Chapter 37: To the Palace
"Who unleashed a dog?"
The only chief seated with the king said. The noise kept coming till a woman broke into the palace. The
guards tried to restrain her in vain. The energy behind the cry seemed to had fueled her veins. She was
so energetic.
At last, one of the guards was able to hold her down but the king called for her freedom.
No sooner the guard let her go than she scrambled to the front of the king and almost threw herself on
the king.
One of the attendants held unto her again and pulled her to the feet of the throne.
"What's this drama, woman?"
The King finally asked, but the woman seemed to had swam in the ocean of her tears. There were
scars on her face but on the right cheek, there was a gore.
"And what's all these all over your face?"
The King said taking into account the odds of the lady.
"Definitely she had stepped on her husband's nerves. Stepped out of her bounds."
The seated chief said. The woman didn't look at him. She didn't care whatever anyone had to say.
Even if she wanted to say a thing, not to that annoying chief.
"It came. He came. My baby. My baby. Her father. My baby."
She kept saying as she kept throwing herself all over the attendant. The attendant didn't want to let go
of her.

and running all over her body in the name of restraining.
To the attendant, it seemed the lady was enjoying it. Because even though she had an idea what was
going on, she still kept throwing herself all over him.
Who was he to reject or hold himself off?
"Let her go, Oioa."
The King ordered the attendant. Oioa let her go. The King had ruined his merry.
"What counsel do you expect if you don't help me understand what happened to you."
The King said.
The woman made a thud on the floor as soon as Oioa let her go.
For a moment, they all thought she had collapsed or something close to that.
Then they heard her sniffle. She began to sit up. Her eyes were red and her face swollen from the
uncontrollable tears.
"I was having an argument with my husband about the monster."
She started off. Her voice breaking to the rhythm of fresh tears.
"What monster?"
The chief asked. She ignored. A typical dummy he was to her.
"I was scared. I said it, that I was sore scared, but he wouldn't believe me. He took me for a fool and
saucy woman. He took his usual drink and left the room in annoyance, he was met by the waiting
monster."
She tried to cut the words off. She couldn't word it.
"Then the monster hit me and took my baby. He took my baby, ihhhhhh"
She was torn. She couldn't help the tears gushing.
The King was moved. Even the jaws of the crazy chief dropped.
The King stood up. Steps needed to be taken.
He ordered Oioa to take the woman away and nurse her.
Quite a bother that was.
