Chapter 12 Asexuality
Charleston's cell phone suddenly rang. He went to the balcony to answer it
On the other end, Larry said respectfully, "Sir, I've settled everything over here."
"Okay." Charleston nodded.
"Sir, are you back at your villa now?" Larry asked out of uncertainty.
He knew that Charleston had left as soon as he finished up his business with the investors from
Mapleland.
"No, I'm at someone else's place." Charleston replied.
"Are you at Miss Simons'?" Larry was very surprised.
"Yes."
"Is it because of the photo?" As a highly meticulous and professional personal assistant, Larry felt that
it was necessary for him to be clear and in the know about every situation his employer was in.
He had never seen Charleston pay so much attention to a woman before. Even if it was because of
that important photo, there really wasn't a need for him to behave like this.
Especially not to the extent of him going over to her place.
"And also because, she might be my only salvation." Charleston stated mysteriously into the phone
before hanging up.
He lifted his head to take in the night sky, his eyes turning as dark as the skies above him.
He was an asexual who had never been turned on by any men or women.
The only time he ever got aroused was four years ago. However, he never felt the same for Suanne
Adams when he met her again after that night.
But all it took was for Margaret to gently walk up to him and be near him for him to feel like this.
This made Charleston feel hot all over his torso, like a wildfire spreading uncontrollably. He was
definitely aroused.
His blood boiled within him. God, he wanted her!
Just then, Margaret brought out two bowls of ramen.
"Mr. Limbaugh, this is yours." Margaret handed the bowl with the larger portion to Charleston.
"Instant noodles would actually taste better when paired with ham sausage and poached eggs. But I
just moved here, so I haven't had time to get my hands on them," she explained.
"It's okay, you can get them next time." Charleston said while sitting down.
This statement sounded awkward to Margaret.
She was so hungry that she didn't think too much of it. She quickly scooped a forkful of noodles into
her mouth and started munching.
It seemed like she had burnt her tongue as she looked like she was having a hard time swallowing.
She choked on herself and almost teared up. She then stuck out her tongue as she gasped for air.
The steam from the bowl made Margaret's cheeks turn red. Her eyes shimmered with warm tears, and
her mouth hung wide open with her tongue sticking out as she continued gasping for air.
Charleston looked indifferent to the scene before him, but in truth, he could barely sit still. He seemed
to have gotten aroused once again...
"Mr. Limbaugh, why aren't you eating?" Margaret asked. Was it not delicious? She pondered.
"It's a little too warm. I'll have it later." He replied.
"But the noodles won't taste as good once they're cooled." Margaret blinked her eyes before taking
large mouthfuls of the spicy ramen.
After Margaret finished eating, she found that there was still half a bowl of noodles in Charleston's
bowl.
Fine, rich men wouldn't want to eat cheap food like instant noodles anyway.
Margaret picked the bowl up, brought it to the kitchen and washed it. She suddenly heard a muffled Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
noise from the living room when she was in the midst of washing the bowls.
She hurriedly walked out, only to find Charleston holding the tea table with one hand and covering his
stomach with the other. His face was pale.
"Is it gastric pain?" She asked.
Why did he suddenly have gastric pain?
Margaret then remembered that he had just been served a bowl of Super Spicy Seafood Flavored
Noodles.
"If you can't take spicy food, why did you even try to finish it?" Margaret felt a little anxious. "What
should we do now? I don't have medicine for gastric pain at home."
Margaret held Charleston up and let him lie on the couch. "Wait a sec, I'll go and pour you a glass of
hot water," she said.
After Charleston took a sip of hot water, he felt a little bit better. "I called Larry. He should be here
soon."
