Chapter 393
Everyone was astonished by how Suzanne had used those silver needles so expertly. The way she had sent those needles flying was like something they would only see in movies. Witnessing that even made them question if they had imagined things.
But looking at the three silver needles sticking out of Cindy's body, they had no choice but to accept that it had actually happened in reality.
With a gloomy expression, Suzanne went up to Cindy, grabbed the box cutter from her hand, and hurled it into a trash can beside.noveldrama
The security team happened to witness this when they arrived at the office. Every one of them widened their eyes.
When did they start filming television dramas at their company?
Lillian was frozen stiff in her seat. She felt chills run down her entire body.
Suzanne could've killed her simply over the insults she uttered to her previously. She could've easily done so by shooting out those needles to pierce Lillian in the heart.
At that moment, Suzanne had pulled out the three silver needles from the top of Cindy's head. The moment Cindy's acupoints were released, she slumped to the floor limply. Both her legs were shaking, and she no longer had that confident air around her from when she threatened Suzanne earlier.
Seline hadn't informed her about how terrifying Suzanne was.
Meanwhile, Suzanne did not spare Cindy another gaze. She spun around, her eyes scanning everyone else in the entire office.
In the end, she looked at the security team. In an icy voice, she asked, "Aren't you people going to take the troublemaker away?"
The security personnel came back to their senses and hurried over to Cindy.
However, Cindy got to her feet and walked to Seline before coming to a stop in front of her. "Ms. Seline, come with me for a moment."
Before Seline could refuse, Cindy had turned around and headed out with a somber air around her. It felt like the darkness around her was about to swallow everything up.
For some reason, Seline felt a tad terrified. Yet she had no choice but to follow her. She said to the security team, "It's fine. I'll show her the way out later."
Everyone else in the office was left looking at one another while the security personnel scratched their heads in confusion. Were they meant to take the woman away or not?
Suzanne had achieved her goal. She couldn't be bothered to pursue this further with them, so she turned around and walked back to her seat.
Right now, no one dared to provoke Suzanne.
After all, they were still reeling in shock over what happened earlier. Thus, they lowered their heads and worked in silence.
Seline followed Cindy into the fire escape behind the design department. The moment the door to the fire escape shut, Cindy stopped in her tracks.
As Seline thought about what
Suzanne said earlier as well as some of the photos she had seen ten years ago, fear grew within her. If the Hunt family had participated in those crimes, their family members had to be terrifying as well.
Standing at the door, Seline forced herself to suppress the fear within her. Fixing her eyes on Cindy, she tried her best to speak in a soft tone. "Sorry about that, Cindy. My Sister is heartless, indeed."
Even at a time like this, Seline wanted to divert any troubles away from herself.
Nevertheless, Cindy lifted a leg and kicked Seline right in her stomach, sending her flying right at the fire escape door with a loud bang.
Seline let out a cry and put her hands over her belly as she forced herself to withstand the pain in her body.
That said, she couldn't be bothered with anything else. She scrambled to her feet. With tears streaming down her face, she pleaded, "I'm sorry. It was all my fault. I miscalculated."
Cindy was someone who got along with her pretty well and was quite understanding. Why did she seem like an entirely different person now?
Seline was baffled. Nonetheless, it was too late for any regrets now.
Cindy's level of aggression was the complete opposite of the gentle appearance she had shown before.
She wiped the fresh blood that bled from the wound on her neck. Looking at the blood on her hand, she walked to Seline.
With her eyes looking bloodshot, she reached out and grabbed Seline by her neck. Squeezing her neck tightly, she forced the panicked Seline to lift her head and look into her eyes.
"You miscalculated? Well, guess what? You owe me one for today."
What do you think?
