Chapter 737 A Fight (Part Two)

Chapter 737 A Fight (Part Two)

"Violet, please trust me. There is nothing going on between me and Cassie. We were only classmates

at the university. There is nothing more than that," he said. Greg became quiet after that as he did not

know what more to say to her.

"Ho-ho," Violet cried helplessly. Her eyes were glazed. "Greg, when we got married, I did not doubt you

a little bit, I only loved you unconditionally. I forgot my desire for a wedding ring, ceremony and even a

wedding dress because I was happy that you were only mine. But, now I am not so sure whether my

confidence on you was right."

"Violet Chu," shouted Greg. He let go of her hand, stood up, and shouted,"Don't you believe me? For

me, she is only a friend. I have never ever loved her."

Although Greg was quite excited, Violet still didn't change her expression. It was as if she had known

all the time that how Greg would react to it. She kept sitting there still.

Her coldness made Greg's heart sink. He shouted angrily,"Yes, she loves me. Five years ago, when I

broke up with you, she used to take care of me. But I didn't accept her because I still loved you. Now I

am married. Even now I won't accept her love."

Feeling disappointed, Greg left the bedroom in anger.

Then, Violet heard the sound of the door being slammed. Tears ran down her face. She knew that Greg

had left the home.

It was cold. The room was dark. Violet was still lying in the bed, but her eyes were open. She didn't feel

sleepy. She was all alone in the big bedroom. It was the first time that she was feeling scared and

lonely.

Tears washed her pillow. While Violet held the quilt tightly, she wrapped herself with the quilt so that

she may no longer feel afraid. There was nobody to take care of her. She was so scared now, but there

was nobody to comfort her. Her body was shaking because of the fear. She was feeling dull and

confused. But there was nobody to bail her out from this misery.

This reminded Violet of the dreadful night years ago. The very night, she had fallen down in the glass

shards. The pain in her back had made her still. She could even feel the blood outblowing from her

body. Lying in the bright and big restaurant, she remembered that nobody had come to help her no

matter how hard she had screamed. And now she was feeling as helpless as that night.

"Ah," Violet finally shouted out. Then she cried sadly. What had she done that she should suffer so

much? Why did fate always victimize her? Why did happiness leave her life no sooner than it had

entered?

"Dad, Mom, Brother, Alice, I miss you all so much," Violet cried desperately.

Next morning, Violet woke up without having an idea about what time it was. After reaching the

bathroom, she saw her gaunt face in the mirror. Then she washed her face and began the cleanup

process.

The whole morning, Violet didn't eat anything. She only focused all her attention on cleaning the table,

the windows, and the floor.

Violet wanted to keep herself busy. By doing that she could avoid thinking about Greg. Staying

occupied reduced the pressure she was feeling.

Suddenly her mobile started ringing and she stopped to see who the caller was.

Violet took out her mobile phone and glanced at the screen. She quickly answered the phone,"Hello,

Alice."

"Violet, are you at home? I was planning to come and visit you," said Alice.

"Okay, just come here and stay with me," said Violet. The fact that she was upset was evident enough.

Alice realized there was something wrong with her, so she asked,"Did you have your lunch? Maybe I

could bring something for you to eat?"

"There's really no need for that. I don't want to eat anything. You can come here if you want to," said

Violet. Then she hung up the phone, feeling hurt and sad.

Violet walked into the bathroom and with a heavy hurt began to clean the bathtub and the toilet.

Half an hour later, Alice rang the bell of Violet's house with a bag of fruit in her hand.

With the brush in her hand, Violet walked to the door and opened it for Alice. And then without saying a

word, she walked into the bathroom again.

When Alice walked into the living room, she noticed that Violet was holding a brush in her hand. And

then Alice looked around the house, it looked quite clean.

Standing at the door of the bathroom, Alice saw that Violet was busy in cleaning the toilet. She just

realized how terrible Violet's state was.

"Violet, what are you doing to yourself? Stop this cleaning," Alice said. She took hold of Violet's arm

and wanted to help her stand up.

But Violet flung off Alice's hand and continued doing the cleaning, she didn't glance at Alice even once.

She said,"Please go to have a seat in the living room, just leave me alone for the time being."

Alice looked around to find Greg, but she didn't see him. This made her very angry. She asked

Violet,"Where is Greg? Does he know what a terrible mess he has made and that you are so upset

because of him?"

Violet didn't reply, as if what Alice had said did not concern her.

Alice thought that it wasn't good to leave Violet alone, so she seized Violet's arm and forcibly took her

out of the bathroom.

Alice pulled Violet to the sofa, and both of them sat on it together. Alice looked at Violet and

shouted,"Why do you look so down? Even though Greg had loved someone during those five years, it

really doesn't matter. You two were separated from each other at that time."

Alice's words hurt Violet's ears hard.

Alice's words seemed to work. Violet's mood uplifted a little and she did not seem as upset as she was

a moment ago.

Noticing the change in her mood, Alice added,"Violet, you know well how charming Greg is. It is normal Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.

if other women get attracted to him. Why are you tormenting yourself because of such a small

issue?"
