Chapter 10- Amara
Chapter 10- Amara
I woke up in the morning to find my bags packed and so were Cassidy and Grayson’s. Aaron gave me
a hug and left for his classes. He seems a little distant lately. He didn’t even looked lightly concerned
about me or was it just me being overly dramatic. I hope it’s the later. He must be really busy. Our
plane leaves at ten so we left the apartment at eight. I slept through the entire journey. I still felt a little
weak. Our plane landed at the Airport at half past eight. From here it’s a half an hour ride to Greycoast. Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
We boarded a taxi and carried on with our journey.
As soon as we started the taxi ride, I could feel the pack link getting stronger. There is this other sinking
feeling as well but I ignore it now and focus on more pressing matters first. It must be my nerves
messing with my head. I need to ask papa if I am allowed to bring Cassidy and Grayson to the cabin. I
am not sure I should though. They helped me a lot but they are strangers after all. Besides they are
super naturals and I am one hundred percent sure they are not supposed to know about papa and
Ryder. I should just drive them over to Alec’s. I can sneak off to the cabin in the middle of the night to
meet papa and Ryder. I have already told him about us coming.
“I think it will be better to head to Alec’s now. It’s kind of getting really late now.” I voiced my thoughts.
Not the complete thoughts though. The mind link was back on by now. I should contact papa or maybe
I should just go there in person.
“I think we should go there directly.” Cassidy said.
Please cut me some slack. I can’t take them there. Papa will hand me my ass. Besides I need to talk to
my family in private. My father is dying after all.
“Sorry. I can’t take you to the cabin. It’s kind of a person home for me. We will stay at Alec’s for now. I
will ask the pack alpha if I can bring you there. Then and after then only I will take you there. I know I
am coming out quite rude but I just can’t.” I told her with finality in my voice. “I am already breaching the
pack law by bringing a witch and a warlock in the pack lands. I don’t want to get in anymore trouble. I
hope you can understand where I am coming from.”
I need to tell Leo about them as well. I can do that tomorrow when I will go meet Asher. His name made
the sinking feeling in my stomach more pronounced. I hope he is not mad at me anymore. Maybe he
will kiss the living day lights out of me when he sees me at his doorsteps. We haven’t seen each other
for a while now.
“Okay.” Cassidy replied.
Well that was easy. I gave the cab driver Alec’s address. After we arrived at the apartment and
unloaded our bags, I called Alec to take us inside the front door which was obviously locked. A few
seconds later, I heard the front door slam open and I was engulfed in my brother’s arms. I missed him
so much.
“Whoa!” he said letting go of me and holding me at the arms. He gave me a once over but his eyes
lingered more on my face. “What happened to you?”
“What do you mean?” I asked confused.
Do I have something on my face?
“Have you looked at your face in the mirror lately? You look really pale and you have large dark circles
around your eyes. If I didn’t knew better, I would have thought you were suffering from some serious
disease or something.” He said chuckling. “You aren’t right?” This time he looked possibly terrified.
“Off course not.” I replied. “I had no idea I am looking that terrible. I just got out of a high fever
yesterday. Maybe that’s why I am looking like this.” I lied.
“I know you are lying about that fever.” He said narrowing his eyes at me in a very mom like way
making me gulp. “But I know you will tell me everything. Well we should get inside. Caleb and Carter
are upstairs, fixing us dinner.”
Cassidy cleared her throat behind me. Oops I totally forgot about them.
“This is Cassidy and Grayson, my landlords.” I introduced then to Alec. “And this is my brother, Alec.”
They shook each other’s hands and we started ascending to Alec’s apartment. Alec was carrying my
bag and Grayson was carrying Cassidy and his bag. The door was open and the scent of lasagne was
drifting out of the door making my mouth water making Alec laugh in my face. I ignored him and speed
walked to inside the apartment which I once shared with Alec. It was just the same except for the two
hot twins cooking in the kitchen. This place brought back many memories of the high school. The good
ones off course but it still gave me the knowing pang in my chest which I have no idea what it is about.
“Hey guys.” I greeted them grinning.
At the same moment my stomach grumbled loudly making them laugh. I blushed because of my
embarrassing stomach. Alec came in with my bag followed by Cassidy and Grayson. As soon as they
entered the room, the atmosphere changed completely. The twins stopped laughing and pulled Alec
and I behind them, low threatening growls coming out there mouth. Holy shit! How could I forget? I was
going to talk to Leo tomorrow but they are werewolves too. Shit! Shit! Shit! Cassidy stood there unfazed
and Grayson was looking around the apartment, paying no attention to the two mad wolves.
“Umm… Caleb… Carter… why don’t we sit down?” I asked.
“WHY ARE THEY HERE?” Caleb growled.
They both looked to be on the verge of shifting. Oh no!
“I can explain.” I said nervously.
“You know what they are?” Carter asked confused.
He almost looked like I did a terrible crime which I sort of did bring a witch and a warlock on the pack
lands. I have to tell them the truth about the circumstances or lord save me from these two. Cassidy
looked to be enjoying the show and Grayson looked bored out of his mind.
“Yeah. They are my landlords and they told me about them yesterday after I woke up from a coma.” I
whispered looking at the floor.
“WHAT?” Alec’s voice rang sharply in the apartment giving me a headache.
Oh this is going to be interesting.
