I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 38

Get Her Pregnant in Two Days

Benjamin frowned slightly and said a little displeasedly, "Grandpa, did you agree because you were angry, or because you respected our decision?" "What's the difference?" Paul said coldly.

Benjamin said, "If Harper and I divorced without telling you, you wouldn't be able to stop us, but I didn't do that because I just hope you can respect our decision rather than keep being furious." "Oh, listen, my dear grandson wants to teach me a lesson. Good for you..."

Then Paul coughed, and Harper was the closest to him, so she quickly stood up, patted Paul's back, and poured some water. "Grandpa, don't get excited. Your health matters more than anything." "Harper, I'm so sorry for you. I shouldn't have told you to marry him at the first place."

"Grandpa, don't say that. You don't know how much I appreciate you. As for our divorce, it may be the best for us. After all, we have to face different choices at every stage of life, right?"

She thought silently in her heart that if it hadn't been for her grandfather, she wouldn't have been able to have this one-year marriage with Benjamin. In fact, it was enough.

Probably, her persuasion worked for Paul.

But Paul said again, "You can divorce, but I have a request."

"Grandpa, please tell me."

Benjamin and Harper said at the same time.

"You have been married for a year and have not lived with us in the Martin Manor. We are still a family anyway, so you must stay here for two days. You are not allowed to go anywhere but to stay here during these two days."

Harper was stunned.

Benjamin also fell silent.

They looked at each other.

Paul said, "Of course, I can't force you to do that if you don't agree."Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

The person Paul said to was Benjamin; he only targeted Benjamin.

Lily also said, "Benjamin, grandpa is not feeling well. You can't often irritate him."

"Since he asked you to do that, Benjamin, you must abide by it and do what grandpa said." Scott added.

So Benjamin and Harper stopped arguing.

Paul always acted vigorously and resolutely, and he had to do what he said immediately. "Then, you two should start tonight."

Then, he immediately told the servants to clean up the room for them and prepare their pajamas.

Although this decision was a bit sudden, it made no difference to Harper and Benjamin since they just lived in a different house. After all, they lived together in the Pineview Villa.

After dinner, they chatted with Paul for a while. Benjamin's cooperation probably satisfied Paul, so he stopped being mean to Benjamin anymore.

At about ten o'clock, Paul tried to let them stay alone and said, "You two should go upstairs and have a rest. See if you need anything? If so, ask someone to bring it to you." Harper nodded and then followed Benjamin upstairs under Paul's gaze.

As soon as they left, Paul immediately said to Lily, "We must find a way to ease the tense relationship between them, see if we can stop the divorce."

Lily nodded with a plan in her heart.

When she returned to the room, she said to Scott, "Did Paul hint that I would prepare something for Harper so that she can get pregnant in two days?"

...

The room Benjamin and Harper stayed in used to be Benjamin's room. Although Harper had lived in the Martin Manor several times, she first slept in this room.

The servants had prepared the clothes and toothbrushes. They looked at each other, and then Benjamin said, "You go take a shower first."

Harper didn't refuse; she just nodded and went to the bathroom.

Looking at her face, where smiles and brightness faded away, he frowned with confusion.

While Harper was taking a shower, Lauren called Benjamin, "Benjamin, it's so late, aren't you and Harper coming back?"

"We won't go back for the next two days. You should take care of yourself. If you have any problems, please contact Amanda." He responded calmly. "What? You're not going back for two days?"

"Yep."

"Are you going on a trip?"

Lauren asked, pretending to be calm, but Benjamin could hear her voice tremble.

Benjamin said, "No, this is my grandfather's request for divorce. He hopes that we can stay in the Martin Manor and stay with him for two days."

"So that you and Harper can divorce in two days?"

"Well, that's right."

Lauren was happy, and her words were full of joy. "Benjamin, does that mean we can truly be together?"

Benjamin said nothing.

Lauren rejoiced, and she added, "I'm really happy. I've been waiting for this day for a long time. I think it's worth waiting for so many years. As long as I can be with you, I can even die." "Lauren, don't that. Okay, it's getting late and it's time for you to rest."

"Well, okay, I will listen to whatever you say, Benjamin, good night."

Without saying too much, he hung up the phone.

He put his phone aside and walked to the balcony, looking at the night sky outside, feeling indescribably irritable.

He was the one who wanted to divorce.

But now, he felt reluctant to do that the moment he realized he was really going to divorce Harper.

After their divorce, Harper would have absolutely nothing to do with him. Even though the Martin family treated Harper well as always, they were no longer a couple. In the future, she would be with other men and have children.

He suddenly froze and became totally irritated. He was already pissed off even thinking about something that had not happened.

Benjamin looked gloomy, and he was curious about what happened to him.

When Harper came out of the bathroom, she saw him standing on the balcony. Looking at his back, she felt a little lonely, thinking that maybe he didn't want to spend time alone with her.

So she looked away and said calmly, "Benjamin, you go take a shower now."

Only then did Benjamin turn around, looking at her indifferently, then walk towards her and stand in front of her, staring intensely. "Harper, what are your plans after our divorce?" Harper was stunned for a moment, met his gaze, and after understanding what he meant, she replied, "I haven't thought about it now. The answer will reveal itself in the future." "You haven't thought about that?"

"Yep."

"Harper, after our divorce, will you be with Frank?"

Harper frowned. "I don't know, after all, who knows what will happen in the future?"

"You don't know or you don't want to tell me?" He continued to ask.

Harper said helplessly, "Benjamin, we are not predictors."

Walking to the bed, she lifted the blanket and was about to lie down, but Benjamin held her hand and said seriously, "Do you really want a divorce?"

Harper was stunned and looked at him in disbelief, guessing what he meant.

Then she realized how funny it was. "Does it mean that if I say I don't want to, you really won't get divorced with me?"
