Chapter 23- Amara
Chapter 23- Amara
Beside Ryder was a golden brown wolf spirit, standing a little shorter than him. He looked more like a
teen version of Ryder.
“Are you going to tell me anything?” I asked exasperated. “Is he who I think he is?”
What did Ryder do? He gave a booming bark like laugh. My eye twitched. I am going to murder this
wolf. The other spirit wolf was looking at us like we had gone mad.
“Ryder stop cackling like a hyena.” I said irritated.
“Oh my god! Your face. Geez Amy.” Ryder exclaimed dissolving into laughing fits again.
“Are you talking bro or should I beat you up?” I asked glaring at him making Ryder shut up.
The other wolf growled in warning. What’s his problem?
“Okay! I am talking. Don’t get all riled up princess.” Ryder started. “This is my son” he said motioning
towards the smaller wolf spirit. “and the next spirit alpha. Obviously he doesn’t have a name. You can
give him one later.” He turned towards the spirit wolf. “This is my baby sister, Amara.”
“I am not a baby anymore Ryder.” I grumbled.
“Of course sweetie.” Ryder said to me amused.
“Is she like my aunt then?” The wolf spirit asked.
“She is your aunt.” Ryder said firmly.
“This is confusing papa. She is human.” Poor guy was confused as hell.
It will take a little time to get used to hearing someone call Ryder, Papa.
“Our Ry Ry is a father now.” I teased. If Ryder could blush, he would be red as a tomato from the looks
of his reaction. “Are you blushing?” I asked giggling at his expense.
“Yeah laugh all you want.” Ryder grumbled huffing. Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
“Anyways, it’s nice to meet you.” I said to the smaller wolf.
“Yeah. Hi!” he replied still confused beyond limits.
“Can I call you Xander?” I asked.
“We are not supposed to have names.” He replied.
“Just let her do what she wants pup.” Ryder growled earning a slap from me. “What the hell was that
for?”
“You were rude to my nephew.” I scolded. Xander snorted.
“Excuse me! Your nephew?” Ryder exclaimed dramatically. Uh oh! This is not good. “You are my sister.
I am not sharing you with nobody. Not anymore.”
With that being said, Ryder stood between Xander and I and full on glared at him. Uh this stubborn
child.
“Xander do you mind giving us a minute?” I asked sighing at my brother’s behavior.
“Sure.” He said looking at us weirdly.
He looked really sacred of Ryder.
“What was that about?” I asked Ryder as soon as Xander was out of ear shot.
“I don’t know.” Ryder said hanging his head. My poor brother. “I just get this urge to shield you from
everyone and everything. It was not this strong before but as soon as I became Alpha it got way
stronger. I just lost papa and I don’t want to lose you too. I don’t like it when you show love to someone
else. I don’t like to see you hurt. It feels like you will leave me. What is happening to me?”
“Ryder I love you. I am not leaving you. He is your son. He won’t take me away from you. Please be
there for him just like papa was there for you. You can’t treat him like that. About the whole possessive
thing you have going on there, maybe it’s just because of the new changes. I have heard Alphas get
possessive over there family. Papa was like that too right. You will get used to it.” He nodded.
“I am such a crap father.” Ryder said gloomily. He looked like he was about to cry.
“No Ry. Your are a good father. Somethings just take times to adjust to. The only thing you need to do
at the moment is talk to your son and explain everything to him. I will call him back for you.”
“Xander.” I called in the mind link.
“What the hell?” he screeched.
“It’s me Amara. Come outside. Ryder…I mean your father wants to talk to you.”
Geez! That will take time to get used to.
“Okay?”
I wanted to laugh so bad at his adorableness. That pup is really cute. Xander walked out tentatively
towards us.
“Do you mind if I hug you?” I asked him.
Ryder growled a little but didn’t do anything other than that.
“No?” he said more like a question.
I took the chance and flung myself at him making him gasp. I buried my face in his neck and wound my
arms around him. He rested his head on my back sighing. He gives the same warmth as papa and
Ryder. He is a lot less muscular and smaller than them but I know he will grow into it.
“Okay enough.” Ryder grumbled.
