His Eagle Eyes on Me

Chapter 2976

Shelly accepted the gift with a smile. "Ivy, there's no need for formality. I appreciate whatever you give me. Next time you come, you don't have to buy me a gift." "Shelly, it's just a small gift, not very valuable." Ivy chuckled. "I don't have classes this afternoon, so I came here to see you. I hope I'm not disturbing your work."

"Of course not. I've hired a few more employees in my shop now, so I'm not as busy as before," Shelly replied. "Your older brother's company is near our dessert shop. Would you like to go and see him later?"

"I see him every evening, so I won't go out of my way to see him," Ivy said, not wanting to disturb her brother at work. "Shelly, you met my brother last Saturday, right? What did you think of him?"

Ivy was acting as her family's representative, and she was here to talk to Shelly. Their hopes were riding on Shelly's response, as they needed to understand how Shelly saw Hayden.

"He's very nice!" Shelly replied without hesitation. "Your whole family is wonderful. With all of you taking care of Aiden, I feel really reassured."

Ivy nodded. "Taking care of Aiden is our responsibility. Shelly, are you currently in a romantic relationship?"

"No!" Shelly felt increasingly flustered by Ivy's questions. "Ivy, what are you trying to say?"

"Don't be afraid, Shelly. We want to know if you like my brother. We really hope you can be together with him, but we're also afraid that you don't like him. We don't want to force you into anything you don't want," Ivy explained.

Shelly's face reddened instantly. "Ivy, do you really think your brother would like an ordinary girl like me?"

It was a question she would never ask Layla or Avery, but she felt that Ivy, who had experienced hardship since childhood, might understand her feelings better.

"Of course, it's possible. You're a wonderful woman. You may not come from a wealthy background, but that's not something you can control. My parents don't value that sort of thing, and I don't think my brother cares either," Ivy said with a smile. "Shelly, I think you might have some feelings for my brother, am I right? Don't worry, I won't tell him."

Shelly felt a bit embarrassed but remained level-headed. Although Hayden's family liked her, it ultimately depended on Hayden's feelings toward her.

"Ivy, there's hardly a woman who

wouldn't be attracted to someone as brilliant as your brother, right? I think he should find someone better. Besides, I don't have plans on entering a relationship. The cafe is just getting on the right track, and I can't relax just yet." Shelly honestly conveyed her thoughts to Ivy.

Ivy nodded. "Shelly, I understand what you mean. Don't worry, my family and I will still consider you as part of our family. As for you and my brother, I guess it's all up to fate."

"Ivy, thank you. I really like your

my life to have met all of you, and I wouldn't dare to ask for more." Shelly sincerely expressed her gratitude.

"Shelly, don't say that. Your best days are yet to come!"

After a brief chat, Ivy left, not wanting to distract Shelly from work.

She had no intention of going to Dream Maker at first, but as she stepped out of the cafe, she felt a sudden urge to check out the office of her brother's company, so ske asked the driver to drop her off at the Dream Maker office building.

After getting off the car, she took a picture of her standing in front of the building, before going back into the car to head home.

On her way home, she sent the photo to the family chatgroup with a caption: [The office building of Hayden's company is paler than me.] Hayden favored the color white, so the walls outside were all painted white.

Hayden spotted the message and immediately called Ivy. "You came by? Why didn't you tell me? I could have gone down to pick you up." Ivy burst out laughing. "I just happened to be in the area, Hayden. I'm already on my way home."

"Why would you be in the area?" He asked.

Ivy had no intention of lying and said, "I didn't have any class this afternoon, so I paid Shelly a visit."
