Chapter 2936
"Shelly, why are you so silly?" Courtney sighed. "You could have gotten rich overnight, and y yet you choose to remain in poverty because of your pride. If I were you, I would have told the Fosters the same day I found out that I was pregnant. Even if Hayden Tate doesn't want the baby, his parents will let you keep the children."
Shelly blushed. "Courtney, I will send Audrey over to your place tomorrow. Is that okay?"
"Of course! It's Elliot Foster's granddaughter we are talking about here. Aren't you worried that I'm going to take her to Elliot and ask him for money?" Courtney burst out laughing.
"... I trust you."
"My family runs a business, and I'm a businesswoman at heart. If I take Audrey to Elliot, he is going to pay me at least 150,000," said Courtney running the numbers, "and that's just the minimum. He might let me name my price and pay me 780,000 or even 1.5 million if I ask for it."
Shelly fell silent before Courtney's words.
"Naturally, I won't do that. I'm just messing with you to let you know how foolish it is for you to raise a child on your own. I thought you chose this path of hardship because the man who had knocked you up was unreliable. If he is that rich, why would you make life harder than it should be?"
"Courtney, I'm not suffering on purpose. There's no such thing as a free lunch. There's too big a difference between me and Hayden Tate, so I don't have the courage to be associated with him."
"Forget about that. As wealthy as Hayden might be, he will need to get married and have children eventually. It's not like he can reproduce on his own. You gave birth to two babies for him and that's not to be taken lightly. You deserve to get something in return." Courtney disagreed with Shelly's perspective.
"I did get something out of it! I got Audrey." Shelly did not want to argue with Courtney. "Am I going to bother your parents if I send Audrey over tomorrow morning?"
"Forget them. If they find out that she is Elliot Foster's granddaughter, they are practically going to worship her!" Courtney chuckled.
"Don't tell your parents!" Shelly was worried that Hayden would take Audrey away if he found out. If that happened, she would have gone through the pregnancy for nothing.
"Let's see how long you can keep this a secret," Courtney muttered. "It's hard to travel with a baby, so I will drive over to pick Audrey up tomorrow."
"Sure. Thank you, Courtney.
Hayden's company is in Bridgedale,

come and pick
after he leaves," Shellyed.
"The Fosters aren't fools. Even if they don't know about Audrey right now, they would find out about her soon. You are the mother of their grandson, after all. They are going to keep a close eye on you from now on
"Are you saying that I should leave Avonsville with Audrey?" Shelly asked.
Courtney chuckled with resignation. "Oh my goodness. I'm asking you to introduce Audrey to the Fosters as well."
"... I told you that I don't want that. It's embarrassing. I will look like I can't survive without their money."
"Alright, I will be your breadwinner, then. Our cafe is starting to make a profit anyways."
Shelly smiled've recovered from
the surgery, so I can start work tomorrow. If Hayden comes to me tomorrow, I will try my best to tell him off and get him to stay away from me. That way, I can pick Audrey up tomorrow night.
"Sure, it's up to you. Let's see if Hayden Tate follows your plan."

The next day, Hayden woke up early as he had not been able to sleep much.
He headed downstairs and saw his parents in the living room.
Elliot was holding the baby while Avery was teasing him with a toy.
The thought that the baby might be his caused Hayden to blush.
It was not that he hated the child, but he was taken by surprise by the sudden appearance of the child.
