CHAPTER 58: KISSED
As Samarra and Jameson exited the engineering department, Jameson received a phone call from Ezekiel. They exchanged glances, and she motioned for Jameson to answer the phone. Jameson turned up the volume on the speaker so she could hear what they were saying.
“Sir?”
“Are you still with Miel?”
He moved closer to Jameson after he turned to her and signaled not to say they were together.
“Sir, Samarra and I are not together right now. Do you need anything from Samarra? If I see her, I’ll let her know.”
“I can’t get through to her phone. So, I assumed something bad had happened to her. God! She adds to my worries.”
Samarra couldn’t help but smile when she heard what she had just heard. Ezekiel was concerned about her in some way. When Jameson looked at her again, she indicated that her cellphone was broken.
“Oh, her phone is broken.”
Samarra even agrees with Jameson.
“OK, don’t tell her I called.”
What Ezekiel said shocked Samarra. He appears to be avoiding telling her that he is still concerned.
“Yes, sir.”
Jameson had already placed the cellphone in his pocket before returning his gaze to the boss.
“Would you like to buy me a phone?”
Samarra immediately shook her head because she and Zachary were leaving. Maybe she’ll add the cellphone purchase later.
“It’s OK; I’ll buy it later.”
Jameson only nodded.
“Please inform Kiel that I will not be joining the company today, Jameson,” Samarra said as they walked straight into the parking lot. She turned to face Jameson, who was staring at her silently.
“You’re far too preoccupied. Did you hear what I was saying?”
When Samarra tapped Jameson on the shoulder, he seemed to wake up.
“I’m sorry, Lady Summer. I was thinking-”
“There’s no need to explain. Please inform Ezekiel that I am taking the day off today.”
Samarra quickly said goodbye to Jameson and hurried to Zachary’s car.
When she arrived, Samarra took a deep breath and went to the passenger door. When it suddenly opened, her proper knock did not continue.
“Get in.”
Samarra had just gotten into the car. Zachary’s face appeared in her vision. His brows were nearly the same, as was the annoyance on his handsome face.
“How come you take so long?”
When Samarra closely examined his appearance, she was unable to speak.
“Can you tell me what happened to your lips?”
Samarra couldn’t stop herself from touching Zachary’s lip, which he quickly avoided.
Could he possibly have been kissing someone else? Samarra forcibly touched Zachary’s chin and squeezed his lip with a wound because of what she thought.
“What is your fucking problem?”
Zachary complained as he tasted the blood from his cut lip. Zachary shifted his gaze away from Samarra, who was staring at him with a frown.This text is property of Nô/velD/rama.Org.
What is the matter with this woman? I’ve wound in my lips, but she managed to squeeze it.
“Whose lips did you kiss?”
“What?”
Zachary asked, perplexed. He was sure he had heard Samarra correctly. Kissed? Because of what Samarra thinks about his wound, Zachary is unsure whether he will laugh or be annoyed. There are several possible explanations for the damage on his lips, but she believes he kissed someone else. He couldn’t imagine kissing someone else’s lips if he wasn’t his wife.
“Please do not ask me another question. Just speak to me!”
When Samarra yelled and hit Zachary with the bag she was holding; he was still stunned. Whoa! She has a sadistic personality. Could she not have fought?
“Stop,” Zachary said, restraining Samarra’s grip on the bag. When Zachary saw how Samarra looked at him, he swallowed hard. Zachary had never been more nervous in his life apart from his father. He could feel his knees trembling.
“Start the engine.”
When Samarra knocked on Zachary’s car door, he seemed correct.
Stunned, Zachary grabbed Samarra’s hand and drew her closer to him. That was the only way he could stop Samarra. He hugged Samarra tightly and buried his face in her neck.
That’s it. Samarra has stopped.
“Nobody ever kissed me. I never imagined myself kissing someone’s lips if it wasn’t you. I apologize for not getting closer to you earlier; we reached out when I saw Wesley at the gym. I couldn’t stop myself from punching him. So I’ve got a wound on my lip. He’s stronger than me. “When Zachary noticed Samarra gradually becoming quieter, he laughed to calm her down.
“Wife, I know we don’t want to marry each other. I’m glad I’m married to you. You added color to my once-drab life. Maybe it’s too soon, but I can’t stop myself any longer. Wife, I adore you.”
Samarra’s eyes welled up, and she couldn’t stop them. Because she, too, felt a reaction.
“I was thinking-”
“Don’t overthink it; I love you, so why should I consider others?” Zachary took Samarra’s hands and placed them on his chest.
“Do you sense it?” Zachary’s mention of his heartbeat Samarra nodded when he saw him.
“You’re the only one who’s throbbing.”
Zachary was perplexed when Samarra’s silent crying turned into a loud sob. He hugged her and kissed Samarra on the cheek.
“Hey, I told you that already. Wife, why are you crying?” Zachary’s words of comfort to Samarra.
“It’s because of you.” Zachary laughed as he held Samarra’s hand and pounded her chest.
“Wife-”
“I love you too.” Zachary sighed as he heard what had happened. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing, whether Samarra said it or he was mistaken.
“Didn’t you say anything?” He even put his hand on Samarra’s cheek and looked at her. He wants to know if he hears things correctly.
“I said. Mr. Buenavista, I will always love you.” Zachary couldn’t stop himself from kissing Samarra’s lips.
He knew now that what he had heard was correct. And he knew Samarra already had feelings for him, so he would not be embarrassed to tell her how much he loved her without hesitation.
“Let’s go, love. We’re still going to your friend, you say?”
Zachary backed up slightly as he hugged Samarra. Her face is filled with joy, just like his.
“OK.”
Zachary nodded and folded his and Samarra’s hands together, one holding the steering wheel.
