Chapter 318 Amusement Park

"Colbert, are you asleep?"

Colbert's impatience was evident in his eyes as he held his phone against his left ear and heard the

voice on the other end. He said, "Not yet."

"I miss you."

Alva's voice was particularly gentle.

"Get some rest. I have things to take care of here. I'll talk to you later."

"Colbert, my parents aren't home today, and I'm a little scared of being alone. Can you come over and

keep me company?"

Alva hesitated for a moment before revealing her true purpose.

"I have something to handle right now. We can talk about it later."

Colbert didn't choose to accompany Alva just because of her coquettish words. He responded coldly

and then hung up the phone.

Sitting next to Colbert, Eudora couldn't hear who was on the other end of the phone, but she vaguely

guessed that it was Alva from Colbert's words.

Eudora surmised there might have been a disagreement between Colbert and Alva, given his cool

demeanor towards her during their conversation.

Eudora didn't say anything but kept looking out the window. The car race to Kenison City's largest

amusement park in the city center. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

The atmosphere in the car was heavy and depressing.

An hour later, the car arrived at the largest carnival amusement park in Kenison City.

Corey stopped the car. Colbert and Eudora opened the door and got out of the car.

Standing at the entrance of the amusement park, Eudora could see the rotating Ferris wheel inside the

park, lit up by neon lights and towering into the sky. The scene was exceptionally beautiful.

"Let's go in."

Eudora stood still, looking up at the Ferris wheel. Under the dazzling light, Colbert could see a hint of

sadness on her face.

Corey made arrangements with the staff while Colbert and Eudora walked into the park together. All the

rides were open, waiting for the two of them.

As they walked into the amusement park and saw all the exciting attractions, Eudora exclaimed, "My

family didn't have much money when I was young, so my parents would only take me to the local park

as a reward for getting straight A's at school. The rides were limited to things like bumper cars, kiddie

coasters, and a carousel. Even though it wasn't as thrilling as other amusement parks, I still felt happy

just being able to go as a child."

Now that she had grown up, Eudora could have whatever she wanted, but she missed the happiness

and joy of her childhood even more and longed to go back to those innocent days.
