Chapter 2954
"Babies' tongues work differently," Avery explained patiently. "Just think of it this way: he hasn't tried anything else so he can put up with the taste of the formula."
"Oh. Do you really not get sick of taking care of a baby all day, Mom? You can just hire a few more nannies so that you can go outside with Dad!" Robert was still young and could hardly stay put in one place, so he could not understand why his mother would choose to stay home all the time. This is from NôvelDrama.Org.
"It's cold outside, so what's there to see? Besides, your dad is going to take over later. He is spending far more time with Aiden than I am!" Avery smiled. "He is so full of energy. He works two to three hours every day and still makes time to take care of Aiden. He hasn't once complained about feeling tired."
"I guess it's because Aiden looks so cute." Ivy was growing increasingly fond of her nephew.
"I think Aiden looks a lot like his mom. I should send Shelly some gifts for New Year's," Avery mused. "Do you think she would accept it if we offered to buy her a house?"
"I do think she needs a house," Robert commented. "She is still renting a place! I offered to buy a few plants for her, and she said she doesn't have much space for plants in her rented apartment." Avery nodded. "I'm just worried that she might not accept it. I need to think of an excuse."
"Maybe get Hayden to talk to her about it?" Robert suggested.
"Haha... Your brother may be good at what he does, but he is horrible at communicating with women. He is far too serious and straightforward most of the time, so Shelly would turn him down right away," Avery said.
By then, Ivy had made two glasses of baby formula milk, and she handed one glass to Robert.
Robert took a small sip.
"It tastes bad, right?" Avery asked.
Robert nodded. "Yeah. It tastes so fishy."
Ivy took a sip as well. Though it did not taste good, she felt like she could tolerate it.
Aiden widened his eyes and stared at Ivy and Robert unblinkingly.
He had likely caught onto the scent of milk and was wondering why his aunt and uncle were drinking his milk.
"Robert, look! Aiden is staring at us! Hahaha!" Ivy was amused by the confused look on Aiden's face.
"It tastes so bad. It's a shame we can't feed this to him," Robert said.
"Robert, don't complain. Just finish it all in one go," Ivy said.
She proceeded to drink all the milk in her glass, and Aiden burst into tears in response.
"Hahaha!" Robert laughed. "The little one feels left out! Is he hungry?"
Avery, too, was amused by the sight.
"When did Aiden last eat?" Avery asked the servant.
"About an hour and a half ago," the vant said. "It's a little early for k
, but he can eat if hets
milk."
Avery studied the tearful look on her grandson's face and said, "Make him a bottle, then!"
The servant went toward the kitchen and ran into Elliot, who rushed into the living room.
Elliot was working when he overheard Aiden crying and ran outside immediately.
He used to keep the door to his study room closed while he worked but had started leaving it open to pay attention to what his grandson was doing.
Any time Aiden started crying, he would hear it, and run toward Aiden.
"Elliot, can you even get any work done
this way?" Avery teased. "It's
how
for babies to cry. Just look at
worried you are." Cook at
"I thought you said Aiden doesn't really cry that often. Why was he crying?" Elliot asked.
"Dad, I drank a glass of milk in front of him, and he probably felt left out." Ivy showed Elliot her empty glass.
