IT’S A PRANK
A question caused Samarra and Ezekiel to turn; Samarra could see Zachary’s brow furrow as he examined Ezekiel’s hand on her leg and waist.
“It’s not what you think, Zach,” Ezekiel said, slowly removing his hand from around her waist.
Her knees almost trembled in fear as she looked at Ezekiel, who seemed unconcerned by Zachary’s appearance.
Based on Zachary’s expression, she knows Ezekiel isn’t doing anything terrible to them. He will not accept it no matter what explanation she provides, especially since Ezekiel has been involved. She fears he will judge them negatively. Zachary is envious of Ezekiel.
“Ara?!” As she swallowed, Zachary’s voice sounded like thunder. Her throat suddenly became dry for an unknown reason.
“What do you mean?” She didn’t know how to respond because she feared making a mistake that would enrage Zachary even more.
“She lost her balance, so I helped her,” Ezekiel explained quickly when he probably noticed she was struggling to respond.
Zachary nodded and approached them, first looking at her and then at Ezekiel.
The two men appeared to understand because Ezekiel drew her closer to Zachary before saying goodbye.
“Okay, I have to leave, lovebirds, Zach, behave yourselves. Uncle Frost will be upset if you do something wrong to his daughter.” Ezekiel reminded his younger brother, who patted his shoulder as he turned to face Samarra.
“Miel, take care of yourself and prepare for Zachary’s punishment,” Ezekiel said before leaving.
Samarra’s smile faded when she noticed Zachary staring at her evilly.
“What? I’ve done nothing wrong, “She defended herself just as Zachary was about to speak.
Zachary’s reaction time was lightning fast. She closed her eyes as he abruptly lifted him and seemed to be a child.
“Cadden, I can walk,” she pleaded, but instead of listening, he jumped up and lifted her with his eyes closed.
“Cadd-”
When Zachary gave her a nasty look, her speech halted. She could see his jaw clenching as he watched Ezekiel walk away from them.
Zachary paused for a few moments before deciding to walk home.
“Love,” she said softly to Zachary, who frowned and didn’t say anything.
“I’m-”
“Not now, Ara. I’m still angry, “Zachary said as she nodded. When she put her hand around his neck, she could feel his paralysis, but he didn’t say anything.
Samarra kept her gaze fixed on Zachary as they walked because she expected him to return her eye, but she was disappointed until they arrived at the Villa.
“Oh, what happened to her?” Mommy Lorraine inquired as to when she would open the door for them.
“She lost her balance,” Zachary replied briefly.
Carefully placing her on the single couch, Zachary knelt in front of her as she took a breath as removed her sandals. He looked at her foot before shaking his head.
“Why?” Samarra inquired.
Zachary shrugged and took his phone from his pocket. Samarra looked up and followed Zachary out the door. Samarra couldn’t help but sigh when he finally emerged.
“Are you okay, Sam?” Mommy Lorraine inquired, concerned.
“Yeah.”
She nodded and smiled to indicate that she was okay.
“All right, Frost said you needed to rest, not share a room with Zachary,” Mommy Lorraine reminded.Belongs © to NôvelDrama.Org.
Samarra’s gaze was drawn to Mommy Lorraine.
Samarra took a few minutes to stand up because she didn’t have anyone with her in the living room, and Zachary wasn’t there until now.
“What the hell? Why are you so stubborn, Ara? “When Zachary saw her standing, he became irritated.
“Cadden, relax,” Samarra said as Zachary approached her.
“Are you laughing at my concern for you?” Zachary was irritated with her.
“Love, it’s not like that,” she said as she took his arm in hers.
“Look at my right foot,” she said, slowly moving it to demonstrate that she was fine and could stand.
“Don’t start with me, Samarra. I called Dr. Ledesma to make sure your foot was still okay. It’s difficult because you could have a pinched nerve.”
Samarra sighed, unable to disagree with her husband’s wishes. She couldn’t help but smile as Zachary sat beside her and helped her seat again.
After a few moments, they heard a doorbell outside, which Zachary immediately set up.
“Ara, I’ll see if Dr. Ledesma is already outside,” Zachary said.
He kissed her forehead before opening the door, and she nodded.
After a while, Zachary returned with Dr. Ledesma; Samarra mistook the doctor for old because he appeared young.
“Love, Dr. Gerald Ledesma, doc, this is Samarra, my wife,” Zachary introduced her.
“Hi! Mrs. Buenavista, good evening. I’m glad to meet you.” She smiled as she accepted the doctor’s offered hand.
“Same here, Doc,” she said, smiling.
The doctor sat in the chair across from her and signaled to the nurse who was with him;
Samarra frowned because she had only just noticed the doctor and nurse with her. She assumed he was alone.
When the nurse approached them, she said, “Good evening, Mrs. Buenavista.”
“Good evening, Nurse Letty,” she said, greeting the nurse with a surprised smile that vanished when she noticed she was looking at the nameplate on her white uniform.
Dr. Ledesma pressed her foot against his thigh. He looked at her foot before shaking his head. And he looked so severe that she wanted to be nervous because he had the same expression as Zachary.
“Doc, what’s the matter?”
The doctor immediately shook his head and fixed his gaze on Zachary.
“Will her leg be amputated, Doc?” With a frown, Zachary inquired.
Why would she have her leg amputated? She isn’t having any strange sensations.
“I think we should talk to Mr. Buenavista privately,” said Dr. Ledesma, who turned her gaze to the nurse with him, who avoided looking at her.
“Doc, I think you should tell us now,” she said firmly, trying to prevent the two men from leaving ahead of her.
“Your foot, Mrs. Buenavista-”
“What brought you here, Gerald?” Daddy Calvin inquired, interrupting the doctor’s speech.
Samarra observed Dr. Ledesma and Zachary before turning to face her.
“Why are you wearing a doctor’s lab coat?” Daddy Calvin asked, his face solemn.
“Uncle, ahh…” Dr. Ledesma scratched the back of his neck before turning to face her.
“Why? What exactly is going on here?” Daddy Calvin inquired once more, looking at the four of them.
Zachary, Nurse Letty, and Dr. Ledesma exchanged glances before turning her back because Daddy Calvin’s gaze was drawn to her as if surprised, especially since he was a newcomer.
“It’s a prank, Samarra!”
