah-yeah.” Harvey chuckled. “There you go. It’ll be meeting time soon. As for Daisy and the agency, leave it to me. Besides, if you meet with Andrew, I think it’ll be fine.”
Giselle chuckled but kept her eyes on the clock on her right hand. It was true what Harvey had said; it would soon be time for their meeting. She left the room with some advice. Which Harvey will surely not pay much attention to since the girl is already looking brightly awaiting Giselle’s return.
“What a hassle,” Giselle complained as she entered the elevator that had opened for her. Checking her appearance once more so as not to be too conspicuous. Feeling that she had enough, she pressed the G button and let the metal box take her. There were no problems until she walked through the lobby area. Everything was safe and there was nothing to worry about. Actually, Giselle could have told the truth that there was someone she needed to meet, but since the person she wanted to meet was Andrew, she couldn’t reveal that truth.
“Where is that person?” His eyes darted quickly around the guests in the café. And when their eyes met, the crease on Andrew’s forehead was noticeable.
“Na, I mean Gise-”
“Have you waited long?” asked Giselle, gesturing not to talk too much.
Andrew nodded obediently but then chuckled. “You don’t have to go that far in disguise. You won’t get into any trouble just for meeting me tonight.”
“And be in the news because of this meeting? Don’t expect it.” Giselle wagged her finger lightly. “Did you order a drink? I’d like a co-.”
“Hot chocolatte with a slice of brownie?
Giselle laughed at that. “Yes… all right. You know too well what my favorite things are.”
“I’ve ordered it especially for you, Giselle. And thank you for meeting me during your break. I hope you don’t mind sitting here.”
“Absolutely not.” unconsciously, Giselle smiled widely. “Thanks for your post, too. I feel excited about quarantine. At least with the chocolate treats, I’m looking forward to ending the program soon and sitting in my room enjoying the chocolate.”
For a moment… Andrew was stunned. Not just at Giselle’s smile. But the words that came out without burden and sounded comfortable to his ears. Without realizing it, a smile formed on his face. At least, in this life of death that he was living, there was something that made him feel that he needed this smile in front of him to continue living.
